Chapter 110 - No Time To Rest! 2

Upon hearing his voice, everyone quickly put their attention on Suzuki, despite the fact that they were facing the Behemoth. This gigantic monster could practically tear and flatten them into mincemeat.

"OOOOOOOOOOO!!!"

Usually, Suzuki would ask Suzu to make a barrier, but considering how strong this monster was, it was impossible for Suzu's barrier, despite being enhanced due to her Barrier Master job, to stop it.

Still, they were lucky that their location was at the stone bridge, where their surroundings were nothing but a deep abyss, where it was impossible for anyone to climb up unless they conquered it.

Yet, without a doubt—

"Stop blaming Hiyama's stupidity now. Follow my lead."

So, by using this environment to his advantage, Suzuku had made up his mind on how to handle this situation, and at the same time, he had to unite everyone to make Hiyama into an enemy, as this guy was a liability.

Naturally, his words were heard, and even if they wanted to lash out at Hiyama, they would do it later when they could escape from this place.

"...." Hiyama.

Yet, wasn't it normal for them to react this way?

When Hiyama's sheer, unadulterated stupidity triggered the trap, the class wasn't just teleported—they were dropped directly into a nightmare.

The Behemoth was a wall of muscle, armored scales, and pure violence.

Could one even take care of it?

"EVERYONE, LISTEN TO ME! FIGHT TOGETHER WITH ME!"

Yet, as expected, Kouki wouldn't let Suzuki take over the lead as he immediately shouted, trying to lead everyone. "I WILL FACE IT! LET'S HOLD IT TOGETHER AS WE DEFEAT IT!"

Kouki might have been shaken once again, but, as expected, when he thought that all the attention and power he had collected would be taken away by Suzuki, his fear vanished as he charged forward.

"YOU IDIOT!"

Meld grabbed his head, chasing after Kouki.

"That liability..."

Shizuku flinched at the sheer stupidity of Kouki's words as she had an intense headache that almost split her head.

"Calm down. I will handle this."

If Suzuki let Kouki lead, he knew that they were all going to die, so he knew that he had to lead them.

Wouldn't it be better for him to fight using his daggers and use his other jobs?

It might be faster that way, but if he handled all the problems like Kouki, who charged forward, he would be overworked to death, so he knew that he had to delegate.

So, using his understanding of everyone and their environmental advantages, he made his order by combining everyone.

CRACK!

Behemoth charged. It was impossible to stop its momentum, as every one of its steps could practically destroy anything. Blocking it was simply suicide, so he decided to use Behemoth's own weapon instead. He looked at the group of mages and said, "Nomura, don't create the wall! That thing will smash through! Alter the floor! Drop the left side of the bridge to a thirty-degree angle!"

Kentarou Nomura, the Earth Mage, slammed his hands down, and the stone bridge violently tilted toward the abyss.

"Mizushima, flood the tilt!"

Shiori Mizushima, Water Mage, panicked but obeyed, casting a massive wave of water that coated the newly angled stone.

"Miyazaki, freeze it! Absolute zero, right now!"

Nana Miyazaki, Ice Mage, hits the water with a concentrated blast of ice magic.

In three seconds, using his order, the bridge tilted into a tilted, entirely frictionless slip-and-slide angled directly off the cliff.

The charging behemoth suddenly realizes its massive, digging claws have absolutely zero traction. It began to slide.

"RAAA?!"

"....." Everyone.

Everyone was startled by how smooth the result of his order was, yet it was far from over.

Behemoth was panicking, trying to use its massive weight and brute strength to smash its claws into the stone underneath the ice to anchor itself.

"Aizawa." Suzuki pointed at the desperately flailing beast. "I don't need you to seal its magic! Use your seal skills to target its front shoulders, make them heavy!"

Sakura Aizawa, the Seal Master, cast a high-tier suppression seal directly onto the Behemoth's front limbs. The beast's own weight doubled in its front half, dragging its nose down onto the frictionless ice and completely ruining its center of gravity.

It is now a multi-ton hockey puck.

At that moment, everyone felt a sense of strange excitement.

Their plight was about to be over!

Yet, it was still far from being over!

"Don't let your guard down! Follow my lead once again!"

The beast was sliding toward the edge, but it was massive. It needed a final, overwhelming push, and Suzuki didn't need to do all the heavy lifting himself, as his classmates could do it.

"Saitou! Maximum output, gale-force! Don't aim for its face, aim for its center of mass. Treat it like a sail!"

Yoshiki Saitou, Wind Mage, unleashed a localized hurricane directly into the Behemoth's broad side, pushing the frictionless, sealed monster violently toward the edge.

Behemoth's back legs are desperately scrambling for the edge of the bridge to stop the fall.

"Suzu, do the thing!"

Suzu, who had been taught by him from the beginning, remembered all of his teaching, so the moment his words fell, he did the thing he asked. She didn't cast a shield. She giggles nervously, her eyes flashing with newfound sadism, and spawns a tiny, unbreakable, two-inch barrier directly behind the Behemoth's scrambling back ankles.

"You stupid beast. You provoked the wrong group~!"

Behemoth's back legs slammed into Suzu's microscopic tripwire. The beast's momentum flipped it entirely over.

"RAAAAAAAAA?!"

With a deafening roar of confusion and terror, the invincible labyrinth boss tumbled backward off the frictionless ice, over the edge of the bridge, and plummeted into the pitch-black abyss below.

"....." Everyone.

Gulp!

"I-Is it over, T-Tanaka-kun?"

"Yes." Suzuki nodded calmly. "We have defeated it."

The entire class stood on the tilted bridge, panting, completely stunned. They didn't even swing a sword.

Kouki was standing in the vanguard, his glowing holy sword raised, looking incredibly confused because the boss he was monologuing at just slipped on a banana peel and fell into hell.

Still, Suzuki wasn't cheering. He just sighed, rubbed his temples, and gestured for Nomura to level the bridge back out.

"Good job, everyone. Now, Nomura returns to the bridge, and let's walk carefully since if you fall, then you won't have time to return."

Those who were curious, as they peered into the abyss, nodded as they walked carefully to the safe zone, ready to return.

Yet at that moment, this show of intellect cemented their trust in him and showed that, as long as they followed him, everything would be okay. But without a doubt, Hiyama was in a messed-up situation.

Still, this was far from over since, as they were about to walk, another magic circle emerged, and several monsters came once again, but—

"LEAVE THIS TO ME, EVERYONE! WE HAVE TO FIGHT FAIRLY AND HONORABLY! WE CAN'T FIGHT LIKE A COWARD ANYMORE! WE HAVE TO FIGHT LIKE A HERO!"

Kouki was ready to take the lead, yet at that moment, no one listened to him.

"Oh god..."

Still, Suzuki didn't have time to rest.

---

While I know you guys are a bit lonely, since I haven't given a response to your comments, please wait for a while, since I need to finish all of the procedures for my thesis proposal, so I can start to work on a seminar proposal, so it will be judged by committe chosen from the lecturers whether I can continue or not. Hopefully, I can finish everything next week, but let's see how it goes.

Wish me luck, and I wish you luck, too!

Thank you!

From your lovely author, Akikan40!
