Chapter 109 - No Time To Rest! 1

With everything under control, everything went smoothly. Previously, they were just a group of young people used to living a peaceful life, but now?

They were ready to fight any foes and monsters within the dungeon and had the confidence to clear the Great Labyrinth of Orcus.

Under the leadership of Kouki and Meld, and with Suzuki's logistics management making their mission even easier, everyone soon found themselves on the 20th floor of the dungeon.

"O Divine Wings...

"Soar to Heaven!"

Kouki held his sword horizontally with both hands as it was illuminated by holy light.

"Celestial Flash!"

Rockmount, a gorilla-like monster, was cut in half by Kouki's blade, decapitating it, killing it instantly.

"As expected of Amanogawa-kun!"

"You are so strong!"

"Hero, you are amazing!"

The majority knew their potential was lower than Kouki's, so they tried to be his allies, as they knew that if they had Kouki by their sides, Kouki would definitely save them.

"Hmph! It was easier than I had imagined."

Kouki was smug, feeling relieved and appreciative, since as they grew deeper into the dungeon, he could feel his influence growing stronger. Everyone worshipped him, and they all loved him, knowing that he was the best of all, which made him subconsciously stare at Suzuki; only Suzuki appeared to be working as usual and seemed not to pay attention to him.

"....."

Why did he feel like this?

Kouki didn't like this feeling, but when he was about to cause trouble for Suzuki—

BOOOM!

Captain Meld smashed Kouki's head harshly!

"Do you want to get killed by having the entire cave drop on top of us, you bastard!"

"S-Sorry, Sir..."

Kouki messed up.

Yet Suzuki never paid attention to Kouki; instead, as they went deeper, he became even more focused, knowing that the plot's time was approaching.

To be honest, even now, he wasn't even sure of what he should do, since even if he didn't really clear up the dungeon, he knew that he could conquer this world.

Kouki might have his hero-like job, Nagumo might become the edgelord with high-tech weapons, and there were still many others, yet even so, Suzuki could handle all of them.

Still, when he thought of the ability of the magic that came from the dungeon, he had to admit that he would be lying if he wasn't attracted.

'Well, I have this skill anyway.'

Suzuki still had a certain skill that he hadn't shown, and this one skill was the reason why he believed he could grow stronger than anyone.

Yet, without a doubt, with him handling the management, everything was smooth.

Kouki got his hero play, Nagumo could even do his creative play, trying to fight on his own terms despite having a non-combatant job, and the rest got the stability that they wished for since Suzuki handled all the boring problems.

As for Shizuku and Kaori?

Well, don't ask them, since the two of them lived well, especially when his food could boost their stats, and his penthouse could erase all their exhaustion and help them recover faster.

More importantly, Suzuki's body was so strong, and his skills were just so godly that he made all of their stress vanish.

While the others were troubled by many other things, the three remained as stable as ever, yet Suzuki knew that once they learned of his plan, they might react differently.

Still, as Kouki's attack caused the dungeon to shake violently from the impact, some of the parts of the dungeon on the top fell, collapsing slightly, and revealing a beautiful gem there.

"Check out that jewel!"

"So pretty!"

Kaori also couldn't help but stare in a daze, watching how beautiful the jewel was, and subconsiously glanced at Suzuki, only he didn't pay attention to her and was busy with his own work, which made her pout, yet she didn't complain, as she knew that if she wanted to, he might even buy the mine for the gem.

Such a thought made her giggle slightly, thinking about how lucky she was, and as he ignored her today, she might punish him slightly at night~!

"..." Suzuki.

"Oh, that's the Glanz Crystal. It's rare to see such a big one. They don't have power, but nobles love their luster. Still, enough of that, let's go back to the surface to rest. I've had enough fighting for one day."

Yet, as Kaori looked into the jewel, someone suddenly said, "I will get that jewel for you."

"Hiyama-kun?"

Kaori looked at her classmate with confusion, especially when Hiyama appeared so confident and smug.

"You want that gem, right?"

Hiyama didn't even wait for Kaori's reaction and climbed onto the wall, ready to pick the jewel for her, yet Meld was shocked and panicked as he looked at Hiyama.

"Stop it, you idiot!"

"Chill out, I am great at climbing!"

"That's not the point! Hurry up and climb down!"

"Yeah, yeah. Just shut up, you old fart."

"No, that's a trap!"

Yet, Hiyama didn't even listen and picked up the gem before he looked at everyone with a smug face. "Look? It's easy, right?"

However, as the gem was taken, everything seemed to stand still, as an immense energy suddenly enveloped all of them.

"GET YOUR HANDS OFF THAT THING, YOU IDIOT!"

Along with Meld's roar, a giant magic circle appeared beneath everyone's feet.

"...what an idiot."

Suzuki felt an intense headache as he just wanted to go back, but he knew well that, in many cases, the organization wasn't perfect, and people often had to deal with idiots like Hiyama.

Then, as the magic circle shone brightly, Suzuki quickly moved closer to Shizuku as he pulled Kaori, and as expected, they were in a huge problem.

The scenery around them had changed, and what appeared before them was no longer a cave but an intense darkness as they stood atop the immense, stone-like bridge.

"W-What's happening?"

"A stone bridge?"

"W-Where is this?"

Everyone subconsciously looked at Suzuki, who seemed to be looking in a certain direction, and as they followed his gaze.

"W-What's wrong, Suzuki-kun?"

"...well, our situation is more dangerous than we all can imagine."

At that moment, a gigantic black magic circle suddenly emerged, and a monstrous figure rose to over ten meters, exuding brutality and feralness as it stared at everyone.

Ah... they were going to die.

Those thoughts crossed their minds as they saw the Behemoth.

Yet at that moment, when they were just standing in fear, Suzuki pinched the bridge of his nose, feeling an unadulterated moment of exhaustion that made him understand why many babysitters, in reality or in the service industry, had the highest burnout of all.

Still, he knew well that despite the competition, he would receive a low salary, or there wouldn't be any at all, as he wasn't paid anything, but when he thought about how the messes that Kouki or the others would make were, he knew well that he had to do something.

Yes, it was too early to give up.

So for now, he took a step forward and said, "Alright, listen to me."
