Chapter 48 - Chapter 48 – Star of Gluttony

Jhonathan's speed shifted again.

It wasn't just fast anymore.

It became familiar.

Like something he had already fought before.

Like Chronus.

The air itself bent around his movement as he stepped forward, twin daggers trailing light behind him.

One pull of his blade—

and the remaining assassins and flesh monsters collapsed instantly.

Not slashed.

Not exploded.

Just… removed from motion.

Aaron stood at the center of the gym ruins, surrounded by drained energy signatures of hundreds of victims.

His body absorbed everything continuously.

Mana.

Strength.

Stamina.

Even intent.

He smiled calmly.

"You're too late."

Jhonathan attacked anyway.

Every strike came faster than thought.

But Aaron didn't just dodge—

he predicted.

Each movement Jhonathan made was intercepted before it even finished forming.

Like the future itself was being consumed.

Aaron stepped forward once.

Then—

he struck.

A clean boxing form.

Perfect posture.

Controlled breathing.

A single punch landed on Jhonathan's armored chest.

CRACK.

Even Jhonathan's unbreakable armor dented.

The impact echoed across the entire gymnasium like a bell of doom.

Jhonathan staggered back.

For the first time in a long while—

he couldn't immediately overpower someone.

Aaron's eyes narrowed.

"You can't defeat me."

"I've already eaten the outcome."

Suddenly—

Aaron moved again.

This time faster.

He grabbed Jhonathan mid-motion and slammed him into the ground, locking his movement completely.

Everything Jhonathan tried—

countered.

Blocked.

Absorbed.

Nullified.

Jhonathan exhaled slowly.

Then planted his blade into the floor.

"Enough."

BOOOOM.

A shockwave erupted across the entire gymnasium.

The ground split apart violently.

A 500-ton seismic force rippled outward, sending debris flying and forcing even Aaron to lose balance for a split second.

That was all Jhonathan needed.

He vanished.

Reappeared behind Aaron.

One swing.

Clean.

Final.

Aaron stopped moving.

The energy around him faded instantly.

His body slowly collapsed into light.

A star began forming where he stood.

Before disappearing completely, he smiled softly.

"…So that's it."

"I see him now… the God of Gluttony…"

Then he turned into a star.

Silence filled the gymnasium.

Then—

cheering erupted.

Students.

Teachers.

Even survivors of the earlier chaos.

Everyone looked at Jhonathan like he was something beyond human now.

A savior.

A monster that protects.

But far away—

in a hidden surveillance room—

Archelle watched everything through broken monitors.

She slowly picked up a shattered fragment of a weapon beside her.

Something ancient.

Something divine.

She smiled.

Then slammed it into the screen.

CRACK.

"YOU THINK THIS ENDS HERE?!"

Her voice echoed through the destroyed monitors.

"I AM THE GOD OF GLUTTONY, BITCH."
