Rami froze at the icy tonality in Kai's voice, his full name falling from his lips like a scolding, and all colour rapidly drained from his face.
He immediately stepped away, out of the grasp of Theo's hands and bent his head down to Kai's ear, one hand against his back and the other pressed against his cheek when Kai attempted to turn his head aside, petulantly.
"No one. He's no one." He murmured quietly, pressing his lips against the side of his neck.
Kai pushed his head away and made no attempt to lower his voice, "He had his hands around your neck, Rameses; he doesn't look like no one to me."
"No one?" Theo placed his pale hand over his chest in mock offense before tilting his head back and letting out a peal of bright laughter, "Still so mean to me, you're lucky I like it."
Kai noticed his nails were painted a bright electric-blue.
'Does he like this sort of thing?'
