In the Marvel Universe, gods were indeed immensely powerful.
To ordinary mortals, they were practically invincible existences.
However, there weren't actually that many gods in the Marvel Universe.
Nor was every region guarded by a god.
As for those evil demon gods, they might claim that they would provide support, but how much help they would actually offer was anyone's guess.
Therefore, throughout the entire Multiverse, there were many places without any powerful beings standing guard.
Abraxas might have been insane.
But he wasn't stupid.
After realizing that the Five Great Gods could attack him at any moment, he naturally became more cautious.
Each time, he specifically chose an unguarded universe to attack.
Moreover, every time he destroyed a universe, he immediately fled.
The powerful beings who rushed over as reinforcements could do absolutely nothing about it.
By the time they arrived, all they could see were the shattered remains of a universe and enormous numbers of dead creatures.
Those creatures looked as though something had drained all the moisture from their bodies, leaving behind only shriveled, incomplete corpses.
Everyone knew what had happened.
The Law of Destruction had completely annihilated their vitality.
Their bodies had withered into dried-out remains.
Yet scenes like this could now be found everywhere.
In a single night, Abraxas destroyed more than ten thousand parallel universes.
As he continued devouring them, his power only grew stronger and stronger.
To deal with Abraxas, the Five Great Gods once again gathered the gods together.
"This can't continue."
"The more universes he destroys, the faster the entire Multiverse will collapse."
"If half the universes are destroyed, I'm afraid we won't even last long enough to reach that point."
Galactus spoke with an extremely grave expression.
The surrounding gods nodded as well.
"What about the Living Tribunal?"
"Can't the Living Tribunal intervene?"
"If the Living Tribunal takes action, he could destroy Abraxas instantly."
Gaea spoke.
"No."
"The Living Tribunal exists to maintain the balance of this world."
"The Multiverse hasn't completely lost its balance yet. Even the great Living Tribunal cannot intervene."
Eternity spoke from nearby.
"Damn it. What a nuisance."
"Then how are we supposed to deal with Abraxas?"
"He's slippery as hell now. He simply refuses to fight us head-on."
Several of the more hot-tempered gods spoke up.
"There's no other way."
"If it truly becomes necessary, we'll have no choice but to move the universes."
Galactus spoke.
"That's insane!"
"No! Absolutely not!"
"That would be no different from directly destroying the Multiverse!"
The gods immediately shouted in protest, reacting extremely fiercely.
Within the Multiverse, every universe maintained its own internal balance.
The Main Universe and its countless parallel universes together maintained an extremely delicate and intricate equilibrium.
If they moved the universes, that balance could easily be broken.
At that point, even if the Multiverse wasn't completely destroyed, it wouldn't be far from it.
"We choose the lesser of two evils."
"We don't have any other choice."
"Besides, with all of us watching over the process, nothing should go wrong."
"That's my proposal. Does anyone object?"
Annihilus spoke.
He sat in the main seat, sweeping the room with a cold, domineering gaze.
A tremendous aura of power radiated from him.
The gods who had been shouting just moments earlier immediately fell silent.
Humans feared death.
Gods weren't much different.
Annihilus was overwhelmingly powerful, and very few gods dared to provoke him.
Seeing that none of them spoke again, Annihilus finally nodded in satisfaction.
"Then that's what we'll do."
"Gather the surrounding universes around the Main Universe."
"Once they're concentrated there, even Abraxas won't be able to do anything."
The surrounding gods were furious but didn't dare speak.
The Five Great Gods each wore different expressions.
"Heh. Since when did you start speaking up at meetings like this?"
"Getting you to personally take action is usually anything but easy."
Eternity mocked him.
"You really do meddle too much."
"I've made a decision, and now you have a problem with that too. What exactly do you want?"
Annihilus replied coldly.
Eternity immediately fell silent.
He had merely mocked Annihilus out of habit.
He hadn't expected such a sharp response.
"You two, stop arguing."
"Annihilus, surely you know that doing this will have an enormous effect on the will of the Multiverse."
"It will greatly weaken the Multiversal Will."
Galactus also spoke in a deep voice.
"If you have a better solution, then say it."
Annihilus replied.
Galactus immediately stopped speaking.
He didn't have a better solution either.
Humans experienced birth, aging, sickness, and death.
Worlds naturally experienced destruction and rebirth as well.
The Multiverse was unimaginably vast, but even it would eventually face death.
Abraxas was the catastrophe brought upon the Multiverse by the fundamental laws governing this world.
This was an existential crisis written into the world's fate.
If the world survived it, it would continue to exist.
If it failed, the world would die and everything within it would be destroyed.
Therefore, even though they were incredibly powerful, there was still little they could do against Abraxas.
As things stood now, Annihilus's method might have been extraordinarily dangerous, but it was also their only chance.
As long as they concentrated the universes together, even Abraxas wouldn't be able to destroy the entire world!
Then they could deal with him at their leisure.
"Since that's the case, let's do it."
"By shrinking the area we need to defend, we'll naturally have enough people to protect it."
Eternity spoke helplessly.
The Five Great Gods might appear infinitely glorious, but even they had their limits.
"What a nuisance."
"Some people clearly have the power to help, yet refuse to do anything."
Several gods grumbled.
Moving the positions of entire universes wasn't an easy task, even for the Five Great Gods.
Their foundations were tied to the Main Universe.
For ordinary gods, the consequences would be even worse.
As the worlds shook and the universes fell out of balance, their powers would also be weakened.
Naturally, they were unwilling to accept that.
Unfortunately, how could they possibly stop something the Five Great Gods had already decided?
Besides, they weren't willing to simply ignore the problem with Abraxas either.
If things continued like this, they would die.
Compared to that, enduring a certain amount of danger suddenly didn't seem like such a serious problem.
The gods complained for a while.
But in the end, they all went off to work.
Soon, an astonishing sight appeared throughout the Multiverse.
Countless translucent spheres moved continuously through the Multiverse, converging toward the Main Universe.
Vast numbers of them flowed together like an immense river of stars.
Anyone who witnessed the scene would be stunned by its sheer scale.
It resembled the breathtaking spectacle of millions of animals migrating across Earth at once.
The incomparably enormous gods moved through the Multiverse.
They guided universe after universe toward the center.
For a time, the entire world was thrown into violent turmoil.
However, none of that had much to do with Karl.
He wasn't responsible for doing the hard work either.
All he had to do was maintain the safety of his universe and wait for the Celestials to make their move.
What Karl hadn't expected was that even though he wasn't looking for trouble...
Trouble came looking for him.
