「That night.」
Su Qi cuddled in Jiang Zuo's arms and said, "Let's pull an all-nighter."
Jiang Zuo didn't respond.
'I should just pretend I'm asleep.'
Then Su Qi looked up at Jiang Zuo. "I thought you were asleep."
Jiang Zuo didn't want to take the bait, but he knew that if he kept quiet, Su Qi would steer the conversation wherever she pleased. So, he spoke up, "We can't even see the moon from here. Should we install a skylight on the roof?"
Su Qi said, "I've already looked into it. We still wouldn't be able to see the moon with a skylight unless we made it bigger. But a big one would make me feel insecure. I'd always feel exposed. That's no good.
So it's better just to curl up and sleep."
Jiang Zuo looked at the ceiling. It was actually quite dark in the room, with just a sliver of moonlight shining in.
Su Qi sat up in front of him. "Aren't you going to look at me? You can check if I've gained any weight."
