Azriel's Point Of View
I watched the dark crimson bloom across her cheeks, spreading down her neck like spilled wine under the low, warm ambient lights of her living room. It was my favorite view in the world… this woman who commanded boardrooms with icy precision, now flushed and vulnerable before me. She tried so hard to maintain that fierce, independent wall of hers, but her skin betrayed her every time.
The contradiction thrilled me. It reminded me why I couldn't get my eyes off her in the first place, why no other woman had ever come close to affecting me this way. She was a puzzle I'd never fully solve, and that mystery drew me in deeper with each passing day.
Slowly, deliberately, Seraphina moved forward on her knees. The air between us crackled with anticipation.
