When the plane landed, Lora had eye bags so dark that they looked like a set of black eyes. She was tired. Of course, she was; she had just learned she wasn't really family with the people who raised her. She understood that she had no family to go back to. And with Grayson acting psychotic now. Lora was tired from her mind never giving her a chance to rest, but that's expected in a situation like this. Aika had to help Lora through the airport and to a taxi. Aika and Lora had to take a little extra time to get to Lora's place since Lora almost fell just getting out of the taxi. Once inside, Lora and Aika got settled in, and Lora flopped onto her bed, too tired after the day she had had yesterday. She fell asleep almost immediately. Being a heavy sleeper, asleep face down in her bed, she snored heavily. She was unaware that Aila had put away her and Lora's things and the suitcases, then left to get food for brunch when Lora woke up.
While Aika was gone, unannounced to her and Lora, who was asleep, there was an intruder. Coming down from an open panel in the ceiling, Grayson came to the floor with an inaudible thud. He made his way to Lora's sleeping form. Lora looked like an absolute mess. Hair a tasselled mess, eyes closed and bruised from lack of sleep. He looked at her, and a dark smile came to his lips. He silently made his way to Lora's side and kneeled beside her bed, looking at her closely. His hands, rough like sandpaper, brushed Lora's hair from her face, and his fingers traced her soft skin. He watched the face of the young woman who was raised as his younger sister. Now, he knew there was no blood relation in any way; he couldn't be happier. On Lora's sleeping lips, he pressed a gentle kiss. He looked over her face, absolutely adoring her. He wanted to commit everything to his mind and never forget a single detail, anywhere, as Lora's sleeping body lay unaware and blissful of the surrounding situation.
"My little Lora," Grayson spoke low and gently, but his eyes were anything but gentle. "You ran from me, you know that's not safe, you need me. You always needed me."
Grayson brushed her hair from her neck and began to kiss her neck. She whimpered in her sleep. Grayson licked the spot on her neck he kissed.
"Sleep well, I'm not letting you go. I waited two years for you to come back." Grayson's eyes darkened in anger at a thought. "Mom and Dad said to forget you. All because you aren't blood-related to us."
"I was thrilled that we were not blood-related," Grayson continued, watching Lora sleep. "You can be mine. That Katherine is weak and pathetic. If she is my actual sister, she is barely worth anything compared to you."
Grayson let out a harsh sigh, then he kissed Lora again, this time licking her lower lip. Then he stood up, his fingertip brushing against Lora's shoulder as he pulled away his hand. He made his way to the opening in the ceiling and climbed out of Lora's room. He climbed on a stand just below the opening through which he came in. He closed the ceiling panel, as he had never been there, past the mark he had left on Lora's neck. Lora slept peacefully while Aika was still gone, unaware of what had just happened, and had no idea that Grayson had found his way to her apartment in another country. The hours fly by until about four in the afternoon. Lora wakes up, half asleep, as Aika comes back with sushi takeout for her, since she took some time to pick out meals for them both. A simple meal, since neither of them had eaten anything since the plane ride.
Neither of the girls knew that Grayson had been there. In the room with Lora. With Lora and completely alone. If he tried anything more, no one could likely get help anywhere. Lora and Aika both went about their day, no idea that Grayson was there and had a hiding place in Lora's apartment, just above Lora's room, no less. The day grew to night quickly while Lora and Aika had a silent rest of the day until it grew dark out. Lora still felt exhausted from the previous day's experience. She went to bed fairly early. Her body felt heavy, and her head felt swampy. The effect of being awake an entire plane ride still stuck with her. She needed more rest, especially with the emotional drain she's been feeling since she got the call when all this started. Lora wanted to curl up and cry after everything that happened, but she also wanted to just sleep until she wasn't tired anymore. Her body practically shut down the moment she flopped onto her side and into bed. She fell asleep immediately. Grayson watched from the ceiling, keeping an eye on her from overhead, careful for weak points in the ceiling that could cause him to fall through, or points in the ceiling that Lora could see him through. He was watching over her to protect her. His thoughts kept saying this to justify it. But no matter what, he knew he couldn't stop coming to look for her. Lora slept soundly in her bed below. Grayson watched and wanted to go down and adore her.
"Just wait, Lora," Grayson said aloud to himself, silent enough for Aika not to hear him, since unlike Lora, she is a light sleeper. But as long as he could see Lora, he'd be over the moon. "I'll be here for you."
