Danny-1 and Sidney were flying around the town, using their town sense power to catch minor ghosts and spirits with the thermos. Sidney randomly changes from his ghostly form to his human form as they did so with glee. Danny-1 chuckles at his ghost friend's antics.

"You really like changing forms, don't you?" Danny-1 asked the green ghost. They were taking a break for a minute from their patrol.

"Don't you? I really feel human again." Sidney said as he flew in a loop de loop.

"I haven't really thought of that. Since I'm a 'baby ghostie' as Johnny put it." Danny-1 told Sidney. "Speaking of Johnny, what do you think about me backing them?" He asked his first ghost friend.

Sidney stopped flying in circles to think about it. "I wouldn't mind. Johnny and Kitty are some of the few ghosts and spirits that treated me with some modicum of respect before you backed me. I really would call them friends. If you want my permission, you have it." He told the half ghost boy.

"Thanks. I didn't know the importance of backing multiple people. Do you think you could back someone?" Danny-1 asked.

"I don't know. I haven't heard of a backed ghost backing another ghost, but I also haven't heard of a ghost with two cores, so who knows." Sidney said. "What should we look for now?" He asked.

"Let's look for some ghost or spirit that needs our help. That way we can grow a bit of our reputation in the Realms." Danny-1 said as the two ghost boys closed their eyes and focused on the parameters.

"I'm not picking anything up with those parameters." Sidney said to the half ghost boy. "How about you?"
-
"Nothing. How about we stop a human crime to raise our reputation with the citizens?" Danny-1 asked. "It'll have to be quick though, I have to prepare for the dinner party with Kim soon."

"That works for me." Sidney said as both ghost boys closed their eyes and focused on the new parameters.

"I have a car chase near here. What do you have?" Danny-1 asked.
-
"I have a building on fire in the factory district." Sidney said. "We should probably get that done first." He said.

"Yeah, that could result in a lot of casualties." Danny-1 said as they started flying off to the factory district.

Danny-1 and Sidney made it before the fire department and heard screams in the building. There was a lot of smoke leaving the windows along with flames.

"I'll get the bottom half floors, you get the top half." Sidney told the halfa.

"On it." Danny-1 agreed with the plan. "After that, I'll use my ice powers." He said as they raced to their respective floors to rescue the civilians.
Danny-1's sense power told him that there were ten people on the top floor, and he decided to try something. Danny-1 used his town sense power alongside his telekinesis to grab on to the people and spread his aura through them to make them intangible and pull them out of the building.
After putting the people down on the ground Danny-1 did the same thing with the next couple floors. He had to stop on the fourth floor when he sensed that some people were trapped under debris and Danny-1 went into the building to rescue them.
Danny-1 got in the smoke filled building to find the people under the debris to have it impaled in their limbs. They cried out in pain and for help. Danny didn't know what to do that wouldn't aggravate their wounds, so he levitated the debris along with the people under them and used his aura to make them all intangible as he flew them out of the building.
When Danny-1 got outside, the fire department made it, and Danny-1 flew people with debris in their limbs to them. When he landed, the firemen surrounded them. "They need medical treatment and I didn't know what to do that wouldn't aggravate their wounds." Danny-1 told the firemen. "Please help them." He said as he flew back to the burning building.
Danny-1 resumed his previous technique of pulling people out of the building with telekinesis. As he was doing this, he was wondering what was taking Sidney so long. Danny-1 didn't see any new bodies in the group of victims while he was pulling people out of the building.
Danny-1 used his sense power to find Sidney and found him fighting someone. 'Need any help with the fight?' Danny-1 asked through the mental link he shared with Sidney.

'No, get the victims out, this is just a human. A superhuman, but a human.' Sidney said through the link.

'Got it. If the fight continues after I get them all out, I'm joining.' Danny-1 told him through the link, and he got a mental nod from Sidney at that.
Danny-1 resumed his purpose of getting the people out of the building, the firemen were starting to spray the building with water at this point. Danny-1 appreciated the help as he got to the lower floors. Now that Danny-1 was lower to the ground, he saw that people had their phones out, probably recording him as he rescued the people in the building. He didn't understand why they were doing that now of all times, but he couldn't stop them now.
As Danny got the last of the people out of the building he raced in to help Sidney with his fight with the superhuman, who probably started the fire if Danny-1 had to guess, as he was still fighting the person. The person had fire powers, obviously, and Sidney was dodging their attacks instead of letting them pass through him.
'Were you just having fun while I was getting the victims out?' Danny-1 scolded the green ghost. 'Either way, let's get them out of here so I can ice this place.' He said through the mental link he shared with Sidney. Sidney nodded and the two ghost boys lunged at the arsonist and dragged him out of the building.
"Do you have him?" Danny-1 asked Sidney, who nodded. Danny-1 flew above the building and blasted it with his ice energy. After Danny-1 was done, the entire building was like a glacier with the water from the firemen's firehose branching off from it.
After Danny-1 did that, the arsonist broke out of Sidney's grip and tried to blast him with fire again. Danny-1 intercepted the fire with his ice and froze the arsonist where he stood. "I just froze a whole building, and you thought you could burn my friend. Tsk Tsk. I don't think so." Danny-1 said as he flew back down to the ground

"You think this ice can stop me? I'm The Kelvin Furnace. I burn hotter than anyone else." At this the arsonist, going by Kelvin Furnace, glowed in his ice prison. Nothing happened.

"Well, Kelvin Furnace, I'm Phantom, I freeze colder than anyone else." Danny told the arsonist. "Nothing can melt my ice. Speaking of." Danny-1 waved his hand and the building's ice dispersed and there stood a scorched building in its wake. "Nothing except me, anyway." He added to what he said before.
At this point the firemen surrounded Danny-1, Sidney, and Kelvin. "This guy started the fire. He's a superhuman. I don't know if you have a protocol for this kind of thing, do you?" Danny-1 asked what looked like the leader of the firemen there.

"We do, we have dealt with this specific person's work before. Thank you Phantom, for saving everyone." The leader of the firemen present said to the half ghost boy. "I called the police telling them that it was Kelvin when we got here. They should be here shortly. Would you mind staying here to release him when they do?" He asked.

"I kinda have to. As I told Kelvin, only I can get rid of my ice." Danny-1 told the leader of the firemen present. "But I do hope they get here soon, I have plans that I need to prepare for." He said, looking at his phone to see a text from his father about the dinner party.

As Danny-1 said that, a police cruiser pulled up. "That's actually them now." The leader said as he waved them down.

"I will not be held in prison." Kelvin yelled as he struggled in his frozen prison.

"Yes you will, Kelvin." Said the police woman as she walked up to the group of superhumans and firemen. She put a collar around his neck, which lit up and beeped. "And now you don't have access to your powers." She said to the arsonist before turning to the ghost boys. "Either of you responsible for freezing Kelvin?" She asked.

"I am. Phantom, pleasure to meet you, officer?" Danny-1 held out his hand to the officer to learn her name.

"Detective, Detective Ortez. Pleased to meet you." The police woman, Detective Ortez, took Danny-1's hand and shook it. "Can you release him now?" She asked as she released his hand.

"Oh yeah." Danny-1 waved his hand and the ice disappeared from Kelvin. Detective Ortez didn't flinch, but the firemen did. "There, now if there's nothing else. I have to go." Danny-1 said as he flew away with Sidney. He flew too fast to hear anything from the Detective at all.

When they were far enough from the scene they stopped and Danny-1 opened a portal for Sidney. "That will take you to your realm. I need to help set up for the dinner party." Danny-1 said to the green ghost.

"Okay, just remember to think about backing Johnny and Kitty. They could be really good allies to have. Even if you don't get their powers." Sidney said to the half ghost boy.

"I'll keep it in mind. Now go. My clone is already at my house, so I just need to disperse this body and I'll already be there." Danny-1 said to Sidney as the green ghost flew through the portal. Danny-1 closed it, closed his eyes and dispersed his body.

Danny-2, Kim, Jim, Tim, and Ron arrived at the Possible residence. They walked the whole time, the twins complaining about not riding Scylla and Charybdis on their way home.

"Hey Ron, I never asked, but who were the other ghosts with you?" Danny-2 asked, smirking at the little inside joke of his own as he held on to Cujo.

"They were Johnny and Kitty. They were looking for their pet with Phantom and Sidney when I met them." Ron said to the half ghost clone boy, knowing that he couldn't let the twins know about Danny-2's power.

"Do you think they'll join Phantom and Sidney in being heroes?" Jim asked.
-
"Yeah, I liked Johnny's motorcycle, especially in that it could fly." Tim said. "Why didn't he fly it next to Charybdis?" He asked the group.

"Probably because I'm faster than his bike, or he wanted to talk to Phantom and Sidney. Either is applicable." Charybdis said to the red twin.

"I guess that makes sense. But if you were faster, then how did he speed ahead of you to get to Axiom before us?" Tim asked the golden ectopi.

"Because we weren't going straight to Axiom, plus Phantom used his telekinesis to pull Johnny's bike." Charybdis glared at the red twin.

"Yeah, okay. Back to the whole 'joining Phantom and Sidney' thing. They might. I heard them talking about Phantom backing the two of them like he did Sidney and Phantom said he would consider it." Ron explained

"Really, did they explain what it was about?" Danny-2 asked Ron.
-
"I wasn't really paying much attention to the conversation, but I remember Phantom being concerned about consent and all that." Ron said as he scratched his head, thinking hard on the previous conversation. "I think he backed Sidney without informed consent on his part. I don't know." He said to the group.

Just then there was a knock on the door. Kim went to answer it, and it was a delivery person holding a small box. Kim signed for the box and brought it inside. She then called Wade on her Kimmunicator, which still looked different than normal with Creos inside of it. "Wade, what did you send me?" She asked.

"I sent you a communicator to give to Danny so he could scan any ghost or spirit and get their ecto-signature." Wade answered his red headed friend. "I also sent you a backup Kimmunicator in case your other one gets too much." He said to Kim.

"Wade, what do you mean by too much?" Jim asked the computer kid.
-
"Yeah, what's wrong with her new communicator? It looks cool." Tim said.

"You'll find out at the dinner party tonight." Kim said quickly, muffling any sound coming from her communicator that wasn't Wade.

"You're gonna dump something on the family at a friend's dinner party?" Jim asked.

"Rude much?" Tim asked.
-
"I gave her permission." Danny-2 said to the twins. "It's important and my fault anyway." He said to the confusion of the twins. Danny-2's phone went off and he went out of the room to answer it, letting Cujo down to play with the group. "Hey Jazz, what is it?" He asked.

"You need to come home to help set up for the party tonight." Jazz told the half dead clone boy. "Dad already sent you a message for it, but you didn't answer it." She said, sounding a little disappointed.

Danny-2 checked his phone but didn't see any texts. "Maybe messages go to a different clone, because I didn't receive it. I'll be on my way, completely." Danny-2 said to his sister.

"Just hurry, I don't want to do all this by myself." Jazz said as she hung up the phone.

Danny-2 went back into the room with the others. "I need to go home to prepare for the dinner party tonight. I'll be seeing you later." Danny-2 said as Cujo hopped into one of his arms as he went towards the door, but Kim stopped him, by grabbing his unoccupied wrist.

"Don't forget about your communicator." Kim handed Danny-2 a communicator, putting it into his hand. "Be careful on your way home, but scan as many spirit animals as you can." She said as she looked deeply into his eyes.

"Oh, oh. Sure, I can do that." Danny-2 blushed as Kim let go of his hand and he put the communicator into his pocket. 'What was that about?' Danny-2 thought to himself as he left the Possible residence.

Danny groaned as an influx of memories entered his mind as he stood in front of the door to his house. 'I still don't know what that was about with Kim. Does she like me? Do I like her? Bad time to think of that, brain.' Danny thought to himself as he walked into his house and let Cujo down so he could run around.

"Dann-o! What took you so long?" Jack asked as he was carrying some boxes from the attic.
-
"Huh, oh nothing." Danny said absentmindedly. Danny took some of the boxes from his father's arms, to his father's confused face.

"Danny!" Jack yelled. That seemed to snap Danny from his thought process. "What's up with you?" Jack asked.
-
"Nothing, just thinking about something. I'll get right to work on setting up whatever is in these boxes." Danny told his father, not wanting to mention his crush on the global superhero.

"Well, can you answer my previous question for me?" Jack asked his half dead son.
-
Danny thought for a moment but couldn't remember what his question was. "Could you repeat the question?" Danny asked his large father.

"Of course. I asked 'What took you so long?'." Jack obliged, a knowing smile on his face.
-
"Oh, I replicated myself, so one of me was Phantom with Sidney and the other was Danny with Kim. From when you sent your message, I was pulling people from a burning building and walking the Possibles home." He told his father as he set up the table for the dinner party.

"Amazing, I still can't believe that I can't tell anyone my son is a superhero. Will there be any recordings of you doing this?" Jack asked as Maddie and Jazz came into the room.

"Recordings of what?" Jazz asked.
-
"Me pulling people out of a burning building." Danny answered automatically. "And yes, some of the victims were recording the incident. I still can't believe that they would do that, they were just in a burning building." He said as he set the table on autopilot.

"That's amazing, sweetheart. Are you sure I can't tell the Possibles about that?" Maddie asked.
-
"If things go well, no, but if it goes bad, yes." Danny said.
-
"What does that mean?" The three fully human Fentons asked in unison.
-
"Just remember that the excuse was that Kim, Ron and I were out testing an invention of Wade's and not that we were testing my speed and strength as Phantom." Danny turned as he told them and they nodded to him.

"Danny, you really need to tell us things and not just leave us confused." Jazz told her brother.
-
"Don't blame him, Jazzy-kins. He is confused, himself, just in his heart." Jack told his daughter.

Danny froze at hearing that. "What do you know?" He asked.
-
"Oh my gosh! You finally realized your crush on Kim, didn't you?" Jazz asked, putting her hands up to cover her mouth. She squealed at the realization.

"I-uh, what?" Danny stumbled over his words.
-
"Oh sweetheart, you've been crushing on Kim since you met her. Even though I knew that, you're bad at hiding your emotions about people." Maddie told her son.

"Oh. I didn't know this." Danny said as he continued to set up the table on autopilot.
-
"Ooh, you should ask her to the Homecoming dance the week after next." Jazz suggested.
-
"How would you know when the Homecoming dance is?" Jack asked his daughter.
-
"Oh, you totally should, Ann said that she always goes to dances with Ron as friends and she could go to one with a real date." Maddie said, the women ignoring Jack's question.

"I don't even know if she likes me. What if she says no and is disgusted about a dead guy liking her and not wanting to be friends with me?" Danny said as he stopped setting up the table and started to breathe slowly, Scylla and Charybdis were stroking his back and Cujo bumped his nose on Danny's legs as Danny calmed down. "I know that is an extreme reaction and Kim would be nicer in her rejection, but the sentiment might still be there."

"It's fine to think things like that, just don't let it control you." Jack said, seeing how distressed his son was. "Take the leap. I'm sure she would still be your friend if you aren't a creep about it." He said to Danny.

"Your father is right, sweetheart. As long as you are a gentleman, she won't react so badly. That's if she even rejects you in the first place." Maddie said. "Kim talked about you so much that she had her mother bring her early in the morning. That is what her mother told me that day." She said to try and help the ectopi calm her son down.

Danny shook his head. He formed a thin layer of ice on his face to cool himself off, before asking his mother. "Really? Did that really happen or did she just say that as an excuse to see you and the ectopi?"

"Both. At least, that was why she came so early in the morning." Maddie said to Danny, who chuckled.

"So, the Homecoming dance is the week after next?" Danny asked Jazz. "When will it be announced?" He asked.
-
"So you're gonna do it?" Jazz asked. "It'll be announced on Monday in the morning announcements."
-
"Yeah, I might as well get it over with, so I don't freak out over it for so long." Danny told his sister. "What's the appropriate time after the announcement to ask her out, if we want to have matching outfits?" Danny asked.

"I would say that people would start asking others out the same day or the day after." Jazz answered her little brother.

"Okay. I'll do it, let's finish setting up for the party." Danny said to his family.

"Okay, now that you have calmed down, can I ask about the ghost dog?" Jack asked and the two Fenton women looked down at the small green dog and cooed and went to pet Cujo.
-
"He's a rescue ghost dog. Axiom put down all their security dogs, and I think Cujo was the only one to become a ghost." Danny explained.
-
"That's horrible! How could they do something like that?" Jazz asked no one in particular.
-
"They probably put in a new security system and didn't need them anymore." Jack answered regardless.
-
"Still, they could have rehomed them. They didn't need to kill them." Jazz told her father. "We're keeping… What's his name?" Jazz asked Danny.

"Cujo. He was the only dog that could resist getting sucked into the thermos. Speaking of which, I need to empty it and prepare the lab to not have the twins get in there." Danny said as he summoned the thermos into his hand and made his way to the lab.

"Ooh, we can use a new invention of ours. Aranea helped us make it, so you didn't need to use Scylla or Charybdis to release the ghosts and spirits." Jack said as he followed his son. "It's like a mini portal generator. It'll send the criminals to a random part of the Infinite Realms."

"That's cool, Dad. It kinda sounds like an artifact Johnny has that allows him to make rifts between the Realms and the human world. We used it to send the Dog Master ghost to an empty space in the Realms." Danny told his father about his new friend and how he was a Champion and won the artifact by beating a Guardian's challenge. He also said that Johnny would show him where the challenge was.

"If you could get something like that, we could make an upgraded version of the thermos that can empty the thermos whenever it gets full." Jack said as they made it to the lab, passing the weapon vault. "We also need to lock the weapons vault as well, don't we?" He asked, to which Danny nodded.

"I don't think the twins would hesitate to mess with any tech they find." Danny told his father. "Better safe than sorry. Don't want another person like me running around." At that, Jack nodded, a face of terror on him.

"I should turn the portal off and lock it completely, shouldn't I?" Jack asked, a waver in his voice.
-
"Probably, where's the new invention that will send the ghosts and spirits to random parts of the Realms?" Danny asked, looking around.
-
"We haven't gotten to install it yet." Jack revealed. "I just wanted to talk to you. Are you alright?" Jack asked his half dead son.
-
"Other than the minor freak out from before? Yeah. I'm fine." Danny said confused as he had Scylla take the thermos into the portal and release them out in the Realms.

"No, I mean, are you fine mentally with everything that happened? Maybe Jazz would have been better with this? You have been non-stop for the past week without any break." Jack said, worried for his son.
-
"I mean, when you ask it like that, probably not, but it's not like we can do anything about it. I'm either my own ghost that has the power to turn alive, or I'm my own ghost possessing my own corpse. Neither is good for my mental health. Scylla and Charybdis have been a big help with calming myself down." Danny explained. "I don't really want to talk about it right before we need to act semi-normal for a dinner party. Let's just shut everything away in the lab and weapons vault and finish preparing for the party." He said as he started to use his telekinesis to clean the lab.

"Right, but please talk to Jazz about all of this. She may only be taking classes on psychology, but she is pretty good." Jack short of pleaded with his son as he went to lock down the weapons vault.
