"You're angry?" Finn Hawthorne's eyes lit up. "Are you mad that I was ignoring you and about to leave with another girl?"
Faye Vaughn's expression was cold. She pursed her lips, saying nothing.
"You care about me, don't you?" Finn Hawthorne moved closer, hooking his arm around hers and clinging to her. "Just say you're jealous, and I won't go."
Faye Vaughn shook off his hand.
She remained silent.
Seeing her cold expression, Finn Hawthorne grew inexplicably excited. 'It's like I've found her weak spot.'
'She was hurt by my older brother in the past. He abandoned her for Vivian time and time again, so she has a complex about it.'
'I almost made the same mistake he did.'
"Don't be mad, girlfriend." Undeterred, Finn Hawthorne clung to her again, taking her hand and shaking it gently. "I'm not leaving. I was wrong. Go ahead, hit me."
He grabbed her hand and slapped his own face with it.
