The rendezvous point was just outside the city gates.
Carol and Theresia, who had arrived first, stared at Regulus's "escort" with extreme speechlessness.
It wasn't a single carriage. It was an entire convoy of several massive, luxurious dragon carriages, lined up perfectly along the road.
Others traveled light when heading to a warzone, but this man had practically brought his entire family.
You have to understand—after arriving at the Mathers territory, they would be directly throwing themselves into the Demi-Human War. Bringing a hundred girls with you... did he think they were going on a spring outing or a vacation?
The only reason Carol didn't scream at him on the spot was the women themselves.
The wives accompanying Regulus had stepped out to greet her and Theresia with impeccable manners and polite smiles. Carol, as a Knight, was forced to return the pleasantries respectfully.
Another reason was that she didn't want to make Regulus lose face in front of his household. No matter what, even if she couldn't get the title of a wife, she was already his woman in practice, wasn't she?
So, while a beautiful, red-haired woman named Lycoris was happily chatting with Theresia, Carol discreetly tugged at Regulus's sleeve.
She successfully pulled Regulus aside for a private word.
Unfortunately, they were not alone. A girl with glossy black hair named Ine Mitarai had followed them.
Looking at this girl, who was currently clinging tightly to Regulus's arm, Carol felt a sense of dread. The look in Ine's eyes and the mischievous smirk on her face suggested she was thinking about some terrible, indecent things.
Carol recognized that look. She had seen that exact expression and gaze many times when she was alone with Regulus... right before she was thoroughly bullied.
"What do you need me for?" Regulus asked casually.
"You should know!" Carol hissed, keeping her voice low. "About them... the place we're going next. You must have explained it to them properly, right?"
"I've already told them everything," Regulus replied. "And from my perspective—and theirs—staying by my side is much safer than staying here in the Capital without me."
"That might be true in theory. But! The place we're going is a battlefield!"
Carol gestured frantically toward the luxurious carriages. "I don't think ordinary girls can adapt to the atmosphere of war! If they go rashly, seeing the blood and the corpses, they will definitely suffer severe psychological trauma!"
However, in the next moment, Ine Mitarai's mischievous smile vanished.
Understanding Carol's concern, Ine fixed her dark eyes on the blonde Knight, her expression suddenly turning dead serious.
"Miss Carol, please don't underestimate us."
"Huh?"
"We are not those sheltered young ladies who have experienced nothing," Ine said, her voice firm and unwavering. "For us, even if we are thrown into the midst of a bloody battlefield, as long as we can be with our Master, it's no big deal."
"No! No, I didn't mean to underestimate you—" Carol stammered, taken aback by the sheer intensity of the girl's devotion.
"I know. Miss Carol is just worried about us, right? Thank you. We appreciate your concern." Ine smiled softly, a genuine look of gratitude crossing her face. "However, for us as his wives... no matter where he wants to go, we will choose to follow him. Even if the path ahead leads straight to hell, it cannot stop us."
For a moment, Carol was completely speechless.
The girl's words were absolute, and her eyes showed an almost fanatical trust in Regulus.
"I... I understand," Carol finally conceded, lowering her head.
"Good that you understand!"
Ine's serious demeanor instantly evaporated. She turned to look at Regulus, her eyes sparkling with lust.
"Master~ Were you moved by my cool words just now? If you were moved, let's play an interesting game while no one is paying attention!"
As she spoke, she slightly parted her lips and stuck out her small pink tongue, licking her lips suggestively.
Faced with this whiplash-inducing change in Ine's personality, Carol was utterly stunned. Regulus, on the other hand, just felt a mix of amusement and helplessness.
This was indeed Ine Mitarai—the super-pervert he knew so well.
"If you want to play, let's talk about it when we're back in the dragon carriage," Regulus sighed, tapping her forehead. "This is the Royal Highway; a patrol could ride by at any time."
"It's a deal! Master, you promised me!" Ine giggled, her eyes curving into crescents.
"I won't go back on my word."
"Hehehe~ In that case, let's go back quickly! It's getting late, and we must depart soon!"
Ine, still clinging to Regulus's arm, practically dragged him back toward the convoy.
Regulus paused and looked back. "Carol, do you have anything else?"
"Nothing anymore..." Carol sighed, massaging her temples.
"Since there's nothing, let's go back together." Regulus reached out and casually took Carol's hand, pulling her along.
Soon, everyone boarded the carriages, and the convoy embarked on the journey toward the Mathers territory.
But as they departed, Carol felt incredibly frustrated.
She had tried to stop it, but Theresia had insisted on sharing the primary dragon carriage with Regulus, Lycoris, and Ine. It seemed that during the time Carol was pulling Regulus aside, Theresia and Lycoris had hit it off perfectly. The two noble-mannered girls were getting along very well, sharing similar interests in flowers and tea.
Carol sat in the corner, glaring at Regulus and Ine. She stared intently at them, praying they wouldn't do anything strange with Theresia sitting right across from them.
But fate did not cooperate.
Not long after they set off, Carol noticed movement. Small, subtle actions.
She wanted to jump up and stop them. But the problem was, the active party was not Regulus! It was Ine, the girl she had just met, whose hands were currently wandering under the table toward Regulus's lap.
Carol was shocked and deeply conflicted. How do I stop the woman from harassing the man?!
Gradually, the other girls in the carriage began to notice. Even the naive Theresia paused her conversation, sensing the shift in the air.
The atmosphere in the cabin became noticeably heavy and strange.
"Ine..." Lycoris warned softly, her face already turning a shade of pink that rivaled her hair.
"Big Sister Lycoris, Master just promised me a reward!" Ine whined playfully, not stopping her hands.
"The Master promised?"
Lycoris couldn't help but look at Regulus. She wasn't expressing dissatisfaction; she just wanted to confirm if he was really allowing this in front of guests.
Noticing Regulus just smiling back at her, Lycoris knew it was true. She sighed helplessly, covering her blushing face with her sleeve. Ine wanted to fool around, and Regulus was openly enabling her.
"Big Sister, do you want to join us?" Ine teased, leaning against Regulus's shoulder. "Master really likes how you and I look when we cooperate, doesn't he?"
"Ah! Ine!!! Keep your voice down!" Lycoris squeaked, thoroughly mortified that their private bedroom activities were being referenced.
"Don't be so shy! After all, there are no outsiders here," Ine giggled, turning her predatory, lustful gaze toward the other two passengers.
"Miss Carol, Miss Theresia, you certainly don't mind, right? In fact... if you want to join, it's perfectly fine. Master will definitely be even happier with more of us."
Theresia froze, her blue eyes widening in shock.
Carol choked on her own spit, her hand instinctively grabbing the hilt of her sword.
Watching the chaos unfold, Regulus leaned back against the plush seats. He realized that Ine—this bold, shameless little pervert—might be the perfect "wingwoman."
Not only could she help him break down Theresia's defenses, but she could easily manage the internal dynamics of his massive harem.
However, he also knew that if he wanted Ine's help to conquer the Sword Saint, he would have to pay a steep "price" to satisfy her boundless appetite later.
