The nurse slipped her phone back into her pocket and glanced toward the two bodyguards standing outside Lin Meiyin's ward.
Both men stood motionless, their sharp eyes scanning every passerby.

The two men looked at her.

"The hospital director requested additional security downstairs. A group of reporters somehow got into the VIP building and are causing trouble."
One of the guards frowned.
"Our orders are to protect Mrs. Gu."
"I know," the nurse replied anxiously. "But Dr. Qin Cheng specifically said only one of you needs to remain here. The other should assist downstairs before the media reaches this floor."
The two guards exchanged glances.

"Security Team Three, respond immediately. Reporters have breached the first floor."

The guard clicked his earpiece.

He turned to his partner.
