Huang Shi angled his punch in such a way that it would cause Lou Jun not to fly off into the distance, but instead be smashed straight into the ground. A few of his bones broke as blood spurted out of his mouth, and he screamed:
"HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?! HOW ARE YOU SO STR—"
BOOM!
Huang Shi didn't let him finish his monologue; he raised his right foot and kicked him straight in the stomach, causing Lou Jun's face to flinch in pain and agony as the golden flames constantly set fire to his spiritual energy and siphoned off his vitality.
Huang Shi was just about to continue beating up this bastard who had made Qiao Fenyi suffer so much when, all of a sudden, a wave of purple vines filled with sharp thorns appeared all over the ground.
They were strong enough to hold back his golden flames, even if only for a bit, as they wrapped around his body and trapped him.
Lou Jun, seeing that his enemy was trapped, chose not to say anything.
His eyes flashed with hatred; now that he knew Huang Shi was an actual threat and that it wasn't just a fluke that he had been injured, he stopped messing around as he started taking the fight seriously, pointing out with his red fingernails:

All of a sudden, the thorned purple vines surrounding him tightened their grip even more. Huang Shi felt a large amount of poison suddenly seeping through his veins and entering his bloodstream; he felt his thoughts slow down, his body scream in pain, and his eyebrows scrunch in discomfort.
Guess I can never underestimate these so-called geniuses…
Despite this, Huang Shi never once thought he was going to lose this fight. Even if this person was at his full strength, he would at most have battle prowess at the 8th level of the Nascent Profound Realm, and that was a level he was wholly capable of contending with even without the boost of his Primordial Sunfyre Halo.
RUMBLE
Seeing that the fight between Qiao Qinghe and Huang Mo was about to reach its natural conclusion, Huang Shi knew he didn't have much time left to vent his anger on Lou Jun and finish his quest and so he knew he needed to act fast.
Thankfully, he had already figured out a solution to the so-called Purple Rose Poison of this Lou Clan; as his body instantly let out a sharp golden light filled with the power of purification.
WHEENG!
As the light spread out from within his body, the poison that was currently trying to ensure he suffered the most pain and agony possible before he died was suddenly wiped out of existence. In fact, it was disappearing at such an unbelievable speed that it seemed to defy the laws of cultivation.
Of course, Lou Jun noticed this fact as well, and his face scrunched up in an ugly grimace as he opened his mouth to scream:
"What the hell did you do? How did you get rid of our poiso—"

Suddenly, Huang Shi—now freed from the purple vines because he had burned them off using his golden flames, and because their poison had essentially been wiped from existence—pointed his finger at him. A wave of powerful golden flames ripped through Lou Jun's body, concentrating surprisingly on his face.
"AHHHHHHHHHHH! WHAT ARE YOU DOING! STOP! STOP, IT HURTS!"
"MY FACE! MY FACE IS BEING BURNED! STOP, STOP, STOP!"
Lou Jun started screaming and wailing on the ground as he felt his entire face being burned. Huang Shi, knowing that he had accomplished his goal, didn't stay around to see the result of his actions; he instantly turned around and rushed straight toward Qiao Fenyi, whose body was currently glowing with a powerful golden light that protected her from the previous attack.
Shit... my experiment worked. I can leave my golden light on other things, just like I can leave my golden flames behind.
WHOOSH
Without waiting for Qiao Fenyi to mouth any words of disapproval, he instantly took her into his arms. Her entire body felt warm under his touch before he started to rush toward his estate within the sect, not wasting any more time. And yet, before he could continue, he heard her speak.
"Wait, wait... go to the Medicinal Hall! It's safer there, since there are other grand elders subordinate to my grandfather who can help protect us there in case the other grand elders of the Disciplinary Hall come!"
Huang Shi nodded his head as he instantly turned around and started running in another direction. He ran for a few seconds before suddenly stopping and turning his gaze back toward the ongoing fight between Qiao Qinghe and Huang Mo.
"Uh... should we really be leaving your grandfather behind like this?"
Qiao Fenyi suddenly fell silent, her expression conflicted. Truth be told, despite her grandfather's actions in trying to protect her, their relationship still wasn't amicable; she still felt resentment toward him because of what happened to her mother. And yet, despite this, it took only a few seconds to make her decision.
"We should run straight to the Medicinal Hall and ask the other grand elders there for help! Even though I doubt Head Grand Elder Huang Mo would dare severely injure another Head Grand Elder within the confines of the Azure Dragon Sect, he could still make it so that he is bedridden for a couple of days…"
"But more importantly, we are still too weak to do anything at this moment…"
Huang Shi grit his teeth as he looked back at the clash between the two True Profound Realm powerhouses, his golden eyes shining with a fierce light.
Fuck... running away like this is embarrassing as hell...
Despite these thoughts, he didn't let his emotions get the better of his logical mind. He instantly ran toward the direction of the Medicinal Hall, Lou Jun's screams in the background growing fainter as they ran farther and farther away.
