Chapter 128 - Chapter 19: When They Arrived

---

**Astra :** "KAIZAR."

He was already at the transformation.

Mastered Super Inferno.

The warmth of it arriving before the visual — the deeper orange of the mastered form, crystal eyes, the longer hair moving with its own energy, lightning threading through the aura.

Beside him:

Tenkai.

Also transforming.

Also Mastered Super Inferno.

Two transformations at the same moment — the light of them combining, the double quality of two things at the same level in the same space.

They jumped.

They flew.

They teleported.

The speed of transformation combined with teleportation — the approach from angles that defense should not account for simultaneously.

They attacked.

---

Xen Astria stood in the center of the combined assault.

She moved.

With the speed that matched the speed coming at her.

Astra's silver exploding punches — the foundational layer, the Dragon Goddess compression, the punches that had moved Tenkai through four planets.

She dodged each one.

By the edge.

The margin between landing and not landing.

She countered.

A punch into his guard.

The silver slashes responded automatically — the surface expression of the Divine Art at Mastered level, outward from the contact point.

The slashes hit her.

They hit.

The crimson aura absorbed most of it.

Not all.

She went back one step.

One step.

**Xen Astria :** "The foundational layer slashes."

She said it.

**Xen Astria :** "Those reach something the standard strikes do not. Interesting."

She looked at Astra.

Then at Tenkai.

She moved.

Every cosmic attack — redirected. The distance between technique and landing never closing.

Tenkai charged.

She was not there.

---

Astria.

She had been preparing since the twins went into the mountains.

She breathed.

The ice escaped from her breath — the cold present in the exhale, the power this close to the surface.

Her hands.

A rainbow orb.

Not the standard ice technique. The thing at the intersection of everything she was — ice power and healing power and Blizzard Dragon lineage and years of precision and the specific intention she was putting into the shape of it now.

The rainbow quality — not accidental, the technique itself. Ice containing all its frequencies simultaneously. The specific configuration that existed at the highest expression of the standard lineage.

It was warm. It was cold. It was both.

She breathed.

She targeted.

**Astria :** "Take this."

She shot it.

The orb traveled through the crimson air — the wrong medium for something this color, this warm.

Xen Astria turned.

She saw it.

She looked at it.

She raised one hand.

The explosion rewrote the local geography.

The area went rainbow.

It went frozen.

The two qualities combining — the rainbow of the orb and the response — creating the specific visual of two enormous things occupying one location.

It held.

Then faded.

All of it.

The rainbow and the frozen and the orb and the response.

Gone.

The crimson still there.

Xen Astria still there.

The crimson aura rising from her fully.

She touched two fingers to her head.

**Xen Astria :** "Huh. Too bad."

She breathed.

**Xen Astria :** "The Absolute Blizzard configuration. I know it. I used to use it. The rainbow form is the highest expression of the standard lineage."

She looked at Astria.

**Xen Astria :** "If you had reached me, it would have genuinely hurt."

She breathed.

**Xen Astria :** "You almost reached me."

She looked at the whole team.

Battered. Breathing. Still standing.

She breathed.

Then she moved toward Astra.

Not to fight.

To end.

She punched.

He saw it. He moved.

He did not fully move.

The punch found his stomach.

He fell.

He hit the ground.

He breathed.

He breathed.

He was on the ground.

---

The portal.

From above the planet — from the crimson space — it opened.

Not standard.

Crimson.

Two presences.

The specific quality of something that had an enormous amount of what it was and was not hiding it.

**Kaizar :** "That is something worse."

He said it from the field's edge where he had risen.

Then the voice.

Familiar.

The recognition arriving before the processing.

**Voice :** "I told you, Ares! Don't send her to the weird places without telling us first!"

Tenkai's voice.

His exact quality.

But carrying something Tenkai did not have.

**Tenkai :** "Tch."

He said it from where he was standing.

**Tenkai :** "That is my voice."

**Astra :** "It cannot—"

They came through.

---

Xen Astra.

The same face. Same silver spiky hair. Same silver eyes — but this silver had been changed at the origin. Same source. Different everything since the source.

Crimson jacket.

The Cursed Dragon Clan construction, in the jacket form, in the silhouette that was unmistakably Astra's.

Crimson gi underneath.

No golden earring.

The aura.

Crimson silver.

Both layers simultaneously — the original silver of the Dragon Goddess compression and the corrupted crimson of what had been done to it, expressed together.

It ignited.

It moved outward.

Through the field.

Through the sky above the field.

Through the space of the planet.

Outward in the direction that power moved when it was at the scale that did not need aiming.

Astra felt it on the ground.

Through the silver in him.

Through the Dragon Goddess layer.

The recognition of the same origin expressed from a different direction.

He breathed.

He looked at the figure.

---

Beside Xen Astra:

Xen Tenkai.

Dark crimson armor — not ceremonial, functional. The armor of someone who wore it because it served a purpose and had designed the purpose into the construction.

Same golden-black eyes.

Carrying the quality Tenkai's eyes had had before Buddha's realm.

Before the patience trial.

Before the small fear was named.

The full undiluted pride.

The pride that had not been walked through the mountain.

They stood.

Xen Astria teleported to Xen Astra's side.

She looked at him.

**Xen Astria :** "You came back."

**Xen Astra :** "Of course."

He looked at the main team.

At Astra on the ground.

He looked at the silver eyes of the person who had his face.

He smirked.

**Xen Astra :** "Well."

He breathed.

**Xen Astra :** "For now."

He narrowed his eyes.

**Xen Astra :** "Bye."

He breathed.

**Xen Astra :** "But soon — when we return."

He looked at Astra directly.

**Xen Astra :** "It will be worse."

He said it with the quality of a promise rather than a threat. The specific tone of something being told rather than performed.

**Xen Astra :** "Much worse."

The crimson blur.

They were gone.

The portal closed.

The crimson space remained.

The field remained.

The damage remained.

---

Silence.

Astra was on the ground.

He breathed.

He pushed himself up.

One hand on the broken surface.

He breathed.

He looked at the team.

At Tenkai standing through effort.

At Kaizar at the field's edge.

At Astria on her feet, hands still in the position from the orb.

At the dust settling from both mountains.

He breathed.

**Astra :** "Tch."

He looked at the field.

**Astra :** "They did this much damage."

He breathed.

**Astra :** "To all of us. In this short time."

He said it as honest accounting.

Not despair.

Not rage.

The receiving of information.

He breathed.

He looked at where the portal had been.

He breathed.

**Astra :** "We have a lot of work to do."

He said it quietly.

He looked at the mountains.

**Astra :** "Let's get everyone."

He stood.

He walked.
