Mount Sumeru.
The center of Buddhist mythology.
The location of the Great Leiyin Temple in Journey to the West.
Also known as Mount Meru, Mount Sumeru, and several other names.
The Sutra on the Origin of the World describes Mount Sumeru as follows:
"O Bhikkhus, halfway up Mount Sumeru, at forty-two thousand yojanas-about 1.1 million kilometers-are the palaces of the Four Heavenly Kings.
On Mount Sumeru are the palaces of the Thirty-Three Heavens, where Indra resides.
Upward from the Thirty-Three Heavens by one multiple are the palaces of the Yama Devas.
Upward from the Yama Heaven by one multiple are the palaces of the Tushita Devas..."
The rest was omitted.
Roughly three hundred words were skipped.
"A million kilometers..."
Hiro gazed at the towering peak in the distance.
"Seriously. You shouldn't lie without a draft."
With a straight-line distance of less than three hundred kilometers, his Observation Haki could fully encompass Mount Sumeru.
After giving it a little thought, he already had a rough estimate of the mountain's height.
About twenty kilometers.
Roughly three times the height of Mount Everest.
Assuming the temperature dropped by 0.6 degrees Celsius every one hundred meters, the summit of Mount Sumeru would be drastically colder than the base.
For ordinary humans, it would be the end of the world.
If placed in the human world without supernatural energy, Mount Sumeru would indeed qualify as an unparalleled miracle peak.
But in this world...
It could only be described as magnificent.
Nya. Meow. Meow.
The black kitten on his shoulder continued meowing nonstop.
Whenever the kitten showed even the slightest intention of harming him, it would immediately perform affectionate actions-licking, rubbing, or gently scratching.
It had completely transformed into an obedient, docile house cat.
"Grayfia."
Hiro narrowed his eyes slightly and looked toward the cloud-shrouded, unobservable peak.
"Indra is at the very top of Mount Sumeru, right?"
"Yes."
Grayfia nodded calmly.
"As the highest ruling deity of the Thirty-Three Heavens of Mount Sumeru, the Heavenly Emperor Indra always resides at the summit. He rarely leaves, and there have been no recent reports of him traveling to other factions."
Rarely leaves?
Hiro recalled the image from his memory.
An unruly, middle-aged man in casual clothes, wearing sunglasses and prayer beads.
His expression became subtly strange.
I didn't expect you, the great Indra, to be a homebody.
You weren't like this in the original work.
He shook his head and pushed aside the unnecessary thoughts.
Then he slowly ascended into the air.
"Grayfia. Follow me."
"Yes."
To ensure the infiltration was flawless, Hiro fully deployed [Psychological Control], whose range of influence far exceeded that of his Haki.
At the same time, he combined Super Calculation with an enhancement from [Vector Manipulation].
The result was short-term, minute obstacle recognition.
Followed by immediate handling.
Even existences like Indra, Sun Wukong, and Xuanzang could not remain unaffected.
As a result, no one noticed the two figures openly approaching the peak.
"The three factions of Bible mythology actually shook hands and made peace."
Indra, sporting a buzz cut, slammed open the door to his office.
"How boring!"
His brows knitted deeply as he cursed under his breath.
"Michael. Sirzechs. Azazel."
"Are those three idiots' brains full of mush?"
"What's the point of a peaceful world?"
"Only war and chaos can give birth to the strong and allow them to advance."
"Standing still only leads to self-destruction."
"In the end, it still falls to Cao Cao and the others to light the fire."
"What a bunch of idiots!!"
Still grumbling, Indra strode into his familiar office.
Then he froze.
The usual beautiful secretary was nowhere to be seen.
Instead, an East Asian man with black hair and tea-colored eyes was sitting in his chair.
Casually browsing through confidential documents.
Behind him stood a silver-haired devil maid with a calm, composed expression.
The instant Indra's eyes landed on the maid's face, his expression changed violently.
Lucifer.
How did that old monster-who had been a maid for thousands of years-suddenly appear on Mount Sumeru?
And no one informed me?
That meant she had entered illegally.
Which meant...
She was hostile.
Grayfia Lucifer was a completely transcendent devil.
Although she rarely participated in devil politics and was one of the most low-profile top figures, any faction leader with even a shred of common sense would remember that face.
And remember it deeply.
More than fifteen hundred years ago, she had taken the dying Strongest Red Dragon Emperor as a Servant.
And had casually cut down the Strongest White Dragon Emperor in history.
That White Dragon Emperor-hailed as the "Strongest in History"-had already reached the Transcendent level.
A "World Top Ten" powerhouse.
An existence on the same tier as Indra himself, the God-King of Mount Sumeru.
There were even rumors that Grayfia Lucifer's strength had surpassed the Infinite Dragon God Ophis.
Of course, since the two had no reason to fight, the truth of that rumor could never be verified.
Still.
For such a monster to silently infiltrate Mount Sumeru and break into his office...
That alone didn't shock Indra.
What truly made his blood run cold was something else.
Why.
Why was this monster standing so respectfully behind a young man?
It was common knowledge that Lucifer's maid persona was nothing more than part of her maid training.
She had never truly submitted to anyone.
Never.
And yet.
What was he seeing right now?
"Oh?"
Hiro raised an eyebrow slightly, noticing Indra staring fixedly at Grayfia with a horrified expression.
"It seems, Indra, you've recognized my maid's identity."
His tone was calm.
Ambiguous.
Am I too low-key?
Or has too little time passed?
Or do I just lack any impressive achievements to show?
Grayfia's fame is even greater than mine.
