Chapter 96 - Chapter 96: The Mutated Magic Beans First Show Their Might

Waiting with bated breath, time ticked away as everyone waited anxiously inside the Hogs Head Inn.

It wasn't until Adelaide had wolfed down two ham sandwiches like a whirlwind that the long-awaited scene finally occurred—a completely transparent squirrel nimbly squeezed through the crack of the door and darted into the Hogs Head Inn in the blink of an eye.

The cute, tiny squirrel opened its mouth and spoke in a coarse, middle-aged man's voice: "Mr. Dumbledore, those damn Death Eaters are here. They're right behind the Shrieking Shack, twenty-one of them in total."

"To avoid causing a riot like last time, the Dark Lord has sent Wizards who haven't served time in Azkaban. You'd better be careful!"

Hearing this news, Dumbledore's lips curled slightly, a faint, imperceptible light flashing in his eyes.

He knew very well that these were twenty-one unregistered Death Eaters on the run. If they could all be eliminated or successfully captured, it would undoubtedly be a heavy blow to Lord Voldemort's forces.

Adelaide, standing to the side, was also exceptionally excited, secretly calculating: the kind-hearted Lord Voldemort had sent her a pillow just as she was nodding off—this wave provided twenty-one excellent experimental subjects. How thoughtful!

At the thought, Adelaide rubbed her hands together, eager to try. When she made her move later, she had to be fast enough; she absolutely couldn't let anyone else beat her to it.

However, Dumbledore clearly had different ideas. Lowering his voice slightly, he cautiously instructed, "Adelaide, your Fiendfyre Loyalty Curse is incredibly powerful. Do not use it rashly right at the start. Let's observe the situation first and capture a few live prisoners before making a decision."

Adelaide frowned slightly and curled her lip in dissatisfaction, but she still nodded in compromise and said, "Fine, then I'll just throw these magic beans first."

The Shrieking Shack was located in a very remote area. To avoid drawing unnecessary attention, the group carefully cast Disillusionment Charms and hurried along.

After several minutes of rapid walking, they finally arrived near the Shrieking Shack, just in time to collide head-on with the group of Death Eaters emerging from the vanishing cabinet.

The experienced and calm Dumbledore did not strike rashly at the first moment. He quickly and silently scanned the enemies opposite them, silently counting their numbers in his mind.

Once he confirmed there were twenty-one of them, a cold light flashed in his deep eyes. Without hesitation, he raised his wand, and a powerful Super Stupefy shot toward the leading Death Eater like a bolt of lightning.

At the same time, seeing this, the other members of the Wizengamot also reacted, quickly raising their wands, prepared to engage in a fierce battle.

However, none of them were as fast as Adelaide, who had long been unable to restrain herself and was poised for action.

Her face was flushed with excitement, eyes shining with a thrill as she impatiently threw the eight mutated magic bean seeds held tightly in her left hand onto the ground at the Death Eaters' feet.

These magic bean seeds seemed to possess a life of their own. As soon as they touched the soil, the mysterious runes meticulously carved on their skins immediately glowed with a dazzling golden light.

The seemingly ordinary magic bean seeds sprouted instantly, their pink vines growing and spreading wildly at an incredible speed.

In the blink of an eye, eight thick pink vines rose like fierce giant pythons. They raised their heads, which were composed of Chinese Chomping Cabbages, and bared the venomous tentacula stingers on their bodies, lunging at the panicked Death Eaters.

The group of Death Eaters was completely stunned by the scene, not even having time to worry about their leader, who had stumbled and fainted from the Stupefy attack.

The few people standing at the very front were utterly dazed, watching helplessly as the pink vines surged toward them like a tide, wrapping and binding them tightly with an unstoppable force.

Merlin's flip-flops!

What the hell is this thing!

The remaining Death Eaters finally snapped out of their shock. With terrified faces, they retreated repeatedly while unhesitatingly launching fierce attacks at the strange and ferocious vines.

For a moment, various magical lights flashed and intertwined, colliding with the vines and producing bursts of booming sounds.

Adelaide rubbed her head, secretly reflecting on everything happening before her.

This eerie scene was exactly the same as the third vision she had seen when her prophecy ability awakened years ago. This allowed her to breathe a sigh of relief; at least it proved that her careful cultivation of the magic beans had not veered off course.

"What on earth is this thing?" one Death Eater shouted, eyes wide with shock.

"Looking at this ferocious momentum, this plant must be at least 4X-level in power..." another Death Eater added with a trembling voice.

Not only were the Death Eaters ignorant of these hybrid magic beans, but even the members of the Wizengamot were completely bewildered.

While everyone was buzzing with confusion, Amandine quietly explained to the Wizengamot members, "Everyone, please remain calm. This is a magic bean variant personally cultivated by the Young Mistress. It's normal that you haven't seen it. The Young Mistress joined this operation specifically to test the strength of these mutated magic beans."

Hearing this news, the noisy crowd fell silent instantly.

Then, the gazes of all the Wizengamot members focused in unison on Adelaide, their eyes filled with a near-fanatical adoration.

"As expected of our Young Mistress! To be able to successfully cultivate such a ferocious and powerful magical plant in just her first year, she's simply a natural-born leader!"

Someone shouted excitedly, and others nodded in agreement, making no effort to hide their worship of Adelaide.

At this moment, in the hearts of these people, Adelaide had already become the well-deserved Young Mistress and the best candidate to inherit the mantle of leadership in the future.

Even the always steady and wise Headmaster Dumbledore couldn't help but cast an admiring yet complex look at her, as if he were scrutinizing a rising new star in the Wizarding World.

Surrounded and praised by everyone, Adelaide gradually lost herself in the acclaim, an involuntary sense of elation rising within her.
