Jay POV:
I was feeling so sleepy as I didn't sleep the whole night because everything kept replaying in my head.
How I stabbed... my own brother.
I couldn't face Aries now.
"Love, you're awake," Keifer said as he entered the room and sat beside me.
He kissed my forehead, and I hugged him. I told him everything last night
He didn't judge me. He just said there must be a reason, and that he would always be with me.
I felt so lucky to have a partner like him who always understood me.
I nuzzled into his chest.
"Babe, I don't want to see Aries right now... I can't face him," I said.
He nodded.
"It's okay, love. You can stay here," he said.
I shook my head.
"No, I'm not going to give you and your brother any more trouble," I said.
"Jay, who told you that you're giving us trouble? Didn't you see how happy Kerein is whenever you're around?" he asked.
How could I explain it to him?
"No, Keifer... I don't... I think I should stay in Kuya condo for now," I said.
After convincing him for a while, he finally agreed.
I kissed his cheek and got ready.
After breakfast, we left for my house.
I just prayed Kuya wouldn't kill me because I left the house without letting anyone know..
As we reached the house, my heart started beating faster and faster.
How could I face Aries after that?
Keifer held my hand.
"Everything's going to be okay, baby," he said.
I nodded.
We both leaned in and shared a quick kiss.
"Bye, love," he said.
I blew him a flying kiss and waved my hand.
I stood at the gate and took a deep breath.
I opened the door and saw everyone already in the living room.
Kuya noticed me first and shot me a death glare.
"Oh, look who showed up," Kuya said.
I lowered my head.
"Kuya..."
I was cut off by Aries.
"Jay, are you okay? Why did you leave in such a hurry? You look pale too. What happened?" he asked.
Kuya looked between us.
"You met her yesterday?" he asked.
Aries slowly nodded.
"She told me she wanted to talk, so we met, and I explained everything to her," Aries said.
"What are you saying? Then why did she leave in such a hurry?" Kuya asked.
I looked down.
"I remember..." I whispered.
The room went silent.
"What?" Kuya and Aries said together.
"I... I remember that night... when Aries' dad kidnapped us, and I... I stabbed..."
I was cut off by Aries.
"Stop," he said.
My tears started falling.
"I-I'm sorry, Aries... Please forgive me... You were right to ignore me..." I said as I knelt down in front of him.
"No, Jay, please. I already forgave you. Please..." he said, helping me stand up.
I couldn't make eye contact with him.
"Kuya... I-I can't live here. I need time. Can I stay at your condo?" I asked.
He looked between us.
I wondered if he knew what I had done to Aries.
"Are you sure you'll be okay living alone?" he asked.
I nodded.
"I already lived alone before..." I said.
He nodded.
"Okay."
"Jay," Aries called.
"I'm sorry... I need time," I said before running upstairs.
I locked the door, and my tears started falling again.
Since I hadn't slept much the whole night, I lay down and quickly fell asleep.
When I woke up, it was already evening.
I washed my face and packed my bags.
I went downstairs, headed to the kitchen, drank some water, and then walked to Kuya's room.
I knocked on the door, and he opened it.
I peeked inside and saw Aries standing there.
"Aries told me everything. You don't need to feel this way. He already forgave you. But if you need time, we respect that," Kuya said.
I nodded and hugged him.
He caressed my hair and handed me the condo key.
I smiled and went back to my room.
I messaged Keifer that I was going to stay at Kuya's condo for a few days.
I picked up my bags and went downstairs.
Kuya was already waiting.
He put my bags in the car and started driving.
Soon, we reached Kuya's condo.
I unlocked the door.
It looked exactly the same as the day I left.
My few belongings were still here, exactly where I had left them.
"Mm... Jay, I'm sorry, but I have to leave. It's an urgent meeting," Kuya said.
I nodded.
He turned to leave, but then stopped.
He turned back toward me and kissed my forehead.
"Take care," he said.
I hugged him and nodded.
We said goodbye to each other, and he left.
I sighed and closed the door.
I looked around, put my bags inside the room, and started cleaning.
Just then, the doorbell rang.
I washed my hands and opened the door.
"Keif?" I said in shock.
He entered and hugged me.
"What are you doing here, baby?" I asked.
"Me, and my brother are staying here for a few days," he said.
I crossed my arms.
"Why?" I asked.
"Actually, when you told me you were going to stay here, I got really worried about you. So I asked my brother if we could stay at the condo for a few days. They both got excited and agreed," he said.
"Keif... I can take care of myself," I said.
"I know, but you're my baby," he said.
I chuckled.
He started helping me clean, and together we cleaned the condo.
