Chapter 65 - | Wedding pt.2

Ruth… and… Boaz… oh! From the book of Ruth! Should I read it right now or…?"Live it," I quickly looked at Yeshua who was now walking beside me with a smile. "Leave it?" I asked Him confusedly. "No, no. Be present in it," said Yeshua. Oh! 'Live' it not 'leave' it! Yeshua chuckled. "Is it similar to the book of Ruth?" I asked again. Yeshua smiled then looked forward. "One could say it's almost similar," answered Yeshua.

Moments have passed since the wedding began and it's finally the part of the husband kissing the bride!

"You may now kiss the bride," said the priest with a smile. Boaz lifted up Ruth's veil with a smile and he kissed her exactly when the sky was orange and pink and the sun was setting down the horizon. We all clapped but James and Jude and the others whom I'm guessing are the same age as them hyped the newly wed by cheering them up.

After the ceremony, the celebration was held inside the event place. Thankfully all of us were gathered at the same table. As they are all enjoying the evening, there's this thought that didn't leave my mind and thankfully, I am sitting beside Jude, "Hey, Jude," I called him, making him look at me, "What is it, Maria?" Asked Jude with a smile, "Did you already read the book of Ruth?" I asked again, meeting his eyes. "Yeah, my cousin Ruth was named after her since our Auntie Naomi loves the story so much," said Jude, answering more than what I asked.

"I knew it! It wouldn't be a coincidence having a mother named Naomi then your name is Ruth!" Said Tabitha sitting beside me, making both me and Jude look at her, "You knew the book as well?" I asked. Tabitha nodded in response. "Of course, you do," I said to myself then looked back at Jude. "What was the story?" I asked Jude. But before Jude could even speak, someone cleared their throat behind, making us look who it was and saw Jaime.

"Can-can I have this dance?" Asked Jaime then me and Tabitha looked at each other. "I-I think he's asking you, Maria," said Tabitha as she slowly looked unexcited. I quickly glared at Jaime then hit his stomach. "Ow! What was that for?!" Asked Jaime as he curled himself while standing and glaring back at me. "You better say the name or there will always be misunderstanding, big guy," I answered Jaime while still glaring at him. Jaime then grabbed the backrest of my chair and stood himself straight.

"I was asking you… Tabitha," said Jaime struggling to stand straight. Tabitha and I looked at each other again and the excitement came right back at her as her face turned red. I smiled at her. "Su-sure!" said Tabitha then Jaime reached out for her hand and she placed her hand on his hand and they walked towards the dancefloor. "I can't believe he finally gathered the courage to ask her," I said then looked back at Jude who's also smiling at the two of them. "Where were we?" I asked Jude again.

Jude looked back at me and fixed the way he sat. Oh, I think he's about to lock in."It began with this family who lived in Bethlehem but moved to live in Moab. This family consists of a husband and wife and 2 sons. The husband was named Elimelek and the wife's name is Naomi," said Jude. I squint my eyes at him, "Now what is the name of your uncle?" I asked Jude. He chuckled, "Not Elimelek, that's for sure," answered Jude, making me chuckle.

"Elimelek died then their 2 sons each had a wife, one of Naomi's daughter in-law was named Ruth. Then after 10 years, Naomi's 2 sons died, leaving her only with her 2 daughter-in-laws," continued Jude, still locked in. Wait, what?"What? Your auntie loves THAT story?" I asked Jude with confusion on my face.
