Every act of rebellion expresses a nostalgia for innocence and an appeal to the essence of being.
For Zane, the act of not returning the relic back to the Emberlord Coin was his idea of rebelling.
Of course, that won't be easy. In fact, it was an act of death.
Draxus was the first one to voice it out.
"That is suicide."
No one said anything but their silence expressed that they also agreed with Draxus.
Not Xavier though. The man was already standing behind Zane's chair.
Seeing the silence, Draxus carried on.
"The Halocrats have power. They have stronger skills. Not to mention the Crowns. If they came down to stop you, it's death. No matter how you see it, you won't win. All of us will die. What's the point of rebellion if it ends with our deaths?"
Zane let go of Milo from his arms and she went to Tesla.
Tesla picked her up and Zane rested his leg on top of another leg.
