Andrea Hayes flipped her camera around, pointing it at the stray cats with their heads buried in their food.
The little orange cat was among them.
Renee Jennings watched the stray cats through the camera, a faint smile touching her eyes.
Her lips moved slightly as she whispered, "All I can say is that you and the little orange cat were fated to meet, but not destined to be together."
"Yeah," Andrea's voice was tinged with regret. "I hope the little orange cat finds someone who will love it."
She said, troubled, "I've asked people I trust, but none of them are looking to get a pet."
"It's okay," Renee comforted her. "It just means they weren't fated to be with the kitten."
Andrea was about to say something when the little orange cat padded over to her, tilting its fluffy little head up to look at her.
"Meow~"
"Little Orange," Andrea said, squatting in front of it. She reached out to stroke its fur and asked, "Ms. Jennings, what is the little orange cat saying?"
