The Rogue King replied, "Oh, yes, yes, that's true. Your father, Anderson. He was a very pesky, uptight man. He wouldn't stop poking, killing my people. He took the role of being gamma way too seriously.
So I had to take him out. I mean, you would understand the plot for revenge, wouldn't you? Knowing your uncle helped me carry out my plan efficiently,and you also killed him for revenge." he smiled.
He liked how he was messing with her.
Meret's gaze darkened. She was fighting the urge not to cry right now. She could feel tears burning behind her eyes.
The fact that he owned up to it and didn't feel sorry pained her more than anything. But then again what was she expecting from a rogue?
"And you think I'm going to help you after you killed the one person I loved the most?" Meret asked, trying not to cry.
The Rogue King shrugged. "If you don't, well, you know what's at stake. So it is up to you to choose. But at this point, I don't think you have much options left."
