Sansa's POV
My heart clenched immediately when I turned away from Koa. I could feel Sansa's wolf—now my wolf was greatly displeased about it.
I shrugged it off. But it was replaced by a familiar dread.
I couldn't help but think if I had made the right choice given my current status.
The further we walked, the quieter everything became.
At first, I kept glancing back, half-expecting someone to call me, to stop me, to drag me back to where I was supposed to be. But no one did. The noise from the house faded, replaced by the soft crunch of gravel beneath our feet and the distant hum of the night settling in.
Still, I couldn't shake the unease sitting in my chest.
"Rowan…" I called, my voice softer now, no longer playful.
He turned to me immediately. "Hmm?"
I hesitated for a second, then let it out. "Are you sure… about this?"
His brows furrowed slightly. "About what?"
