Chapter 50 - If that many monsters kept popping out one after another, you would think it is the master level, right? Normally.

27th Day Noon Omui Guild

I got woken up even though I was sleepy. I got dragged to the guild even though I did nothing wrong. It is an unjust verdict.

Even after I got back I still got yelled at.

This time it is so obvious and natural that I do not even need to say it, but I did nothing wrong.

So why did I get yelled at?

I earnestly appealed that just bashing monsters should not be a crime, but I got yelled at?

Because I did not hear anything about a massive monster outbreak? No one told me about a big invasion? Yeah, the goblins did not say anything either.

There is no way I could have known, right? The kobolds did not tell me either. I did not hear "We are doing a super big stampede invasion right now" or anything?

On top of that, they said "Why did you not report it immediately?" I was busy bashing them, so there is no way I could go report, right? I was extremely busy and fully occupied with bashing, you know?

That is as bad as telling the villagers who are being attacked "Come report while you are being attacked!" I mean, are the villagers supposed to go report while getting their heads bitten off by kobolds!?

Yet I still got yelled at?

They said sell the grilled fish so I just sold it, right?

I felt bad because they looked hungry so I grilled some fish for them? Well, I did make money though.

Therefore I got yelled at?

And then the class rep confiscated it!? That is ruthless. As ruthless as the poachers at Akogi Bay. It is not electric though!

First of all, they kept coming out one after another, right? There was nothing to do but keep bashing them, right? With a beat, in a maniac way, I had no choice but to keep hitting, right? If that many monsters come out dondoko dondoko you would think it is the monster master level, right? You would bash them, right? Normally? Why do they not even understand something that simple? And why am I the one getting yelled at?

"Um, Haru-kun. As the guild master, let me thank you for stopping the large monster invasion. Thank you. That number… this town would not have gotten off lightly. The adventurers and soldiers would probably have suffered heavy casualties. Honestly, you saved us… in the end."

The guild master looked strangely troubled and the conversation was not progressing, so I asked the receptionist older sister who has a light mouth, talks smoothly, and is the one who gets yelled at later. Normally when a big invasion happens and the guild and soldiers repel it, all the magic stones and weapons from the defeated monsters are bought up. Then half is distributed to the adventurers according to rank, and the rest is split between the guild and the town. The town uses that money to repair the walls, and the guild distributes it to the families of the injured and dead while covering the costs of the defense.

But this time they waited all day and no monsters came. Yeah, it was perfect. There were no prizes… there were none. I got tricked so I am the victim!

So the adventurers did not fight, but they cannot go unpaid. That makes sense. They did pay 500 ele each for the fish?

Also the town walls do not have a single scratch. Well, since nothing came it is only natural, right? Unfortunately it seems the town could not become popular with monsters.

The guild also suffered almost no damage. They did light some bonfires so that probably cost a bit?

And I am not an adventurer and was not summoned, so I get nothing. Yeah, I do not remember being called?

What is the problem?

In the end I defeated everything alone, so confiscating it is weird, but the rules say they have to confiscate it. If they confiscate it they cannot distribute anything to me, but I am the one who defeated them.

The town said they would give me a reward separately, and I already took the most expensive part. If I can just cash it in it will be a huge sum. The rest is what I gave up, and I made a lot from the grilled fish anyway, so it is fine. But the guild master is not convinced… that seems to be the issue. So I said I do not need it and told them to decide between the lord and the guild, then I escaped. The talk was too long.

As the second payment for the previous magic stones I received 100 gold coins. That is 10 million ele. Yesterday my money was confiscated but it became five times more.

They bowed their heads and said they would definitely do something about the distribution for this big invasion too, but I just received 10 million ele so I do not really need more money?

Because if the guild takes money when they cannot even pay for the previous magic stones, they will not be able to buy more magic stones again, right? I already have a ridiculous amount piled up since then and cannot cash them in.

This time they agreed to buy the magic stones as a special case. When I immediately went to the buyback counter the receptionist older sister's face twitched? Facial nerve pain?

The appraisal of the magic stones from the big invasion cannot keep up, so she is working overtime again today.

Of course I mercilessly piled a mountain of magic stones on the table. She glared at me with teary eyes so I said "You can do mine anytime. This will be another bonus. I will tell the guild master too~" and she happily took the magic stones. Yeah, for a bonus she will probably work extremely hard.

And that huge amount of clubs. Even if they are distributed they definitely cannot sell them all! Impossible. Because everyone already has several each!? I mean, if they manage to sell that many this town is seriously in trouble. The people in this town will end up equipping nearly ten clubs per person. It will be heavy club armament.

Even goblins would run away from a town like that. No doubt. It seems the day this town changes its name to Club Town is near. If it does I will run away. Yeah, that town will definitely be more dangerous than the forest!
