The farmhouse didn't have a water heater, so they had to boil water in a large pot.
Liam Linden carried a freshly boiled bucket of hot water to the bathing room and prepared a bucket of cold water for her as well.
"The conditions aren't great. You'll have to make do."
Faye Vaughn nodded, signaling it was no problem. "I'm not as delicate as you think."
Before she came to this world, she had gone into the mountains with film crews many times, staying in places a hundred times rougher than this.
"You should be more delicate," Liam Linden said out of the blue.
"What do you mean?" Faye Vaughn asked, confused.
Liam Linden didn't answer.
'She should be living a life of wealth and comfort.'
'Because, in his heart, she deserved it.'
"Go ahead and wash up. Just call me if you need anything." Liam Linden turned and walked out of the bathing room.
He didn't go far, just stood guard a few steps from the door.
