Chapter 320 - A Terrifying Explosion

Suddenly, a deafening roar tore through the void, like the angry cries and laments of Gods before their fall.

The invisible force condensed to its extreme, then burst forth with a boom, releasing endless light and heat.

The invisible force, carrying endless light and heat, surged outwards, tearing through time and space in its path.

The first to bear the brunt was the Captain of the Dark Celestials.

Endless light and heat swept past the energy barrier erected by the Captain of the Dark Celestials, and the invisible force also impacted it.

At this moment, the Captain of the Dark Celestials and the other Dark Celestials who had merged with him proved one thing with their lives.

Their assessment of this weapon's power was correct, it was enough to easily kill most Celestials.

If they could have lured the Celestials to the designated location as planned and successfully evacuated, it would have been a great victory.

After the Captain of the Dark Celestials was engulfed, the Celestials followed.

By the time the invisible force reached the Celestials, it had already attenuated considerably. But even so, the energy barriers of almost all Celestials were destroyed in an instant.

For both the Celestials and the Dark Celestials, the dimensional fragment explosion had a very large effective kill radius, and an even larger area of effect.

But if the scale is placed in the Multiverse, this range is very small, like a small ripple in the sea. In the past, such small ripples would not be noticeable, but today, someone happened to be passing by in a small boat.

"What a magnificent sight!"

"What a magnificent sight!"

Set, who had already escaped that dimensional fragment and was resting on a giant rock-like substance in the distant Superflow, exclaimed.

Chthon glanced at Set and also sighed, "If we had left later and were in the middle of this explosion, I'm afraid we would have been in big trouble."

A figure shrouded in a wide black robe beside Set and Chthon said, "It's not time for sentimentality yet. The Celestials won't die out so easily. Attack now and kill the surviving Celestials."

"Yes, Creator." Chthon replied, then got up and sped away.

Set was somewhat reluctant, but Chthon had already moved, so he could only reluctantly follow.

"Stupid bird, the aftershocks of the explosion haven't subsided yet. If we go now, we'll also get hurt." Set said.

"Dumb snake, keep up." Chthon retorted.

Just as Set was about to retort, he found that Chthon was flying in the wrong direction.

Chthon was not heading towards the center of the explosion, but rather circling the explosion center at a distance, patrolling the surroundings.

Before long, Set and Chthon discovered a Celestial who had been propelled out by the explosion's shockwave.

Working together, they quickly killed this Celestial, who had narrowly escaped the explosion's kill radius.

"This is?"

"Understand now, dumb snake? We don't need to rush into the explosion, we just need to lie in wait at the edges for these Celestials who come out." Chthon said with a cold snort.

Then, he flapped his wings and flew towards another Celestial who had also escaped.

Set saw this and quickly followed, but Chthon shouted, "Split up, dumb snake!"

The Celestial squad guarding outside the dimensional fragment, responsible for sealing its entry and exit, suffered far less damage because they did not delve deep into the dimensional fragment, compared to the Captain of the Dark Celestials, Ziran's Celestial squad, and Exitar's Celestial squad deep within the dimensional fragment.

At this time, many of their members had successively escaped the explosion's kill radius.

However, these Celestials who escaped the explosion radius exchanged information briefly and quickly realized something was wrong.

Despite being outside the dimensional fragment and not enduring too powerful an explosion of energy, they had suffered a large number of casualties.

Moreover, none of these deceased Celestials had managed to transmit their death message.

Something's wrong! Very wrong!

The Celestials, sensing the anomaly, immediately began to assemble, but before they could complete their assembly, casualties quickly reappeared.

This time, the Celestials maintained constant communication with each other, so they clearly saw it.

The communication link of a certain Celestial with other Celestials was instantly cut off by a mysterious force.

This discovery was instantly broadcast by the Celestials on site to other Celestials across the Multiverse.

Upon learning this news, the Celestials were in an uproar.

Their proud, almost unblockable, omnipresent, and instantaneous intercommunication technology had been cracked.

The Dark Celestials...

How terrifying!

For a time, the Celestials' vigilance towards the Dark Celestials, increased again.

As the Celestials assembled and discovered that their deception was exposed, Chthon and Set no longer took risks. They stealthily returned to the giant rock and hid themselves.

Chthon and Set originally wanted to leave directly, but they were stopped by the Creator, who insisted on waiting a little longer.

However, this 'little while' was not just a little while.

After a long time, seeing that the Creator still had no intention of leaving, Chthon advised, "Creator, the Celestials' reinforcements should arrive very soon. Let's withdraw."

The Creator refused the withdrawal suggestion again, "No matter, let's wait a little longer. Ordinary Celestial detection methods cannot discover us."

Chthon persuaded again, "What if the Celestials use some extraordinary methods?"

But the Creator remained unmoved. "Based on my research on the Celestials, they don't possess such methods."

He paused, then explained, "Since the Celestials won the Celestial War, they have become complacent, indulging in the power they seized – guiding the evolution of life."

"For countless ages, through several cycles of the Multiverse, they have grown accustomed to and indulged in their role as rulers of the Multiverse."

"They completely ignored other races that gradually grew to stand at the pinnacle of the Multiverse, and the Cosmic Beings whose power continuously expanded due to the Multiverse's development. As of now, my power has already surpassed that of the Celestials."

"If it weren't for certain treaty restrictions preventing me from openly acting against them, I would have long since swept them into the dust of Multiverse history."

"Creator is mighty!"

Chthon said perfunctorily, and from his expression, it was clear he did not believe the Creator's statement.

If the Creator's power truly surpassed that of the Celestials, why would he need to borrow his and Set's power, using them as tools, at this moment?

There must be a power within the Celestials that even the Creator fears.

The Creator saw Chthon's distrust, but he did not explain further.

What he said, those who understood would naturally understand, and for those who didn't, explaining would be useless.

After a long time, the Celestials within the explosion radius had finished assembling.

Among them, only Ziran, Exitar, and three unknown Celestials who had entered the dimensional fragment survived.

And the five surviving Celestials were all in very poor condition at this time.

This was undoubtedly bad news for the Celestials.

It was also bad news for the Creator.

The Creator calmly glanced at Chthon and Set.

His purpose in sending these two to intercept was to bury Ziran and Exitar.

However, Chthon, that sly fellow, had been slacking off outside.

Although he had ambushed and killed many Celestials, the results were far short of his expected outcome.

Chthon chuckled awkwardly.

He naturally understood the Creator's meaning. But going deep into the explosion radius to intercept Ziran and Exitar carried certain risks for him and Set.

To avoid exposing their identities, Chthon and Set, disguised as Dark Celestials, could not fully unleash their strength.

Moreover, even fighting with full power, Chthon and Set could not guarantee that they could kill Ziran and Exitar.

Don't underestimate Ziran and Exitar because of their very poor condition at the moment.

As one of the Celestials' high-ranking members, who can guarantee that they won't suddenly pull out some cosmic artifact?

Once the assassination fails, Ziran and Exitar, having recovered, would very likely discover that Chthon and Set were not true Dark Celestials, and might even trace their identities based on clues.

After Chthon finished stating his excuse, he then passionately declared, "Creator, I am thinking of you. It doesn't matter if I and this dumb snake are exposed and hunted down and killed by the Celestials. But if your plan is exposed, that would be troublesome."

The Creator remained silent, only giving Chthon a deep look.

Chthon's words were both an excuse for himself and a subtle threat to the Creator not to think of using him and Set as pawns. Otherwise, they would not mind exposing the Creator, leading to a lose-lose situation.

Sometimes, a double loss is better than a single win.

After a moment of silence, the Creator said, "Chthon, you, Set, Oshtur and Gaea, the four of you are all important parts of my plan. I will never abandon you, no matter what."

This was his guarantee to Chthon and Set.

However, how much Chthon and Set believed this empty promise is another matter entirely.

On the other side, the assembled Celestials once again counted their numbers, and after confirming that no one was left behind, they sped away together.

From beginning to end, not a single Celestial cast their attention towards the Creator's location.

Seeing the Celestials depart, the Creator sighed inwardly and prepared to leave with Chthon and Set.

"What a coincidence, the great God of Black Magic, Chthon, you are here too. Can you tell me what happened?" A voice sounded.
