Several hours passed before Talyra finally detected the incoming industrial group. Four ships arrived: two large cargo transports, a maintenance vessel, and an old Vhaloric auxiliary ship that immediately caught her attention.
The auxiliary was considerably larger than the unregistered support vessel previously seen at the reserve station.
Its hull also showed signs of extensive modifications, making its original purpose difficult to determine.
"Commander, the auxiliary is transmitting an incomplete registration," Talyra reported as she examined the approaching vessels.
Aurelian leaned forward in his chair. "Can you identify it?"
"Not yet. The hull configuration is Vhaloric, but several external sections have been modified."
Eirenne immediately began comparing the registration signal against records recovered from the old facilities. After a few moments, she found a partial match.
