In the depths of the universe, Frieza sat in his hoverchair, his eyes fixed on the screen. He desperately wanted to flood the group chat with a barrage of comments to show off his newfound glory. However, he quickly remembered that Lord Beerus was watching, so he forced himself to stay quiet.
He knew all too well that annoying the God of Destruction was a death sentence. It was a pity that he had to keep this joy to himself, unable to share his triumph with the countless warriors from the myriad worlds.
"To think I achieved such results after only four months of training," Frieza murmured to himself, his voice cold and calculating. "What would happen if I pushed myself even further?" He began to ponder the possibilities.
If only four months allowed him to reach the legendary Golden Frieza form, what could he achieve with one, two, or even five years of hard work? Perhaps he could unlock a Platinum or even a Diamond Frieza transformation.
"It seems it is time for me to take training seriously," Frieza decided. In the past, he had never bothered to train because no one in the universe posed a threat to him. Majin Buu was safely sealed away, and he knew that no amount of training could bridge the gap between him and Beerus. But the world had changed.
Son Goku and Vegeta were like cheat users; their strength grew at an impossible rate, and they constantly unlocked new forms. If he remained idle, he would surely be defeated just like the version of him in the video.
He realized that even with Beerus backing him, he couldn't simply rely on the God of Destruction to solve his problems. If Son Goku and his friends came looking for trouble in the future, Frieza refused to be the one lying in the dirt. However, he didn't feel the need to rush into his training just yet. He wanted to see exactly how strong his Golden Form was in the heat of battle.
Inside the video, the scene was chaotic. As Frieza revealed his shimmering Golden Form, Krillin and the other onlookers were completely stunned. They never expected the galactic tyrant to possess a transformation that surpassed his final form. Even Vegeta looked somewhat astonished, his eyes narrowing as he sensed the massive pressure. Son Goku, however, was purely excited. For a man who lived for the thrill of a fight, a stronger opponent was the best gift he could receive.
The battle between Son Goku and Frieza began, and it was far more intense than any of their previous encounters. To everyone's shock, Super Saiyan Blue Son Goku was actually at a disadvantage! Frieza, in his Golden Form, was suppressing the Saiyan hero with overwhelming power.
The narrator's voice cut through the tension. "Do you remember what I said before? Back on Planet Namek, Frieza lost to Son Goku. At that time, I claimed that if Frieza had simply done a few push-ups on the spot, he wouldn't have lost.
Now, do you all understand why I said that? After only four months of training, Frieza reached a level where he can suppress a Super Saiyan Blue.
The magnitude of this power increase is simply unbelievable. Back then, the gap wasn't that large. A few push-ups really could have changed history."
Hearing this, the audience across the worlds finally understood. They remembered the narrator's previous comments and realized he wasn't joking. After four months, Frieza's power had increased by tens or hundreds of thousands of times. If he had even spent a few minutes training on Namek, surpassing the first Super Saiyan would have been effortless. It was truly a pity that his arrogance as the galactic emperor had held him back.
Frieza, watching the video, was stunned as well. He remembered those words clearly and now had the proof. His growth rate was so high that he really could have won with minimal effort. "Damn it," he hissed. If his past self had known this, he would have started doing push-ups right there in front of the dying Namekians. But he was glad to know this now. He would never let the Namek incident repeat itself. He wouldn't just do push-ups; he would train until Son Goku and Vegeta could never catch up to him.
As he watched the video continue, Frieza grew more excited. It looked like he was winning! As long as Beerus didn't step in, victory was his. He watched as his video self landed fierce attacks, leaving Son Goku covered in wounds. During the fight, the video version of Frieza noticed Beerus nearby eating a sundae and felt a momentary surge of fear. Even in his Golden Form, he didn't dare to be disrespectful.
However, he felt a wave of relief when Beerus stated he would not intervene. With that assurance, Frieza launched another assault. But then, the tide began to turn. Frieza's power started to drop. He hadn't mastered the endurance of the Golden Form because he was in too much of a hurry for revenge. He had come to Earth before his body was fully used to the energy drain.
Son Goku knocked Frieza to the ground and pointed out the flaw. Frieza hadn't lost because he lacked power, but because he lacked stamina. However, while lecturing Frieza, Son Goku made a classic mistake: he let his guard down and reverted to his normal state. This gave Frieza's hidden henchman the perfect chance.
The henchman fired a beam from a ring Frieza had given him, piercing right through Son Goku's chest. Seeing the Saiyan fall, Frieza stood up and stepped on him, mocking him for being so naive. But just as Frieza was about to deliver the final blow, a figure suddenly appeared and kicked him away, saving Son Goku. That figure was none other than Vegeta, standing tall and ready to fight.
