Chapter 525 - Divine Stratagem

After hearing what Noa said, Eris thought about it carefully and surprisingly found that it actually made sense.

As long as the truth was not revealed, who could truly know Noa's real identity?

More importantly, Noa was indeed not from this planet—or even from this entire world. His existence could not be traced in any historical record, divine archive, or mortal chronicle. There was simply nothing that could prove where he came from. In that sense, his very existence was already an anomaly that fit the concept of a reincarnated individual far too well.

Wasn't that essentially the same thing?

As long as Noa personally admitted that he was a reincarnated person, outsiders who knew nothing about the truth would have no reason to question it. In fact, even if someone did feel doubtful, it would not change anything. There was no evidence that could definitively prove he wasn't one. In a world where belief often mattered more than truth, perception easily outweighed reality.

So, in practical terms, Noa could perfectly assume the identity of a reincarnated person just by stating it openly. And ironically, even if he denied it later, very few would believe him anymore once the narrative had taken hold.

Eris's expression shifted slightly as she processed this conclusion.

"If someone asks about it later," Noa said casually, almost amused by the simplicity of it, "I'll just say you were the one who reincarnated me. That should fit your public narrative, right? Wouldn't that actually support your promotion plan?"

He looked genuinely pleased, as if he had found an efficient solution to a complicated administrative issue.

"Do you think this works?"

Eris paused for a moment.

Then, with a reluctant sigh, she nodded.

"…Well. Yes, that would work."

She had no real way to refute such a clean and self-consistent argument. From a purely structural perspective, it even reinforced the existing belief system. The logic was airtight in its own strange way.

"So what are you waiting for?" Noa said immediately, his tone brightening. "Let's go now. We can help that goddess over there get out of trouble sooner."

Eris blinked slightly, not entirely expecting him to move so quickly. She assumed he was simply eager to take action rather than considering any deeper intention behind it.

"Alright," she replied after a short pause.

She did not question him further. From her perspective, Noa's enthusiasm likely stemmed from curiosity or a sense of responsibility. There was no obvious reason to suspect anything else.

Then she asked, "So, what exactly are you planning to do?"

Noa tilted his head slightly, as if the answer were obvious.

"Since you're the manager of this planet, you should know the location of the Demon King, right?"

Eris nodded slowly.

"You tell me the location," Noa continued, "and we'll teleport directly there. Straight into the enemy's lair, find the Demon King, and kill him. Simple."

For a brief moment, silence hung in the air.

"…Are you serious?" Eris finally asked, her voice carrying a mixture of disbelief and concern.

Noa only shrugged.

"It's just something causing trouble on a single planet. I need to deal with it anyway, so why complicate it? A plan isn't necessary. It's not a difficult thing."

His tone made it sound as if he were talking about clearing out a minor inconvenience rather than confronting the ruler of an invading demon army.

"…Alright," Eris said slowly.

Despite her reservations, she understood something important—Noa was not speaking from ignorance. His confidence was too steady, too absolute. That kind of certainty usually meant one of two things: either reckless arrogance, or overwhelming strength.

And Noa did not seem reckless.

So, without saying anything further, she provided him with the exact coordinates of the Demon King's current location.

Noa wasted no time. Almost immediately after confirming the coordinates, he began constructing a teleportation formation. The structure of the magic circle unfolded rapidly beneath him, lines of energy interweaving with precise control. It was refined, efficient, and far beyond the standard spellcraft of this world.

However, just as the teleportation array reached completion, Eris suddenly raised her hand and stopped him.

Noa glanced at her.

"What's wrong?"

Eris hesitated for a moment before speaking, her expression unusually serious.

"You can't just go like this. Even if you destroy the Demon King, no one will believe it was you who did it."
