[Bazaar of Cultured People Informational desk]
"Yes. What can I do for you Boss?"
His right chest on his knitted sweater said "Asmat Praknat".
"Hey, I am a foreigner to Bliford, do you know ways to get outside of Sola Frechia?"
Stanley Spoke in a calm but stern voice towards the shopkeeper.
"Sure, there is many ways to get out of Bliford, Don't know why your asking me here in a Bazaar, Biddo."
{Oh. oh. there has to be smugglers here. it is a FOREIGN market. He doesn't want to tell me. Maybe there isn't. I got to push now. I am here and ready.}
"Yeah yeah-there is other ways cheaper right? I am asking nicely, Asmat."
the man spoke slightly differently to match Stanley's tone.
"There is always different methods yes. Tell me why you are asking me?"
He questioned with a stern silly tone. his grin stuck right in Stanley's face. his thick eyebrows moved downwards with each word.
"Bazaar owners got people in their stores who do TWO types of business. Smuggling maybe?"
{There. I dropped it. reward me with "Yeah There is! I will show you to them right now!". I don't want to spend my precious money, you filthy animal. Staring at me like I am the foreigner?}
He thinks this with a blank, happy face.
"Some do, but not us here. Being on the outskirts of main society doesn't give us too much wiggle room." Asmat's voice was straight and firm.
{Is he trying to suggest something?}
"Well, is there another way? for me to get out of here safely?"
"Of course there is. the normal way. buy a ticket with money and get out."
Asmat's face turned sour and annoyed at the young brat in front of him
"GET OUT OF HERE!"
Stanley's face turned just as annoyed as the guy in front of him, then turned away walking with his face tense with disappointment. his neck bent slightly down to match his mood.
Stanley had his chances gone up in flames while the market forgot he walked in and out.
The exit of the big tent was somewhat closely, and was Stanley's next option. right near the stands of foreign clothes and antiques.
"Hey kid."
A brawny tough hand pressed on his shoulder. A man with extreme height.
"Can I help?"
Stanley turned fast and took the hand off his shoulder and said while looking at his large torso.
"Did you hear me earlier?" Spoken with a curious tone, Stanley did.
"Sadly I did hear your rambling. It would be better if you rambled on with me and my other colleagues." The beefy man wearing a trench coat spoke in a low monotone voice which gave confidence.
{Is he suggesting something? It has to be either smuggling or the cops.}
"Can we talk somewhere better please? I'd Recommend please?"
"Yeah. Follow me Buddy." He lifted his hand, signaling him to follow. He starts to walk left from the entrance, near people, stalls and the tent walls. at the end of the crowded dusty area was a exit from the Bazaar. Outside they walked in the afternoon heat of the city Through a small gap between buildings on Lionsmane Rd. Three blocks after turning left led them to a bakery. "This is where you want to talk in? YNB bakery?" Stanley spoke to the man, which he responded, "Yeah. you already trust me enough to walk with me so I reckon you'll be fine having a conversation about "that", right?"
{"That" probably means smuggling or illegal travel. I was getting worried. This random Fuck took me to a bakery but maybe it has more to it. What am I saying, of course there is. I'll run as fast As I can if he won't give me what I asked for. I Thought about this before, he IS helping a random man he thinks will pay. He might scam me. I'm watching out for you.}
[creak][shut]
A store filled with the scent of pastry and absolutely Delicious delicacies made in store everyday overloaded and clouded the nose and brain of Stanley. He doesn't enjoy Pastry too much sadly. The atmosphere of good conversations was around the corners of the shop. Left and fridges for buying drinks and couches, tables and chairs. Right also had drink fridges and Couches, tables and chairs. the front of Stanley and the man was the all the food and counters were. displayed by glass and unique metal was hot food on the far left with an oven to trap the heat. left hand cakes and desserts like jelly slices and Mongasteen cakes.
the front counter had the paying stuff like tip jars, Card payments and Big Deal payments.
{it has to be hidden well. a secret business. Let's see what we have here anyway. I am famished brutally.}
{Big Deal payments exists even out here? Huge expansion on the business size.}
{What even is the time?}
There so happens to be a five different clocks for different races and minds. A Human clock so happens to also be there.
{4:12 PM. I have do this. gotta ask him. gotta ask him. I. Might ask him.}
while Stanley was standing near some cakes and thinking, Mystery man was talking.
Stanley noticed the man who was obviously an employee was talking on the same attitude level and Mystery man. He got interested and slowly walked up to the two with his hands in his pockets. He interrupted at the right moment of their conversation about "Rooms".
"So, what are you buying?" Stanley asked the big man calmly.
"What are you gonna give us?" the Employee asked while looking at Stanley with the intent of getting information.
"Uhhhh". "Money. and shit"
"Ahnel. He looks like the target individual right?" this grabbed his attention to Stanley's appearance.
The employee took a few seconds and responded back with shock.
"So, that man was RIGHT?" Ahnel said right in the trench coat man's face.
"Yeah. he was. So let's go the back and talk. Right?" The trench coat man said to Stanley while patting his back."
"Y-yeah."
4:33 PM
So you smuggle people? Stanley asked with slight tension and fear.
Staring with mysterious intent was an international smuggling group.
The group in front of Stanley was six men and one women. with clothing that looks rugged, distinctive and professional. only one man was still wearing his uniform.
"Yes. we do for prices and information." the person who spoke was on Stanley's left, close to the middle of Stanley's vision.
{The man whom spoke with me at the Bazaar was called Ahnel by the others. He switched his uniform earlier to sturdy clothes for rigid travel. yet has the vibe of men who dress to impress others. Eye bags, hair that reaches his jaw, brawny build, cautious eyes who monitor my limbs. A man of experience. good or bad. I am fearful of him}
"But. Where part of town are you from?" whispers from the group were distributed.
"I am not from here. I only want to get back to my parents whom Live in the planet Suran."
Ahnel changed the tone of his voice to test the young man.
"You must know who we are to find us. Who are we then?"
"I- only heard from Him. You smuggle people in exchange for money or other things precious. a-anything worth money or potential value."
{Fuck Fuck. I don't know what to say to these people. I do what to say but I will something else because I am fucking stupid, I hate that part of me.}
"I do have information depending on what you ask me." Stanley replied nicely
"What is that supposed to mean boy? Are you trying to test us?" Said a tall man replying with a curious tone. He bent down to Stanley who was sitting down in a chair in the back room of the bakery.
"uh-" "You don't test us because we supply safe travel to you. Understand?" Interrupted the tall man wearing a over sized trench coat.
"Let me finish, so I got memory problems, so ask me questions and I will answer honestly." Stanley's posture changed to a more tense, open position with his hands holding together and legs spreading. A confident posture which didn't match Stanley's below average looks.
This statement seemed to take the words right out of the man, Whom seemed more encouraged to talk to the young adult in front of him.
"well then, what region were you born in?" The man stared down with the intent of intimidation and breaking his confidence as he bent his back, looking down with somewhat calmness.
"Andromeda, Hypen north district. Want more details?" "No."
"Did you come from a faraway place when you arrived here?" He raised his left eyebrow with suspicion.
"Actually, I did. How did you find that info?" {Holy shit. How in gods name did he find that out. Never even mentioned it to anyone here.}
"I ask questions. I'll tell you later so forgettaboutit. " {Raises more questions but alright. I guess.}
"was this place in the Solar system of Polonian Lepidus?"
Stanley's eyes react with a extreme eye increase first, then he stared with too many thoughts dashing in his head to say his first thought right now. Instead He fixes his posture with his back moving back from the man in front which maintaining eye contact.
"Now." Stanley raises his hands with a mix of [I WILL FIGHT IF YOU COME NEAR!] and [FREEZE! HANDS ABOVE YOUR HEAD]. Confusion and distrust whirled his complex brain.
"you all are random p-people I just met, right? besides that guy I met five minutes ago, You shouldn't know much about me. I came to you. YOU. for help to get me back. I arrived here 3 hours ago and you probably know that. Nothing was tracking me. Cameras, blood trackers, Neuro-contracts, Nothing you have could have or would have tracked me."
His voice got much louder because of [FIGHT OR FLIGHT]. He stood up and backed away slowly from people who never moved with his arms still up. His face tensed up every second that past, Eyebrows flexed, nose flared and every other alert of something different showed on his body.
"Now look guy. I can't blame you for a reaction like this. I'd be confused if you were calm. I am only reading out a message I got from a transporter who recently came to us to look for you and ask some questions to make sure you, are the real Stanley Kleitos.
the man in the trench coat dropped his aggression from his body language and tone of voice, when he backed away closer to his colleagues.
reacting instantly he responded,"Now Again. I never even told you my full name. Not EVEN MY NAME."
"That answers another question." "did you use quantum teleportation to come here?"
"Of course not! I don't break laws, plus I never had access anywhere near me for that to be useful to me.
{I never used or practiced with those science shit. Most people like me are the same and haven't used it either. WHO THE FUCK IS THE GUY THAT REQUESTED FOR ME? It can't be any of my family, they don't have the budget. It can't be anyone from Lepidus, Since I blended in fine when I was there. Maybe I did? I got not a single clear idea. Fuck me.}
Stanley after twenty seconds of looking and deep thinking got him to sit back down in the wooden chair he previously was on. leaning his back forward and putting his elbows on his legs, He relaxed and calmed down.
Stanley's face scrunched up with disappointment. This day was not going well for Stanley even if he could move to the next place in his eyes.
The man next to the trench coat guy, A rough skinned darker tone man wearing a uniform for the bakery he works at spoke and interrupted the trench coat man. He put his hand on his shoulder to signal something.
"So, D-" "Can I speak? thanks. We only have two more questions." Ahnel Interrupted him.
How do you feel about exploration of the universe?"
The room was silent for about three seconds after it was delivered while Stanley was figuring out his answer for an unexpected question.
"Uh. Space and planets are cool, but I wouldn't be up for that type of thing. I do not have experience, enough knowledge and strength plus mental strength to become an planetary adventurer."
Stanley couldn't hold eye contact for more than two seconds before looking at the six other people in the room. {What are they discussing with each other, Me? Is that not enough of an answer? Did I just hear a notification?}
"I-I can give a better answer if necessary, Do I need to?"
the others stopped talking, a few looked at him and one guy looked at his cellular phone and scrolled down reading something. the rest of the people looked at the phone and then looked back and forth at Stanley and the phone in bewilderment.
"Say that again? I need to hear this again." the man in the trench coat spoke slowly and doubtful.
the other people looked worried at Stanley and looked back at the man who spoke.
"Yeah, D-Do I need to give a better answer?"
the others looked at Stanley. confusion bubbled in every spot of their faces.
"BAHHAH!" A man had a chuckle at Stanley's response which caused everyone to look at him. The middle aged man laughed with a heavy tone, seeming like he was a response to something. {Something I said triggered this man to laugh, I hope he's not laughing at me}
"Don't worry little man, We have one more thing and we will send our responses to the man whom we talked about earlier."
"Yeah we will plan to submit this audio recording to our new transporter, and he'll get back to us soon." They responded in a comforting way which was completely different to the way they started this conversation.
"uh, okay."
"Now final question. Do you, Stanley Kleitos believe in supernatural things such as magic, heaven and hell and souls?
{Magic? Of course not, but Heaven and Hell I obviously believe due to my christian background. Souls? They connect with heaven and hell, so I do believe in that.}
Stanley's posture changed as he leaned back and put his right hand on his left shoulder.
"Magic. Magic isn't real but Heaven, hell and souls are. my reason is because I've been taught that at a young age which gave me that idea long ago and I have really tried to doubt it as heaven and hell is a way to motivate myself."
The group of seven men and women looked at Stanley each with their own thought on what to say. Only the crowds outside could be heard in the storage room behind the kitchen of the bakery. then the man called Ahnel spoke.
"well then. thanks, Stanley. just stay here right now. we'll come back in like four minutes, we have our main business to run. I'll drop you a Monty roll as a snack while waiting."
The group walked out of the room, pushing the door to the kitchen while chatting to each other.
{The fuck is a Monty roll?} this was the only thing on Stanley's mind for five seconds, now thinking deeply with concern and doubt.
[SHHWWWOOOOOOM.]
"Shit. Shit Shit Shit SHIT."
Thaddeus Wei returned back from his live memory session. standing next to him was his boss, Towa whom still is in suspended Soul detachment.
Thaddeus immediately grabbed his colleague by the shoulders and shook his body before throwing him to the smooth stone floor.
"SAHAHAHAFAIWKFWOAH?" was the first thing Towa said as he hit cold floor, waking from the viewing of Stanley Kleitos.
Thaddeus also extended an arm to Towa, which he used to get up from the floor.
the silence and vrromming of the orb calmed down was the only thing being heard from those two at this moment.
Towa broke the silence.
"Now, something has gone wrong. You obviously know that from the annoyance I can see on your face. Stanley was originally going to Forge a plane ticket with someone at the Bazaar but something has spiraled out of control. Someone is changing fate to get Stanley for experimentation, as I told you before dumb ass."
Towa stared right at the middle of Thaddeus's eyebrows, making him feel more awkward than he already was right there.
"Sir. you were right I know I know now."
"Someone has changed fate and needs correction to be on the right path."
