The young girl kneeling before them was still speaking.
"You didn't hold our past against me, Sister. You gave me a new life and taught me what it means to be human. Thank you."
Celeste Grant gave a dry laugh.
"Would you believe me if I said this was all a misunderstanding?"
The World's Will wasn't buying it. No matter what Celeste Grant said now, she would only believe her to be in the right. "I know you're just saying that so I won't feel burdened," she said. "You're so kind and wonderful. It makes me feel even more ashamed of myself."
"No matter what you think, I belong to you now. I'll do anything you ask of me, Sister. I'm very strong, so I can protect you from now on. If anyone tries to hurt you, they'll have to get through me first. I'll fight them to the death."
