The heartfelt words of Krillin and the others in the video left their real-life counterparts deeply moved. Krillin reminisced, saying that when he first met Goku, he looked down on him and even played petty tricks, but it was because of Goku and Master Roshi that he grew into a qualified fighter. Yamcha agreed, noting that he had actually tried to rob Goku during their first encounter.
Tien Shinhan added that when they met at the World Martial Arts Tournament, he was still an aspiring assassin, but Goku and Master Roshi changed his path forever. Even Piccolo let out a soft huff, acknowledging that Son Goku is simply that kind of person.
It was clear that most of the Z Fighters began as Goku's enemies. However, through his immense charisma and pure heart, he turned those foes into lifelong friends. Goku's steady growth was never a solo journey; he could not have reached such heights without the help of his comrades. Duanmu Yan observed that Goku's true strength stems from his friends, suggesting he never would have become so powerful alone.
Zhang Chulan agreed, pointing out that from the very first video, the evidence was clear. He even noted that Goku's initial transformation into a Super Saiyan was triggered by Frieza's cruelty and the loss of Krillin. Without them, Goku might never have broken through his limits.
Kakashi recalled that even Vegeta's transformation into a Super Saiyan was driven by his rivalry with Goku. The prince's frustration at being left behind fueled the anger necessary to unlock his golden aura. Kurosaki Ichigo mused that comrades are vital, not just for the sake of friendship, but for providing the power to grow stronger.
Those with allies understood this bond deeply, while those who walked alone began to wonder if they should find companions of their own. Some even realized the reason for their plateaus; perhaps they lacked a rival or friend to spar with and push them further.
At the Pride Troopers Headquarters in Universe 11, Jiren muttered the word "comrades" to himself. He remembered his past—the friends he once trained with and the trust he once held. But those people had betrayed him, leading to his disdain for such bonds.
Now, his heart was shaken. He wondered if trust could truly make him stronger or if it was destined to fail him again. Toppo, noticing Jiren's internal struggle, patted his shoulder.
He noted that Jiren had always been a lone wolf, resistant to trust, but that he had now seen the raw power the trust of Universe 7 could unleash. Toppo didn't expect an immediate change, but he hoped Jiren would stop resisting the idea of relying on others.
Toppo felt that if Jiren could overcome the hurdle in his heart, he would reach a new level of power, which would ultimately benefit all of Universe 11. Jiren remained silent, his eyes fixed on the screen. He wanted to see if Son Goku could truly defeat him using nothing but the power of trust. In the video, the intense battle on the fighting stage reached its peak.
Boosted by the faith of his friends, Goku suppressed Jiren. Yet, Jiren refused to believe, roaring that admitting the power of trust would deny everything he had fought for. He claimed such bonds disappear easily and launched a desperate attack, not at Goku, but at Krillin and the spectators in the stands.
Enraged, Goku intercepted the blast, declaring that he would never forgive someone who tried to harm his comrades. With his Ki flaring, the empowered Goku completely overwhelmed Jiren, blasting him down with a massive Kamehameha. Victory seemed certain.
However, as Goku prepared the final blow, disaster struck. His body was suddenly racked by purple-black lightning as the immense burden of Perfect Ultra Instinct triggered a violent backlash. He collapsed in agony, his divine state vanishing. Whis explained that the technique had pushed Goku's physical form beyond its breaking point.
Seeing his chance, Belmod urged Jiren to eliminate the fallen Saiyan. Jiren approached the incapacitated Goku, calling him a proud warrior and stating that while he didn't intend for the match to end this way, Goku would live forever in his memories. Jiren unleashed a blast that shattered the ground beneath Goku, sending him tumbling toward the void below the stage.
Just as Goku was about to be eliminated, a beam struck him, knocking him onto a floating piece of rubble. Frieza had reappeared, having been hidden for most of the chaos. Moments later, Android 17 emerged from the dust, alive and well. The two stood side by side, ready to team up against Jiren for the fate of the multiverse.
