With Uri's lips pressed to his father's forehead, Kai grimaced awkwardly and made to inspect the craftsmanship of a wooden beam above his head.
He was ninety percent sure that Uri did not need to use his lips to do this after all.
Yet just as he was about to turn his gaze to the ceiling, Uri's face paled.
The perfect porcelain complexion of his skin drained away and with it, his human disguise, as though he were unable to hold it in place.
And then, his expression crumpled into one of utter grief and sadness.
"Uri?" Kai stepped closer warily, his voice, hushed.
He didn't wish to interrupt after all, and he had been unconscious when Uri had killed the Demon that was possessing him inside of that cave, so maybe this was what happened to an Angel when they took a life.
But he would have thought that Uri would have warned him he was going to sprout wings in the middle of the Artifact Healer's hospital.
