Chapter 34 - CHAPTER 34:ZEX

The shifting topography of the Isle of Trials stood as a canvas of constant devastation. Across sectors separated by miles of ruined terrain, the tournament's elite participants pushed their combat frameworks to absolute breaking points, turning tactical skirmishes into reality-bending clashes of power. Every type of attack—ranging from elemental manifestations to dark-type and time-type arts—collided in a symphony of raw destructive energy.

SECTOR 6: MARK VS. ZEX — THE SWARM AND THE ABYSS

Deep within the industrial ruins of Sector 6, the air crackled with high-frequency static. Mark, the cybernetic strategist of Team Thunder, stood his ground as Zex lunged forward with blinding speed. Zex's hand materialized a razor-sharp, light-refracting blade, and with a single fluid motion, he slashed straight through Mark's outer tactical armor, leaving a clean, glowing gash across the chassis.

Mark didn't flinch. His internal HUD whirred, processing the structural damage parameters in milliseconds. With a flick of his wrist, Mark deployed a high-speed hovering Mechanical Drone that instantly opened fire, raining rapid-burst laser suppression grids directly at Zex.

Zex moved like a ghost, twisting through the crimson laser paths with effortless agility.

"Is that all your hardware can do?" Zex mocked, stepping cleanly through the crossfire.

"Negative," Mark replied coldly.

With a sweeping gesture of his arms, Mark activated his secondary deployment protocol. From hidden pockets in the terrain and overhead micro-pods, an astronomical swarm of 10¹⁰² drones flooded the airspace above Sector 6. It was a terrifying wave of metal—some drones equipped with high-intensity thermal lasers, others discharging volatile plasma fires, toxic neutralization poisons, paralyzing stun rounds, and high-pressure water jet cutters capable of slicing through raw bedrock.

Yet, Zex proved nearly impossible to pin down. Utilizing a high-tier Dark-Type art, Zex dissolved into an array of shifting shadow clones, weaving through the endless torrent of projectiles without taking a single scratch.

Mark's optic visor rapidly cycled through data streams. Thermal signatures and kinetic tracking indicate multiple decoys. Locating primary target frequency...

Isolating the core signature using a specialized long-range frequency scanner, Mark spun on his heel, locking his heavy shoulder cannons onto Zex's coordinates. He fired an Ultra-Powerful Canonical Blast infused with Normal-Type Sakti.

The beam tore through the atmosphere with enough kinetic weight to level a mountain. At the last microsecond, Zex twisted his frame, barely dodging the core of the blast as it scorched the earth behind him. Frustrated, Zex channeled a high-tier abyss art: Infinite Death Slashes. A sweeping wave of black, razor-sharp void energy cut across the canyon, tearing through Mark's entire drone swarm in a single stroke and reducing thousands of machines to floating scrap.

Zex's eyes flashed with a temporal hue as he activated Future Sight (+10 Seconds). Pre-computing Mark's defensive fallback vectors, Zex unlocked a forbidden technique: The Curse of Cruelty.

Instantly, a horrifying wave of dark, malevolent pressure washed over the sector. Zex's physical stats, speed metrics, and Sakti reserves multiplied exponentially, fueled by the dark pact of the technique.

Mark's prediction algorithms scrambled as Zex vanished from sight. Anticipating the vector, Mark deployed his giant heavy-artillery drone, unleashing a massive Hyper Beam right down the central corridor.

Before the beam could hit, Zex activated the advanced evolution of his dark art: Curse of Cruelty: Transformation of Hellish Cruelness of Consequences.

Zex's physical form distorted, violently transforming into a towering, mythological apex predator. Radiating an intense, hellfire thermal aura, the beast charged forward. Its intense heat completely melted Mark's remaining armor plating and internal drone frames. Mark's high-performance thermal cooling systems threw critical error warnings, rendered entirely useless against the hellish flames.

As the beast towered over him, Zex briefly manifested Bijoyi Abha to stabilize his transformation.

Mark's optic sensors widened in shock. Bijoyi Abha? Only Freak has ever displayed that signature energy profile!

In that instant, Mark deduced the tactical reality: Zex had formed a direct dark contract with a higher-dimensional entity known as the Judge of Hell, granting him access to Bijoyi Abha. Realizing his hardware was severely compromised and victory parameters were negative, Mark executed a calculated tactical retreat, utilizing emergency thrusters to rocket out of the sector just before the hellfire consumed his remaining circuits.

SECTOR 6 TO THE CORE: ZEX VS. FREAK

Unwilling to let up his momentum, Zex tracked residual energy signatures across the Isle of Trials until he located Freak. Landing heavily in front of him, Zex prepared to strike.

Freak didn't flinch. With absolute calm authority, Freak raised a single hand, instantly halting Zex's momentum with a crushing wave of void pressure that pinned the transformed beast to the earth.

Spitting dark fire, Zex summoned a cursed, jagged blade known as the Sword of Hell's Punishment, unleashing a devastating abyss art: Divine Cruelty of Hellish Slashes.

Freak's eyes glowed with an ancient intensity. Activating an ultra-rare technique known as Future Sight Eyes, Freak entered his Time Sight form, granting him absolute temporal clairvoyance. Because this ancient technique carried a severe restriction requiring ten thousand days to reset, Freak treated every microsecond with absolute precision.

Seeing Zex's slash three full seconds before it materialized in physical space, Freak sidestepped effortlessly, letting the blade slice through empty air.

Before Zex could recover his footing, Freak flicked his wrist, casting a high-speed Psycho Cut directly into Zex's neural network. The mental shockwave dealt massive psychic damage, throwing Zex backward.

Though Zex attempted to regenerate using the dark energy of his pact, Freak remained entirely calm, calculated, and untouchable, systematically dismantling Zex's aggressive onslaught with surgical efficiency.

SECTOR 1: THUNDER VS. RIBER — THE GALAXY-SIZED BEAST

Back on the rugged northern cliffs of Sector 1, the earth was torn to pieces. Riber, the Creature Tamer, dragged himself up from the dirt, wiping a streak of dust from his brow. Biting his thumbed glove, he drew a glowing restoration rune in the air and summoned the Gracious Deer, an ethereal creature radiating soft green restorative light that completely healed Riber's torn muscle fibers.

Riber stood tall, looking across the electrified crater at Prince Thunder. A respectful, dangerous grin spread across his face.

"Prince Thunder, you're really something," Riber said, his voice carrying over the whistling mountain wind. "To push me this far... Now I have to summon it!"

Riber thrust his spear deep into the bedrock, chanting an ancient tamer's incantation. The sky above Sector 1 suddenly fractured. Reality itself seemed to tear open as a massive, incomprehensible cosmic rift formed in the upper atmosphere.

Emerging slowly from the rift was Riber's ultimate, legendary entity: The Lumine Spacialistic Spatial Spinosaurus.

The creature's scale-covered snout broke through the clouds, but as its full body descended into the physical plane, the sheer scale left everyone breathless. It was literally the size of an entire galaxy—its cosmic tail brushing against distant star clusters while its razor-sharp jaws hovered over the Isle of Trials like a constellation of terror.

Without missing a beat, the galaxy-sized behemoth opened its colossal maw and unleashed its signature move: The Lumine Spacialistic Spatial Cutter.

A beam of pure, galaxy-folding spatial energy descended from the heavens, piercing straight through Thunder's high-voltage electrical defense barriers with terrifying ease. The shockwave narrowly missed Thunder, carving an endless abyss into the crust of the island.

Thunder leaped backward, landing on a shattered pillar with his heart pounding, staring up at the titanic cosmic beast looming overhead. He let out a sharp breath, wiping a bead of sweat from his forehead.

"Phew! That was way too close!" Thunder muttered to himself, his blue eyes narrowing as he gripped his plasma-charged fists. "I need to take this much more seriously... and I still have no idea how many more insane creatures this guy has in his arsenal!"
