Aeron looked at her and said, "Wife, you should sit too."
Nerida didn't stand on ceremony with him. She sat down opposite him and picked up her chopsticks.
"Let's eat." She tossed out the words and started eating herself. After all, she had cooked this food; there was no reason not to eat it.
After Aeron took a bite of her cooking, his eyes lit up.
This was delicious.
That was delicious too.
'I wasn't able to capture my wife's heart with my cooking, but she has already captured mine with hers.'
He looked at the dishes on the table and ate, and ate. The thought that his wife had made all this for him with her own hands made Aeron's heart swell with joy. 'Maybe she does have a place for me in her heart after all.'
He remembered how he had set the kitchen on fire today, his first time trying to cook. 'Looks like I'll have to cross 'capturing my wife's heart with my cooking' off the list. It's just not for me. But that's fine. My father taught me other ways.'
