Karl had not expected the Dark Celestials to be so closely connected.
After he killed too many of them at once, they had clearly activated some kind of summoning effect.
In a single instant, nearly a thousand powerful Dark Celestials arrived.
Karl even suspected that every Dark Celestial in the Main Universe had gathered here.
Their enormous figures stood silently in space, cold and motionless, resembling a range of forbidding mountain peaks.
"This really did bring the entire swarm down on me."
"I killed a few, and an entire army showed up."
Karl shook his head.
Although he did not know why they had yet to attack, he understood that once they did, the resulting strike would undoubtedly be cataclysmic.
Once their powers combined, the resulting might would be beyond measure.
There were simply too many of them!
Karl shook his head again.
Powerful magical energy flowed through his body.
His will underwent a transformation.
Under the control of his will, his powerful fundamental essence began to change.
The surrounding flow of time started to distort.
The surrounding space began to separate from reality.
Karl unleashed an incomparably terrifying combination of temporal and spatial power.
His understanding of fundamental essence and the Laws had reached its absolute limit.
In an instant, the entire Solar System changed beneath the influence of his power.
Karl directly severed time.
He cut this region out of the current segment of time, isolating the surrounding space from the normal flow of the River of Time.
There was no past.
There was no future.
Nothing they did here would affect the outside world.
If they truly forced Karl into a corner, he could simply destroy the entire region and trap them within endless time-space turbulence.
Aside from Karl himself, none of these Celestials would be capable of escaping.
The Dark Celestials also realized that something was wrong.
They keenly sensed that the surrounding time and space had changed.
Unfortunately for them, they were not particularly proficient in either field.
Not every powerful being specialized in the Laws of Time and Space.
Most powerhouses focused on a single path.
Because of their strength, they might have some understanding of time and space, but compared to someone like Karl, who had mastered both Laws, that limited knowledge amounted to almost nothing.
A vast ocean of black mist appeared, attempting to break through the temporal and spatial isolation Karl had established around them.
However, the ocean-like power dissolved the moment it touched the severed boundary.
That terrifying energy was directly redirected into the River of Time.
It was swallowed by the ancient river without producing even the slightest resistance.
Karl had chosen his method carefully.
He did not directly collide with the incomparably terrifying power that was sufficient to destroy half the Multiverse.
Instead, he relied on his profound understanding of the Laws to redirect the Dark Celestials' immense power into the empty void and the River of Time.
Faced with the River of Time and the endless void, even the First Firmament would be unable to withstand those overwhelming currents.
Karl was taking advantage of his superior understanding of the Laws to overwhelm the Dark Celestials.
"Let's see whether you can withstand the power of time."
"Do you think having superior numbers makes you invincible?"
Karl sneered and waved his hand.
The terrifying temporal boundary split open, forming an enormous rift.
Violent Time Turbulence erupted from it.
Everything in the surrounding area became distorted.
Time descended into complete chaos.
The past, the present, and causality continuously shifted.
At one moment, the region displayed a barren landscape from the primordial past.
A moment later, it became a lifeless wasteland from the distant future.
Even the nearby Earth was affected to a certain degree.
Prehistoric creatures briefly appeared in the modern world, while technology from the distant future flickered into existence before vanishing again.
Earth had only been affected by the edges of the phenomenon.
The Dark Celestials at its center suffered far more severely.
These Celestials were not members of the ancient generation that had survived since the distant past.
They were newly created beings produced by the First Firmament.
This created a serious problem.
They had a future, but no past!
Under the surging, distorted Time Turbulence, their bodies alternated between existence and nonexistence.
Their power constantly changed beneath the raging temporal currents.
At one moment, their strength existed.
In the next, it was instantly annihilated.
They struggled like drowning beings, yet they were completely powerless.
Within the constantly shifting Time Turbulence, the Dark Celestials could not activate their most powerful Energy Link.
Different Dark Celestials were being cast into different periods of time.
Their connections could no longer remain on the same frequency.
The Dark Celestials had no means of resisting this terrifying power.
There were only two methods of countering an attack like this.
The first was to possess an equally powerful understanding of the Law of Time and confront it directly.
The second was to possess such overwhelmingly superior strength that technique became meaningless.
Karl was already considerably stronger than each of these Dark Celestials, and he had also mastered the powerful Law of Time.
They were completely incapable of resisting him.
They drifted helplessly within the Time Turbulence.
Some of the Dark Celestials were directly annihilated.
Whenever time forced them back to a point before their creation, their power disappeared.
Without that power, they could not withstand the terrifying forces of the universe around them.
However, this attack also placed a considerable burden on Karl.
He was directly drawing temporal power from the River of Time.
Doing so placed immense pressure on him.
Furthermore, the consequences were terrifying.
Even though Karl had separated this region from the surrounding space, the flow of time within it would be permanently altered.
It would probably require a long period to gradually repair itself.
Methods like this were forbidden within the Multiverse.
Karl would likely have to face the judgment of the "Five Great Gods" afterward.
At the moment, however, he could not concern himself with that.
The raging Time Turbulence continued to surge.
It resembled merciless waves upon a boundless ocean.
Everything caught within those waves would be crushed by their terrifying power.
The Dark Celestials were no exception.
Before the overwhelming power of time, even they could not resist.
Some were reduced to dust.
Some rapidly decayed.
Others lost all their power beneath the effects of time and died in the depths of space.
The surrounding region had become an enormous killing field.
Everything within it was annihilated by the terrifying temporal force.
Only a small number of exceptionally powerful Dark Celestials managed to survive.
As time gradually passed, the temporal fluctuations slowly began to subside.
The shifts decreased from tens of thousands of years and hundreds of millions of years to minor fluctuations of only several days or months.
Fluctuations of that magnitude could no longer affect Karl.
However, almost none of the thousands of ruthless Dark Celestials remained.
More precisely, only five survived.
The temporal isolation slowly disappeared.
At that moment, the entire world was stunned.
