"Why do you keep being so nice to me when I've always treated you so badly?" Pixie paused. "Are you into toxic relationships or something?"
Jasmine threw her head back and laughed.
Pixie's brows slammed together as she glared at the other girl. "Stop laughing. I'm being serious here."
"I'm into toxic relationships," Jasmine answered the moment her laughing fit calmed down. "I'm nice to you because I like you."
"Why do you like me?"
"Because I think you're sweet."
Pixie snorted. "Or because you want something from me?"
"What could you possibly give me?" Jasmine asked, her smile not fading even for a second.
Pixie exhaled sharply. She couldn't believe her ears. That was the least question she'd ever expect anyone to ask her.
Now she felt slightly offended.
"Uh... Connection? Money? Popularity?" she said emphatically, pulling out one finger at a time. "I can go on and on."
