Chapter 301 - Chapter 301: Infighting Among the Multiversal Gods?

Karl was living quite comfortably at Kamar-Taj.

Sometimes, Tony Stark would even invite him over to parties.

Although Tony Stark had grown old and no longer had the energy he once did, having finally settled down and left his old reputation as a playboy behind, the sheer number of beautiful women at those parties still put Karl in a very good mood.

However, out in the Multiverse, the maddened Abraxas had no such leisure.

That person was, naturally, Abraxas.

What did it feel like to have everyone in the entire Multiverse targeting you?

Even without experiencing it personally, it certainly couldn't be considered a pleasant experience.

Wherever he went, all he encountered were enemies.

And every last one of them was a multiversal-level powerhouse.

For example, right now, three gods were attacking him at once.

The Vishanti, Gaea, and Set.

All of them were ancient gods who had existed since the primordial age of Earth.

Like Karl, they were wary of being dragged into mutual destruction, so they had chosen to strike first.

By rotten luck, Abraxas had run straight into them.

However, Abraxas truly was powerful.

Even after being sealed for so many years, his tremendous power had merely been separated from him by another world and bound by chains.

Waves of destruction roamed through the surrounding worlds.

The moment an ordinary universe came into contact with them, it began to collapse and suffer damage.

At the same time, that destruction further increased Abraxas's power.

This was also one of the troublesome things about multiversal-level powerhouses.

Their very existence could place enormous pressure on the reality around them.

The mere spillover of their power could potentially destroy the surrounding universes.

Abraxas's power continued to grow.

He became increasingly unrestrained.

The three Elder Gods, however, were secretly suffering.

As Abraxas's power increased, their bodies gradually began to stiffen.

The power of destruction continuously eroded their bodies, weakening them further and further.

In a sense, the longer they fought, the less confidence they had.

"Damn it! When exactly are the Five Great Gods coming to reinforce us?"

"Didn't they say their support would arrive instantly?"

"Why haven't they come after all this time?"

Set couldn't help complaining.

"Who knows?"

"Maybe something delayed them."

The Vishanti spoke.

"What could possibly be more important than dealing with Abraxas?"

"I think those bastards simply don't want to take action."

"We might as well just let this universe be destroyed."

Set spoke through clenched teeth.

He had never been much of a righteous god in the first place.

He had only come to help because of Gaea.

And he wasn't stupid.

However, he hadn't expected the Five Great Gods, who had promised to come, to take so long to arrive.

Naturally, Set was filled with resentment.

"Damn it."

"Those damned Five Great Gods!"

Set sensed the tremendous destructive power surrounding them, and fear rose in his heart.

The other two Elder Gods weren't doing much better.

The Five Great Gods had promised to come as reinforcements.

Yet not a single one of them had appeared.

Did they really think these Elder Gods could simply be ignored?

Even if the Five Great Gods possessed an extremely exalted status, did that mean they couldn't even bother showing their faces at a time like this?

"This can't continue."

"If this keeps up, he'll definitely defeat us one by one."

"His destructive power is too overwhelming."

Gaea spoke.

Abraxas represented the destruction of this world.

It could be said that he stood in opposition to everything that existed.

His power also exerted tremendous suppression over everything within the Multiverse.

Being invaded by this kind of power was anything but pleasant.

Seeing the three Elder Gods gradually being suppressed, Abraxas let out a wild laugh.

"Hahaha!"

"You three are destined to die today!"

"The Multiverse is destined to perish!"

"Die! This is destruction beyond your comprehension!"

Abraxas laughed wildly like a madman who had just escaped from an asylum.

"You lunatic! If the Multiverse is destroyed, you'll die too!"

Set gritted his teeth as he spoke.

"Hahaha! Death is merely another destination."

Abraxas's face was filled with madness.

"You're completely insane!"

Set cursed fiercely and unleashed powerful magic.

However, Abraxas's power didn't weaken.

If anything, it became even stronger.

Terrifying destructive power directly invaded everything around them.

Whether it was magic or Gaea's all-encompassing divine power, everything was destroyed by the Law of Destruction.

Only endless gray waves remained around them.

Abraxas didn't use any particularly complicated techniques.

He relied solely on his seemingly endless cosmic power and the Law of Destruction.

He was practically equivalent to the source of destruction itself.

Endless waves of destruction surged around him.

Every attack launched by the three Elder Gods was destroyed.

It could be said that if this continued for a while longer, all three Elder Gods might be killed.

However, the Vishanti and Gaea remained exceptionally resolute.

Abraxas had originally been incomparably arrogant, his killing intent raging.

But suddenly, his expression changed, as though he had received some kind of information.

"Hmph."

"I'll let the three of you go for today."

"But one day, I'll crush every last one of you in my palm!"

A wave of destructive power flashed through Abraxas's body.

The next moment, he vanished completely.

"Law-Based Teleportation!"

"Damn these abstract entities."

Set couldn't help cursing again.

"Set, do you have a problem with us?"

A voice suddenly rang out.

When Set saw who had arrived, his pupils contracted.

In the end, he merely snorted and said nothing more.

Eternity was simply not someone he could afford to provoke.

"Eternity, why did you take so long to get here?"

"You Five Great Gods didn't keep your promise."

Gaea also spoke with an extremely ugly expression.

They had already reached an agreement beforehand.

They would be responsible for holding their positions, while the other five gods would provide reinforcements.

Among the Five Great Gods, four were abstract entities.

Not only did they possess tremendous authority, they also wielded terrifying power.

They could descend upon virtually any location in the Multiverse at will.

That was also how Abraxas had escaped just now.

As long as the principles they embodied existed in a place, they could instantly travel there.

That was precisely why the support role had been assigned to them.

No one had expected them to be this slow in providing reinforcements.

Eternity's expression was somewhat awkward.

"We were tied up by something."

"This won't happen again."

He gave a stiff explanation.

Without caring about how the Elder Gods felt about it, he continued.

"We have to catch up with him."

"Abraxas will cause enormous destruction throughout this world."

Eternity spoke.

"What's the point of saying that now?"

"He's already gone. We don't have the slightest idea what corner of the Multiverse he's hiding in."

"Do you really think we can find him now?"

Even Gaea, who had always possessed the best temper among them, couldn't stop herself from saying something.

Eternity was indeed rather embarrassed.

After all, he had been the one to arrive late.

No one knew what had gotten into that lunatic that day, starting an internal fight at such a critical moment and causing the delay.

Otherwise, Eternity wouldn't have arrived so late.

If something serious really happened because of this, it would undoubtedly become a major problem.

Just thinking about it gave Eternity a headache.
