Varney
I'd have ransacked my stupid roommate's outfits and arrived in class with one of his clothes, but I had a feeling he did that on purpose, to bait me into doing this, so he'd then make a commotion of that in school and paint me as a cloth thief.
I pulled on my hair in frustration. Even if I want to soak my roommates clothes in water too right now, that wouldn't help my situation. I can think about revenge later, but what I need right now, is a solution.
A lightbulb suddenly came on in my head and Evan's face materialized in my head.
Yes! Evan!
A relieved sigh left my mouth. Evan and I have similar body builds, and he's also a human slave like me, which means there's a chance he's yet to leave his room yet.
Without wasting a second, I rushed to his room.
I was about to knock when the door opened and by the looks of his elegant backpack over his shoulders, he was about to set out.
"Varney?" He echoed in surprise as he took in the sight of me in a tattered robe. I let out an awkward chuckle.
"Can you please lend me clothes to wear to today's classes?" I asked and when he blinked in surprise, I rushed to add.
"My roommate threw water over all my clothes while I was was cleaning the dorm building so I can't wear any of them." I explained and he nodded, grabbing my hand and pulling me into his room before I could utter another word.
"That sounds like a nightmare. Your roommate must really hate you." He spat out almost pitifully as he began to look through his outfits. My eyes darted around his dorm, it looked so much better than ours, the decoration and entire vibe.
"And I didn't do a single thing to him, he just hates me so much," I sighed out and he hummed as he returned to me holding a bunch of clothes in his arms.
"That's the crime we have to pay in this school for being human." He tutted. "At least my roommate doesn't give me problems, but we aren't besties or anything."
I let out a low sound. Sounds like racism, what we're passing through in this school.
"Anyways, I believe you'll look good in these clothes. Make a pick." He gestured to his clothes and my eyes widened, my hands going up fast.
"Evan, you don't need to give me beautiful clothes, I just need anything to go to school in."
He waved me off, already digging through the clothes himself.
"Nonsense. You'll dress very prettily today." He decleared.
I opened my mouth to object but he was already pushing some clothes into my arms.
"Try it on quickly."
My mouth opened and closed without a sound coming out. I want to object because the clothes were the softest I've touched but he has a determined look on his face.
I shrugged into the clothes fast, then I felt awkward as I looked at my reflection in the mirror beside his bed.
"Evan, I'm not sure about this..," I began hesitatingly. I looked, well… unusual. The top was bright pink, and it was way too tight. These are the tightest clothes I've ever worn.
The pants were the tightest, hugging every inch of my skin.
"You look absolutely good in this, my goodness! Look at your waist, it's nonexistent." He gushed and I grimaced. My waist looked ridiculously small in the top, and my hips looked wider than I realized they actually were.
"You have childbearing hips, male omegas would kill to have curves like this." He gushed out again and I blanched.
"What the fuck is that?"
He giggled at my baffled expression, his eyes dancing with amusement and his hand slapped over his mouth.
"Nothing. And let's go right now, we're late." He urged, already picking his backpack up and basically pulling me along with him out of the room, ignoring all my protests to change into something less… loud.
"Stop fretting, you look good and I'm sure everyone will be staring." He assured me after I grabbed my own tattered bag pack, then we were moving again.
"That's the problem, I don't wanna look good." I sighed out but he rolled his eyes, telling me that I was being ridiculous.
"If only you had let your hair down, then you'd have looked absolutely Divine."
I scoffed. "Absolutely not. I hate my hair and will cut it off soon."
He let out an outraged gasp. "Don't you dare! I'll be offended if you do. I've always wished my blond hair was long, and you wanna cut yours?!"
I rolled my eyes. He'd never be able to understand. The hair stood out too much and I don't know what to do with the length. It was pointless for me to still keep it.
"I've been meaning to ask, are your eyes contact lenses?" Evan asked, and I glanced at him, instantly feeling self conscious,
"Cause they're so fucking pretty."
My eyes widened in surprise. "They are?"
He nodded. "Of course! They're cool. Two beautiful colors."
I let out a small sound. If only others thought like that, but instead I get labeled a freak because of that.
"Thank you." I said to him sincerely. "For the compliment, for lending me your clothes and for just being this nice to me, I guess."
Even in my past life and this, no one has ever shown me such kindness. A close second was last night when Kade carried me back home.
He offered me a small smile, nudging my shoulder. "Of course. We're friends, aren't we?"
My heart sang in happiness.
"We are." I echoed after him.

On getting to today's class, the professor was still yet to arrive and I felt relieved. I stood with Evan and my new werewolf friend Darcy, whom I was happy to meet again.
"Wow, you look so beautiful!!!" He gushed loudly, attracting some attention and my face reddened in embarrassment before I quickly hushed him.
After that, I decided to ask a question I've been thinking of since last night.
"Do you think it's allowed to sell stuff here in school?" I asked and they both focused on me.
"Like what? But I haven't heard any news of that being declared." Darcy pointed out while Evan added.
"That's probably because no one's ever done it before. But I don't think that should be a problem, considering that you don't break any rules."
"I was thinking of selling sweets, or baked snacks." I revealed tentatively, explaining that since cooking was my speciality, it would help me make some income which I basically need. I didn't see the point in lying cause I clearly need money to anyone with eyes, and if I'm gonna be friends with these two people on moving forward, then I should be able to talk to them about this.
Their eyes brightened. "This sounds like a great plan, you're such a genius!" Gushed Evan.
Darcy clapped his hands, jumping excitedly. "We'll be your first customers! And I'll help you get more customers, I know a lot of people. I can't wait to try your cooking out."
I blushed, feeling shy and so grateful that these two were willing to support me.
The professor arrived at that moment and we ended up sitting side by side.
The professor was a tall, broad looking man, who had an air of authority around him.
"Today, we're learning physical strength and we're basing it on hands on techniques. You'll all have to test your strength against each other." He spoke, glancing at a bunch of papers in his hands.
A murmur went through the crowd at once and I glanced at Darcy who was bouncing excitedly.
"Is this gonna be fun?" I asked and Evan snorted.
"If you get a weak partner. If your partner is stronger, you'll lose badly, I'm talking full on injuries. There's no fun in losing."
My focus returned back to the professor while I wondered who I'll pick as my partner. Darcy or Evan? Would either of them even wanna pick me?
"To ensure a fair and realistic distribution, I'm dividing everyone into groups randomly. This is to show everyone that in real life, you'll never be able to pick your opponent. You'll never be able to decide if you'll face off with a stronger or weaker foe, nor will you ever be fully prepared to face them."
The murmurs quietened down after that and everyone seemed to have tensed up. Or perhaps it was just me cause now I could feel nerves start to rise within me.
"Now, I'll read out the names. If called, please head over to your partner's side. After everyone gets fully partnered up, we'll head out to the field for the display." The professor's voice broke through the air, then he picked up a long paper up.
"First on the list is Knox."
The processor paused. It seemed like everyone stopped breathing.
"And his partner…"
