Chapter 538 - Divine Road

As long as individuals are given meaningful choices when their qualifications are enhanced, the problem of over-concentration in a single development path would naturally be alleviated.

And once the favor system and the job transfer system were truly integrated, Noa could even fine-tune how much each system contributed to an individual's growth.

In other words, he could adjust the proportion of "favor-based qualification enhancement" versus "job-based specialization growth," and directly influence a person's developmental direction.

This meant that although individuals might lose some of the original all-rounded versatility, they would gain far greater depth in their chosen path.

A mage would gain stronger magical aptitude, a melee fighter would gain enhanced physical strength and endurance, an assassin or archer would gain sharper agility and explosive speed.

After such a restructuring, the final result could easily reach a level where specific attributes were nearly twice as strong as they would have been under a purely generalized system.

Of course, that balance could also be left flexible. Individuals could be allowed to decide how their growth points were allocated, effectively giving them agency over their own evolution.

It was not unlike RPG-style stat allocation systems—but instead of assigning points to fixed attributes, it would govern how those attributes grew over time.

Noa paused slightly as the idea expanded in his mind.

"…This is starting to look surprisingly viable."

A faint smile appeared as he continued thinking.

"Why not take it further and fully gamify it?"

He began mentally listing possibilities one after another.

The favor system's rank structure could be converted into a level system, progressing step by step so it remained distinct from profession levels.

Experience bars would need to remain separate rather than merged, but both could be displayed clearly within an updated interface.

The entire panel system itself would need redesigning anyway, so visual restructuring was not an issue.

Then came skill design.

Skills and magic could be assigned tiers, with learning restrictions based on level progression. This would prevent situations where individuals acquired overwhelmingly advanced abilities too early—similar to how certain unstable growth patterns appeared in other systems.

A certain explosive magician came to mind briefly, and Noa mentally filed the example away as a cautionary reference.

On top of that, proficiency systems could be introduced, tracking mastery levels for each ability.

The job transfer system could also analyze true physical and magical attributes directly, eliminating inconsistencies where enhancement effects did not reflect clearly in visible stats.

Even further, a personal log system could be implemented—similar to adventurer record cards—tracking achievements, kills, milestones, and progression history.

Real-time notifications could also be added for experience gain, level-ups, and attribute improvements, ensuring continuous feedback to the user.

As Noa wrote all of this down mentally, his thoughts began to accelerate.

"Right… even the naming needs to change."

He frowned slightly.

"Calling it 'favor' alone is no longer accurate."

The concept had already evolved far beyond its original scope.

After a brief pause, he made the decision.

"The name should reflect its direction."

A path of growth. A structured evolution. A system that guided beings toward transcendence.

"Then let's call it…"

His eyes sharpened slightly.

"The Divine Road."

A broad path leading toward godhood itself.

Originally, favor alone already carried the possibility of ascending toward divine existence—even in worlds where such a concept was unstable or distorted.

Now, with the addition of the job transfer system, that potential had been amplified further. The probability of reaching such a state was no longer theoretical—it was becoming structurally supported.

In that sense, the name was not exaggeration.

It was classification.

Noa picked up his notes and wrote the title at the top of the page:

Divine Road System

Below it, he began documenting design goals, structural rules, and integration pathways in detail.

And then, without hesitation, he started the actual process of merging the favor system with the job transfer system.
