After hanging up, the car came to a stop at a red light. Chu Yao sensed Lu Xize looking at her, seemingly waiting for an explanation.
Chu Yao held up her phone. "Qin Ningning. She's coming to the Imperial City the day after tomorrow, so we're planning to meet up."
After speaking, Chu Yao paused. She wasn't sure if Lu Xize would even remember who that was and was just about to explain further when he spoke up. "Your middle school deskmate? I'll book a restaurant for you two. What do you feel like eating?"
Chu Yao was taken aback; she hadn't expected him to remember.
Qin Ningning was her deskmate in middle school and also her best friend. After Chu Yao entered the entertainment industry, she had lost touch with almost all of her old classmates and friends, with the sole exception of Qin Ningning.
