Nerida stood up.
Her gaze fell upon the little girl trotting toward her. As the small figure drew closer, Nerida's eyes lit up.
She was smitten at first sight.
'Is this some kind of cosmic ploy to make me want a daughter?'
"Such an adorable little girl."
"Wow... is this our little Princess?"
Nerida was getting excited.
The little girl before her was fair-skinned and chubby-cheeked, with her hair in little braids and a few small flowers tucked in. Dressed in a small, red-and-white-sleeved dress, she looked absolutely precious.
Nerida walked over, bent down slightly, and reached out to gently pinch her little cheek. A happy expression spread across her face as she felt the little girl's skin.
"This chubby little face is like a little steamed bun."
