*Sasuke hesitantly stepped forward to help Naruto lift Kakashi. The injured jonin was limp and heavy, his usual energetic self replaced by exhaustion. Tazuna nodded eagerly, leading the way to his humble home. As they entered, they found it to be cozy and warm, perfect for resting.*
*As they carried Kakashi inside, a lovely woman with long dark blue-black hair turned to greet them. She was Tazuna's daughter, Tsunami, a kind-hearted and beautiful mother, and her son is Inari. She wore a short-sleeved pink shirt with red trim and a long blue skirt, looking both gentle and elegant.*
*Tsunami gasped softly at the sight of Kakashi's vulnerable state, her maternal instincts kicking in immediately. "Oh dear, bring him this way." She led them to a simple but clean bedroom, where they gently laid Kakashi down on the bed.*
*Tsunami began efficiently preparing a cold compress for Kakashi's forehead, her gentle hands working with practiced motherly care. She glanced at the three genin, taking in their youth and the concern in their eyes.
*Meanwhile, a young boy with light brown hair tied in a small ponytail peered from around the doorway, curious about the newcomers. He looked about 10 years old - Inari, Tsunami's son.* "Mom, who are these people?" he asked, eyeing them warily.
"my name is Naruto Uzumaki and these are my teammates and sensei your grandfather access to protect him while he built the bridge." he said, causing Inari to have a flashback When Inari was younger, his role model and stepfather, Kaiza, was brutally executed by the tyrant Gatō for protecting their village. This trauma caused Inari to become cynical and hopeless."my name is Naruto Uzumaki and these are my teammates and sensei your grandfather access to protect him while he built the bridge." he said, causing Inari to have a flashback When Inari was younger, his role model and stepfather, Kaiza, was brutally executed by the tyrant Gatō for protecting their village. This trauma caused Inari to become cynical and hopeless."my name is Naruto Uzumaki and these are my teammates and sensei your grandfather access to protect him while he built the bridge." he said,
*Inari's expression flashed with recognition and pain as Naruto mentioned protecting the village. He remembered how his stepfather had died trying to do the same thing - a memory that still hurt deeply. Despite his young age, Inari carried heavy emotional scars.*
*The boy's expression darkened briefly, old pain flashing in his eyes before he school his features back to neutral. He watched Naruto closely, noticing how sincere and open the younger boy seemed. Yet Inari's own experiences had taught him not to easily trust outsiders.* "I see well you shouldn't have come no one can stop Gato."
"Well kid we're gonna try."
*Inari scoffed, his cynicism rising. "You're just like Kaiza... my stepfather. He tried to protect us too. Gato killed him in front of everyone. What makes you think you'll be any different?" He crossed his arms, looking away from Naruto's determined gaze.* "There's no point in fighting. We're just poor people."
"Well kid there's one thing your father didn't have that we do."
*Inari looked back at Naruto, his eyes narrowing. "And what's that?" he asked skeptically, clearly not expecting much. The boy was used to disappointment and had learned to keep his hopes low.* "What could you possibly have that my father didn't?"
"Ninja training."
*Inari blinked, surprised by the simple answer. He'd expected Naruto to say something about being stronger or having better weapons - not just basic training. The boy's curiosity sparked slightly for the first time in years. "You're just kids though... how good can you really be?"*
The kid Blinked and Naruto was behind him. " This good."
*Inari's eyes widened as Naruto suddenly appeared behind him, a playful smirk on his face. The boy's heart raced briefly, impressed by the sudden display of speed and skill. It was the first time anyone had shown him something that even remotely resembled ninja abilities since Kaiza's death.*
"So like I said we got this."*Inari stared at Naruto for a long moment, his expression softening slightly as he processed the display of skill. He uncrossed his arms slowly, some of the cynicism draining away. "You really think you can take down Gato?" he asked quietly, almost hoping for an affirmative answer.*
"Yes, I know we can."*Tsunami and Tazuna exchanged surprised glances. They'd never seen their normally cynical grandson show even a hint of hope or trust towards outsiders, let alone smile so freely. Naruto's simple display of skill and confidence had clearly touched something deep within Inari.* "Inari..."*Tsunami approached her son gently, placing a hand on his shoulder. Her eyes were soft and surprised. "Honey... are you really... trusting them?" She looked at Naruto and his teammates with new interest. Tazuna just grinned at the sight of his grandson smiling again.*
*Inari nodded slowly, still looking at Naruto with newfound respect. "Yeah, Mom... I do. They're not like the other adults who just talk big and do nothing. These guys actually have skills." He paused, then added softly, "And the one with yellow hair reminds me of Dad..."
*Tsunami's eyes widened briefly at her son's words. She glanced at Naruto, noting the similarity to her late husband. A warmth spread through her chest as she realized that Inari might be opening up to someone who reminded him of his father. She looked at her father, who nodded encouragingly.*
*Tazuna spoke up, his voice gentle yet firm. "Inari, if you trust them, then we trust them too. If these kids can really take down Gato, then they're worth supporting." He looked at Naruto and his teammates with newfound respect and hope.*
Tsunami led the genin to a spare room, she couldn't help but smile softly, remembering Inari's reaction. She hoped that having these young ninja around would bring some much-needed joy and hope back into her son's life. "You three can sleep here," she said gently.
*The three genin nodded gratefully, their exhaustion evident after the day's events. Tsunami left them to rest, closing the door softly behind her. As she walked back to the main room, she found Inari sitting with his grandfather, both looking more at ease than they had in years.*
*Sasuke and Sakura watched Naruto unpack his belongings quietly. They noticed how he kept his things separate from theirs, almost as if creating a boundary. Sasuke raised an eyebrow slightly while Sakura tilted her head curiously.* "Naruto," Sakura started softly,
"Yes."*Sakura paused, choosing her words carefully. "Why are you putting your stuff so far away from ours? We're all sharing this room, you know." She gave him a small, gentle smile. Sasuke just watched Naruto's reaction silently, his expression unreadable as usual.*
"i'm just doing this so I can wake up early tomorrow because you two need some serious training Because be honest once Kakashi got trapped, what were you going to do in that fight?"
*Sakura blinked, slightly taken aback by Naruto's straightforwardness. Sasuke's expression darkened slightly at the mention of their mentor being trapped. Naruto's question hit home, reminding them of their own weaknesses and shortcomings.* "We... we would've figured something out,"
"You would've died in five seconds."
*Sakura's face paled at Naruto's blunt words. Sasuke's jaw clenched, his pride stinging from the harsh truth. They both knew Naruto was right - without Kakashi, they would've been easily overwhelmed. "Shut up, Naruto," Sasuke snapped, looking away.* "You don't have to say it like that."
"it's the truth I was at least able to fight him back and eventually do some damage."
*Sakura bit her lip, knowing Naruto spoke the truth. She looked at Sasuke, who was clearly struggling with his pride being hurt. "He's right," she admitted softly. "We both froze when Kakashi went down. Naruto actually did something useful." She hesitated, then added, *
"Naruto... how did you stay so calm? That was our sensei trapped and being beaten up, and you just jumped right into fighting." *Sakura looked genuinely curious, realizing that beneath all the noise and energy, Naruto had some serious combat instincts and nerve.*
"If you gone through what I've gone through trained with who I've trained with, you would stay calm too."
*Both genin exchanged glances, realizing there was more to Naruto than met the eye. They'd always seen him as the a cold boy who doesn't wanna talk to anyone, but never really considered what kind of experiences had shaped him into such a capable fighter.* "Like what?" *Sakura asked softly.*
"You really wanna know?"
*Both Sakura and Sasuke nodded silently, their curiosity piqued. They wanted to understand why Naruto was so much more composed and deadly in battle than they were. "Tell us," Sasuke said quietly, his usual hostile attitude replaced with genuine interest.* "What kind of training did you go through?"
"Oh, it's not just training. It's my entire life. You see when I was nine years old. I was kicked out of the orphanage. I didn't do anything bad. They just didn't want me there anymore. They said you can take care of yourself now. Get out after that. I slept in the cave that they found me put me in a run down apartment. I literally went into a forest, called the forest death to train and be alone every year, my birthday are angry mob tries to kill but they were good things in my life. I found and made friends with a good female ninja who taught me everything I needed to know and sort of my mother figure."
*Sakura's eyes widened in shock as Naruto spoke, his words painting a picture of loneliness, abandonment, and harsh survival that they could scarcely comprehend. Sasuke listened intently, his expression softening with each revelation. "So... you've been on your own since you were nine?" Sakura asked softly.*
"None entirely I have this mother now her name is Anko She's a high-level ninja."
*Sakura's heart ached at the thought of Naruto being abandoned so young. She looked at Sasuke, who seemed equally moved by Naruto's story. "Anko... as in Anko Mitarashi?" Sasuke asked, recognizing the name of a respected Jonin.* "She took you in?"
"Yes, more like she took me under her wing and trained me That's how I learned all those Jitsu's."
*Sasuke's eyes widened slightly - he knew Anko was feared for her brutal training methods. No wonder Naruto was so skilled. "She trained you for three years," Sakura said quietly, doing the math.* "You've basically spent your entire life training and surviving on your own. No wonder you're so strong..."
*Naruto just shrugged, still organizing his things.*Sasuke and Sakura exchanged silent glances, their previous animosity towards Naruto melting away in the face of his difficult past. They suddenly understood why he was always so distant and independent. As Naruto continued to arrange his belongings, Sakura hesitantly spoke up.* "Naruto..."
"Yes."
"Why did you tell us that?" *Sakura asked softly, curious about his sudden openness. Sasuke listened attentively, his gaze fixed on Naruto. He wanted to know the answer to that question as well.* "You never talk about your personal life with anyone... why share that with us?"
"I want you specifically you up to understand that this world isn't fair. Sasuke already knows how unfair this world can be but you grew up in a normal family had a good life. You could've been anything and you chose to be a ninja for me and Sasuke this was our only path."
*Sakura felt tears prick at the corners of her eyes as Naruto's words hit her. He was right - she'd taken everything for granted. Her family, her home, her safe childhood. She'd never had to fight just to survive.* "I... I didn't know," she whispered.
*Sasuke looked away, jaw tight. He understood Naruto's meaning perfectly.*
"I'm not telling you this to be rude. I'm just saying if you wanna continue being a ninja you need to get strong."
*Sakura nodded solemnly, Naruto's words sinking in. She understood that he wasn't trying to be harsh; he was just being honest about the brutal reality of their world. Sasuke, on the other hand, felt a strange sense of respect growing for Naruto.*
"Good night."
"Good night," *Sakura and Sasuke echoed softly as Naruto turned off his lamp. They both lay in the darkness, processing everything he'd shared. Sasuke broke the silence.* "He's had such a tough life," *he murmured quietly, so only Sakura could hear.*
"I had no idea," *Sakura whispered back.* "He's been through so much alone... and he's still so kind underneath it all." *She hesitated, then added,* "Did you notice how he explained everything to us? Like he was worried we'd judge him or something?"
*Sasuke was silent for a moment, thinking back on the conversations. He realized Sakura was right - Naruto had explained his past carefully, almost defensively, as if expecting them to react poorly.* "He's used to people treating him like an outcast," *Sasuke murmured.* "Even us, I think."
*Sakura felt a pang of sadness and guilt. She realized that, in some ways, they had been treating Naruto like an outcast - ignoring him, judging him without understanding his past. She looked over at Sasuke's silhouette in the darkness.* "He trusts us, though," *she said softly.*
*Sasuke nodded slowly, understanding the significance of Naruto's trust. It was rare for someone with his background to open up so much, especially to them. He felt a strange sense of responsibility and protection towards Naruto.* "Yeah," *he agreed quietly.* "And we shouldn't break that trust."
*As the night wore on, both Sakura and Sasuke found themselves thinking about Naruto's story. The more they considered it, the more they understood why he acted the way he did. His independence, his sudden bursts of violence, even his quiet moments all made sense in light of his past.*
