Seraphina's Point Of View
I stared at Azriel, my eyes widening as his words echoed through the small space of my living room. The heat radiating off his body threatened to overwhelm me entirely, but the sheer audacity of what he was implying brought a sudden, desperate surge of panic straight to my chest. My pulse hammered in my ears, drowning out rational thought. This couldn't be happening… not here, not now, not like this.
I planted my hands firmly against his broad, muscular chest and shoved with all the strength I could muster. "Are you insane?" I gasped, my voice pitching high as I tried to break free from his iron grip. The words tumbled out in a rush. "You can't just suddenly say things like that, Azriel! I am your employee. A literal worker at your company!"
