Looking at the Tyrant, which seemed to have already died—
"Is it dead?" Billy asked, swallowing hard after witnessing how Svetlana fought such a terrifying monster. Their battle hadn't even lasted five minutes.
"Let's make sure by burning its body until nothing remains," Allen said as he tossed three incendiary grenades onto the Tyrant, reducing it to ashes.
Billy was left speechless—these people really seemed to enjoy blowing up their enemies.
"You look disappointed, Lana," Allen said, glancing at Svetlana.
"Yeah, a little. It was fast and strong, but every move was too easy to read. I thought I'd finally get a real fight, but… that thing was basically just a punching bag," Svetlana replied, clenching her fist until it cracked.
Allen understood. That Tyrant was just one of Umbrella's weaker models. There were others—like the 003 and Nemesis—that were far more dangerous. Maybe next time, she'd get the fight she wanted.
"Alright, let's move," Allen said.
He glanced at a CCTV camera—bang!—and shot it without hesitation.
"Allen, why do you always shoot cameras when you see them?" Rebecca asked, confused.
"Just making sure no one's watching us," Allen replied casually, stepping closer to her.
Billy watched quietly, a bit impressed. With how skilled and coordinated they were, he couldn't help but feel a little envious—especially seeing how loyal they seemed to Allen.
Not long after, they reached a huge gate blocking the path.
Svetlana stepped forward.
BANG!
With one powerful kick, the gate was forced open.
No one had time to look for keys in a place like this. It was faster to just break through—besides, Allen was basically treating this like a speedrun.
Meanwhile, Wesker, who was making his way out of the facility, discovered that his escape route had been blocked by a swarm of leeches.
At first, Marcus had intended to go after Allen and the others. But for some reason, the moment he saw his true enemy—Albert Wesker—his plans changed.
"Albert… long time no see," Marcus said.
"You again… sorry, but I don't have time for chit-chat," Wesker muttered, slightly startled as he raised his pistol and immediately opened fire.
Bang!.. Bang!.. Bang!..
He had no intention of wasting time talking to a B.O.W.—every second mattered for his escape.
"How dare you hurt my children, Wesker. Die!" Marcus roared in anger, commanding the leeches to surge forward.
Wesker reacted instantly, dodging the attack with precise movements.
"Hahaha! Wesker, you're too weak to defeat me. Why not give up, accept your fate, and become food for my children?" Marcus mocked.
But Wesker only smirked slightly.
"Hmm… really? Then how about you try this."
Without hesitation, he threw a grenade straight at Marcus.
BOOM!
The explosion tore through Marcus's body, leaving him writhing in pain.
"Ahhhh! Wesker!!!" the Queen Leech screamed, its body half-burned.
Fueled by rage, it began to transform into a massive form, lashing out wildly at everything around it.
Seeing the opening, Wesker didn't hesitate. He turned and escaped through another route.
Behind him, the Queen Leech let out a furious roar and gave chase, following his trail.
Back to Allen, who had just arrived in the Control Room, completely unaware that elsewhere in the facility, Wesker and Marcus were locked in a deadly chase.
Some of the computers in the room were damaged, but still usable. Allen grabbed a storage disc and began copying whatever data he could find. The system was old, so his options were limited—he only managed to secure the most important files.
In the next room, Rebecca stepped into an adjacent lab filled with large tanks.
"Allen, can you come here and take a look at this?" she called out after noticing something strange inside.
"What the hell is that?" Billy muttered.
Allen entered after finishing the data transfer. He had used an access code from his woman, Alex, allowing him to bypass Umbrella's system with ease.
"That's the result of genetic modification combined with the T-Virus. In short, this experiment can turn a rat into a tiger," Allen explained.
"And how exactly do you know that?" Billy asked suspiciously.
"I just pulled the data from the computer," Allen replied casually.
"Ohhh, I see," Billy said, nodding as he gave a thumbs-up, as if saying nice work, man.
Svetlana, overhearing, just rolled her eyes. This man is really good at dodging questions.
"So, Allen, with this evidence, do you think we can finally report all the crimes Umbrella's been committing?" Rebecca asked, her voice carrying a hint of hope—maybe their case could finally be exposed.
Allen shook his head. "It won't be that easy. Even if we gather strong evidence, Umbrella still has enough power everywhere to cover things up. Remember—many have tried before us. Their reports never saw the light of day, or the investigators simply disappeared. I'm starting to believe parts of the government are involved in covering up Umbrella's activities."
Rebecca's expression grew heavy as she realized just how dangerous the situation really was. "But… is there at least something we can do about it?" she asked.
"At the very least, we wait for the right time to expose this. I just hope you'll have the patience until then," Allen answered.
Rebecca finally nodded in reluctant agreement.
"Alright, we'd better move. I've discovered this place won't be standing much longer—looks like someone else was here before us and is trying to wipe out the evidence," Allen told the group.
"What do you mean?" Billy asked, a little confused.
"Someone's activated this facility's self-destruction protocol. It won't be long before the whole place blows up," Allen explained.
Hearing that, everyone immediately agreed—it was time to get out as fast as possible.
The four of them then hurriedly left, although on their way out they were slightly hindered by several monsters such as some giant insects and a strange monkey that attacked them.
However, with Svetlana and Allen there, the monkey was quickly taken care of.
Not long after, they finally reached the exit corridor leading to the main hall entrance.
Allen frowned slightly. Something felt off—there was no sign of Dr. Marcus anywhere.
He didn't know that at this very moment, Marcus was busy chasing Albert Wesker, which was why their paths never crossed.
.....
Back to Wesker's POV, he seemed to be having trouble; for some reason, he felt unlucky today because he kept getting chased by Dr. Marcus. And with all the hatred Marcus had carried for so long, in his final moments, the Queen Leech was driven by one single purpose—to relentlessly pursue Wesker.
Seeing Wesker continuously running only made Marcus grow even more furious, as if he had no intention of letting him escape so easily. Marcus began hurling metal debris and anything around him to block Wesker's path, trying to cut off his escape. Even so, Wesker managed to evade every attack with sharp and precise movements.
While Wesker was still being chased by the Queen Leech, a few hours earlier, Sergei had received a report from Umbrella Intelligence: Wesker was making strange moves, actions that hinted at betrayal.
Unwilling to let things slide, Sergei decided to see for himself what was happening.
Now, Sergei stood in front of two towering figures—Tyrant-003 standing tall and silent at his side.
"Hmph… Wesker, what are you truly plotting? Are you really going to betray Umbrella? If so… it seems I'll have no choice but to discipline you," Sergei muttered, Spencer's orders still sharp in his mind.
Without hesitation, Sergei made up his mind. He would head straight for Wesker's location to uncover the truth.
...
At this moment, Wesker was still running through the dark corridors, with Dr. Marcus—now transformed into a giant leech—relentlessly chasing him.
"Die, Wesker!" Marcus roared as part of his body morphed into a whip, lashing out from behind.
Seeing this, Wesker cursed. "Shit!"
He leapt forward, flipping into a somersault to dodge the attack.
Baang!
The whip tore through the air, smashing everything around it in an instant.
"You almost got me…" Wesker muttered, cold sweat running down his face. If he had been any slower, his body would've been split in half—or worse.
But even so, Wesker didn't stop. He kept moving while tossing another grenade toward Marcus.
"Eat this."
BOOOOM!!
The explosion echoed through the corridor—but this time, Marcus managed to avoid it.
"Hmph… so even after turning into that ugly monster, you still have some brains," Wesker muttered, realizing the creature could learn and adapt. The same trick wouldn't work twice.
Even so, it piqued his interest slightly. The T-Virus bringing someone back from the dead—and granting this level of power…
But right now, survival came first.
Without wasting another second, Wesker ran again.
Eventually, he reached an underground subway—and there, he saw Sergei, standing calmly with two Tyrant-003 units beside him.
"Wesker, you look like you're in trouble," Sergei said mockingly. "Care to explain? Or should I assume this is your little experiment behind Umbrella's back?"
"That's not my doing," Wesker replied quickly, dodging another strike as he moved. "That monster is Marcus. Dr. Marcus—he came back to life because of the T-Virus."
Sergei watched him, unmoved.
"I'd appreciate it if you helped me out here," Wesker added, clearly having no other choice.
"You're saying that thing is Dr. Marcus? You're not joking, are you?" Sergei replied, his tone calm—but his eyes showed interest.
If that was true, then the T-Virus was far more valuable than he had imagined.
"Yes, I'm not joking—and I need help!" Wesker said, firing his pistol again, though it did nothing against the Queen Leech.
"…Fine. Move."
With a simple command, Sergei ordered the two Tyrants to advance.
At that moment, seeing new figures appear, Marcus paused. His body shifted, briefly returning to a more human form—he recognized Sergei.
"Umbrella dogs… you and Wesker… I'll make sure you all die here," Marcus snarled.
Suddenly, he spewed out countless leeches, sending them swarming toward everyone in the subway chamber. His body twisted again, transforming back into a massive leech as he lunged toward the Tyrant-003 units.
The battle began instantly.
Meanwhile, Wesker had already retreated far into the back.
Instead of helping, he quietly pulled out a small camera and started recording the fight—collecting combat data in secret.
Data he planned to sell later… to Umbrella's enemies.
....
Meanwhile, Allen and his group had reached the main hall. But Svetlana suddenly stopped, her body going still as she sensed something off.
The atmosphere felt wrong—like something was waiting to ambush them the moment they tried to leave.
"Wait… I feel something ahead," Svetlana said, raising her rifle. Her instincts were screaming that something bad was about to happen.
But Billy didn't seem willing to wait.
"I'll go first. Cover me from behind," he said.
Everyone nodded.
As soon as Billy took a step forward—
Crack!
The floor suddenly gave way.
Allen reacted instantly, kicking Billy away and sending him flying across the room.
"Ugh! That hurts," Billy groaned—but when he looked back and saw a reptile-like monster lunging from below, he realized that kick had just saved his life.
Without hesitation, Svetlana and Rebecca opened fire. Billy and Allen quickly joined in, unleashing a storm of bullets toward the creature.
The Hunter-type monster endured for a while, moving fast and trying to dodge the gunfire—but it didn't matter.
Svetlana's aim was too precise, tracking its every movement flawlessly.
Not long after, the creature finally collapsed.
Allen didn't take any chances. He immediately tossed a grenade onto its corpse.
BOOM!
He wasn't about to let it mutate and come back stronger.
"Alright, let's move. This place is about to blow," Allen said, noticing dawn was approaching.
The others nodded.
Svetlana stepped forward and kicked the exit door open.
BANG!
Outside, three zombies lurking behind the door were sent flying.
Without hesitation, Allen and the others finished them off with clean shots to the head.
.....
Back to Sergei, he and his two Tyrants were still facing Marcus, who seemed to be adapting quickly and was now fighting on equal footing with the two bio-weapons.
"Looks like I'll have to step in," Sergei said calmly.
He opened the supply case inside his vehicle. Inside was an RPG. Without hesitation, he lifted it and aimed straight at Marcus, who was being restrained by the two Tyrants.
Whoosh!
The rocket fired—
BOOM!!!
A massive explosion tore through Marcus's body, blowing it into pieces.
"Hmph… truly weak," Sergei muttered.
He then retrieved a case and began collecting samples from what remained of Marcus's body.
But not long after, a loud alarm echoed throughout the facility—the self-destruct system had been activated.
"This must be Wesker's doing," Sergei growled, scanning the area.
However, Wesker was already gone.
With no other choice, Sergei decided to withdraw. He ordered the two heavily injured Tyrants to follow, then quickly made his escape—taking the recovered sample with him.
