The Demon Path CultivatorIn the Outer Sect, many people were present. The Main Character (MC) thought to himself, "Why not find a quiet place to cultivate?" Just then, a "ding" notification arrived from the System: "Host, you have received a mission. A specific location has been found where you can cultivate in peace."
The MC replied, "System, show me where this place is." After the System provided the coordinates, the MC reached the location. Upon arrival, he noticed a dense amount of Demonic Energy lingering there. Without wasting time, he began his martial arts training and cultivation.
Many days later, the Sect Leader ordered all disciples to gather. Everyone was being assigned individual missions. The Great Elder, who appeared in the last chapter, was searching for the MC. A nearby Elder asked, "Are you looking for him?" The Great Elder replied, "Yes, I am looking for that boy (MC)." The other Elder remarked, "He's probably off somewhere cultivating in secret again."
The scene shifts to the MC finishing his cultivation session. He receives a message: "The Sect Leader has summoned everyone." When the MC arrived at the gathering, an Elder pointed him out: "Great Elder, there is the one you were looking for." The Great Elder sighed in relief, "Finally, you've shown up."
Suddenly, the Sect Leader shouted, "Listen up! All students present here are being assigned a mission. You must enter the Demonic Jungle, hunt down demonic beasts, and bring back their Demon Cores. Those who fail will be punished!"
The students were terrified at the mention of the Demonic Jungle, but the MC stood there, perfectly chill, as if he feared nothing.
The scene transitions to the Demonic Jungle. The MC was busy hunting beasts and had already collected a large pile of cores. Nearby, a group of students spotted him. Seeing his hoard, they demanded, "Hey! Give all those cores to us!"
The MC smirked, "You really think you can take them from me?"
Just then, a System notification popped up:
System Alert: Host, these people want to rob you. What will you do?
Kill them all.
Run away.
The MC instantly chose the first option. The students launched an attack, but the MC simply dodged and countered with a single strike. In an instant, they were all dead.
The MC muttered, "Killing them was a waste of time, but I need to hide these bodies or the Sect Leader will punish me."
Ding! Another notification appeared:
"Host, for killing these practitioners, you have earned Villain Points and a Demonic Book."
The MC opened the book and discovered a new technique that allowed him to absorb corpses. After using the technique on the fallen students, the MC unlocked a new transformation: The Eight-Armed Form. However, this form could only be maintained for 3 minutes.
Smiling to himself, the MC gathered all his collected cores, headed back to the Sect, and submitted them. After the Sect Leader saw the massive amount of cores the Main Character (MC) had gathered, he said, "Disciple, you have broken the record!"
The MC simply smiled. The Sect Leader joked, "Even I didn't gather that many back in my day." As they were chatting, the Great Elder arrived and pleaded, "Boy, please, become my disciple!"
The MC asked flatly, "What's the benefit for me?"
The Great Elder thought for a moment and said, "I can see you are on the verge of a breakthrough. I will give you cultivation pills to speed up your level-up." The MC agreed, and the Great Elder was overjoyed.
Breakthrough in the RoomThe scene shifts to the MC's room. He is sitting in deep cultivation to increase his Martial Arts level. It takes four hours to move from the 4th Level Low Stage to the 4th Level Mid Stage.
The MC says to himself happily, "At this rate, I might reach Level 6 within a year. My progress is incredibly fast."
The Encounter on the RoadThe MC leaves his house and begins walking down the street. He notices a group of thugs bullying a young boy. The MC stops and thinks, Should I save this kid? After a moment, he decides, Fine, I've decided to help.
As the MC approaches, the thugs notice him. One of them shouts, "Hey kid! You want to play the hero?"
The MC walks right up to him. With a devilish smile, he whispers into the leader's ear, "No, brother... I don't want to be a hero. I want to be the villain. And do you know what villains do?"
The MC bursts into loud, manic laughter. The thugs are intimidated at first, but they find their courage and rush in to attack. The MC continues to laugh even louder as he moves. In a split second, the scene blurs—and the thugs' heads are severed from their bodies.
The MC walks over to the bullied boy and asks, "Hey, are you okay?"
The boy, trembling with fear, stammers, "Y-yes, I'm fine!" and immediately runs away. The MC watches him go, making a funny, confused face.
The Marketplace and the Governor's SonThe scene shifts to the market. A merchant is shouting, "Come see! I have a Red Spirit Stone! The price is 20 gold coins!"
The MC approaches and says, "Uncle, I want this stone."
Suddenly, another youth steps forward and snaps, "No, I'm buying it!"
The crowd begins to whisper:
"Isn't that the City Governor's son?"
"Yeah, he's a total playboy and a spoiled brat."
The MC stares at the boy. A new ambition begins to take root in his mind: He wants to build his own family—one powerful enough to rule the entire Domain. The Governor's son acted with extreme arrogance, hurling insults. "Who do you think you are?" he barked.
The MC looked at him coldly. "I'll give you one chance. What is your name?"
"My name is Lu Chen," the boy spat.
"Lu Chen. Nice name," the MC replied calmly. "I'll give you an offer: join my team."
Lu Chen laughed, "Why should I?" But suddenly, the MC released a terrifying Aura. Lu Chen, who was only at Level 3, began to tremble with fear. He tried to regain his pride, shouting, "Do you even know who my father is?"
The MC didn't flinch. "You are just the son of a Governor from a tiny, insignificant city. This country is vast, and your city sits in a lonely corner. You are a small fish in a small pond."
Lu Chen fell silent. He realized the gap in their power.
"Join me," the MC continued, "and I will make you famous across the entire country. You will have my protection; all you have to do is follow my lead."
Seeing no other choice and feeling the MC's power, Lu Chen bowed. "Yes... I will join your team."
"Good," the MC said. "From today, you are a General of the Die Family. Now, I need to recruit more members."
The Governor's CrisisLu Chen invited the MC to his home. As they entered the manor, a butler ran out screaming, "Young Master! Your father... he collapsed!"
Lu Chen rushed inside. "What happened? Where are my older brother and sister?"
The butler trembled. "The Princess of the Nu Dynasty took them away. They won't be back for a week."
Lu Chen reached his father's side. The Governor looked weak. "Father, are you okay?"
"I am fine, son," the Governor whispered, "but I have bad news. The King ordered your brother and sister to escort the Princess to the Northern Lands."
Lu Chen's face went pale with rage. "The Northern Lands? That is the most dangerous place in the country! Even Level 5 martial artists die there. My siblings are only Level 4 (Low Stage)! I'm taking my army to save them!"
The Training BeginsLu Chen turned to the MC and pleaded, "Lord, please! Help me save my brother and sister!"
The MC remained calm. "Listen, Lu Chen. We must wait. I am close to a breakthrough. I need to level up before we head north."
"How long, Lord?" Lu Chen asked desperately.
"Three days," the MC replied. "But first, I need a dangerous place to train."
Lu Chen pointed toward the horizon. "To the South lies a deadly jungle filled with monsters."
The scene shifts to the Southern Jungle. For three days, the MC battles ferocious beasts of Level 5 and Level 6, pushing his body to the absolute limit. After the third day, the MC returns to the Governor's manor, his aura sharper than ever.
He looks at Lu Chen and says, "The time has come. Let's go to the Northern Lands."
