Chapter 142 - Chapter 142: The Fused and Evolved Multi-Armed Magical Girl

Chapter 142: The Fused and Evolved Multi-Armed Magical Girl

"Heh, interesting!"

Through the Fire of Hatred that had survived from the previous world loop, Mo Yu finally discovered some fascinating evidence. The fact that his hypothesis was verified was secondary; more importantly, it finally allowed him to peer into the deepest truths of this world-bubble.

Mo Yu made a rough estimate. Calculating at three cases a day, that was roughly a thousand a year, and a million cases over a thousand years. Based on the information carried by that Fire of Hatred—containing several million cases—Sonoko Suzuki had lived through at least several thousand years in the previous loop. If there were rest periods or days without cases, it could span tens of thousands of years.

With such a vast lifespan and experience, Sonoko was truly a "Super Old Monster" level rich heiress! And this Fire of Hatred, which even the world's isolation couldn't fully extinguish, possessed a corresponding depth of power.

However, Mo Yu was somewhat interested in Sonoko's final ending in the first loop. The information within the fire came from her memories, which meant that by the end of the previous era, she had gone quite insane. She couldn't even remember or see Conan's face clearly anymore, but the despair in Conan's eyes had left an indelible impression on her.

A despairing Conan had killed a maddened Sonoko, granting her a temporary exit and liberation from this eternal stage!

Yes, it was only temporary. Just like now, Sonoko had eventually debuted in the second loop, while the residual hatred from the first loop clung to her like a shadow. Perhaps in the next thousand or ten thousand years, a gradually maddening Sonoko would look back only to realize that nothing was happening for the first time. Then, she would likely do as she did in the first loop—ask Conan to grant her a brief rest and liberation once again, until the stage restarted once more.

Through Sonoko's experience, Mo Yu began thinking about Conan. Conan could kill Sonoko to provide a brief peace, as he was the Eternal Protagonist; if he truly wished it, the world would grant him that much "face." But what about Conan himself?

On the eternal stage, anyone can be missing except for the Eternal Protagonist. Anyone can die, but Conan absolutely cannot. As the "World" that is the stage and the "Protagonist" that is the core of the story, an absolute relationship of interdependence was formed. This was the source of Conan's power and status, but also the chains of fate that prevented him from ever being liberated.

The first loop's Sonoko was sent away by Conan, obtaining a brief respite. Other original characters likely faced a similar fate. So, in the end, what would happen to a Conan who possessed nothing but despair?

Mo Yu gazed deeply at the sky blotted by the majestic killing intent and chuckled softly: "Heh, this is definitely not a plot for a kids' show!"

Having broken free from the world's isolation, the Fire of Hatred burned wildly and frantically. At this moment, Sonoko unleashed fierce, crazed roars, looking like the Lord of a Forbidden Zone. With an aura of darkness intended to slaughter all things, she began a brutal beatdown of Brennivín.

The law of "Immortal while identity is unknown" attached to the Xiao Hei body allowed the evolved Super-Villain Brennivín to act recklessly, but everything has two sides. Facing an even more terrifying darkness and tyranny, "immortality" became a calamity.

Strangulation, tearing, severing...

One killing technique after another flowed naturally from Sonoko's hands. The "content" accumulated through witnessing millions of cases over vast years manifested here. Under Sonoko's control, those tentacles were more agile and vicious than anything in existence.

Coming back from his thoughts, Mo Yu decided it was time to end this test.

Shiho Miyano had already evacuated from the lab and was taking refuge in a safe room within the facility along with her colleagues. Hearing the occasional roar outside, she felt uneasy, though her cold, elegant face showed nothing.

Soon, the wall of the safe room was smashed apart. Brennivín flew through the air, hitting the ground like a rag that had been twisted in a washing machine for three days and nights.

Shiho's eyes narrowed. she felt no loyalty to the Organization and thus no emotion for Brennivín's plight, but she knew his strength. For his non-human immortal body to be ravaged to this state meant the intruder was no simple foe. She huddled into the corner with her trembling colleagues.

Black flames seeped through the hole in the wall. The artificial light was swallowed by the eerie darkness. Shiho could only see an entity in pitch-black armor, letting out a shrill shriek as it stepped inside.

Brennivín was immortal, after all. Though battered like a rag, he struggled to rise—not to fight, but to flee. Such a plan was unrealistic. The terrifying entity stepped heavily onto his chest, pinning him into the floor, and thrust a hand—transformed into a blade—into his chest.

The hand seemed to grip something and pulled violently. Brennivín let out an earth-shattering scream as a pitch-black crystal shard was ripped out.

"No... you can't take my heart... give it back..."

Threads of black flesh still connected the shard to his chest, writhing like living things trying to pull the heart back, but before the power and will of that hand, such struggle was futile.

Just then, a gloomy, low male voice resonated from the entity's armor:

"Thank you for your nurturing and sacrifice. Don't worry, your sinful heart won't vanish. It will become a great 'plugin' for the Magical Girl's new transformations, granting extra power and skills. Let's call it a Magical Sin Card. But that's none of your business now. Take your 'bento' and exit the stage with a smile; this is the Magical Girl's salvation for you..."

Brennivín hit "GG" in that moment. As the Moriarty fragment was stripped away, the black humanoid silhouette dissolved. A Xiao Hei who has lost his "human" form leaves no corpse behind.

Shiho huddled in the corner, keeping calm, her cold expression masking a frantic prayer of you can't see me, you can't see me...

Though a formal member, she was a researcher; she didn't want to deal with combatants if she could help it. But the entity turned its head and stared straight at her.

Her heart sank. Her Stand was ready. Her ability wasn't for direct combat, but it was potent: injecting drugs via physical contact. If pushed to the limit, she would try.

The entity walked toward them. Looking at her colleagues who were either shaking like quails or squawking like headless chickens, Shiho gritted her teeth, thinking she'd have to tell Gin to train these idiots' courage if he ever returned.

Shiho stepped forward and said calmly: "We are just logistics and research staff. We have no combat ability. We will cooperate with whatever you want. I hope you—"

Before she could finish, the entity "teleported" in front of her. A mask—half-metal, half-flesh, and entirely sinister—entered her vision. The fangs in its slightly open mouth glinted coldly. Primal fear surged within her.

Next, the gloomy voice spoke: "It's best if you cooperate. Come with me; I'm very interested in the evidence and 'Truth' regarding the first loop that you carry...!"

Shiho was shocked to find that the speaker wasn't the person behind the mask, but the armor itself. A slit opened on the shoulder guard like a mouth, and a blood-red eye appeared beside it, staring at her.

The entity reached out to grab her. Shiho lunged, her Stand manifesting to strike the moment they touched.

The attack was successful! As a researcher, Shiho had studied Brennivín. She knew that while evolved Xiao Heis were immortal and immune to poisons, anesthetics still worked. She always carried them.

Sonoko's movements immediately became sluggish. However, Shiho didn't expect that while the Magical Girl was drugged, the suit held another will.

Mo Yu shook his head and switched to direct control. Black tentacles instantly bound Shiho, hoisting her up and tossing her over Sonoko's shoulder. The "entity" turned and left.

Captive and deflated, Shiho remained quiet. Since the enemy didn't seem to want to hurt her, she didn't want to provoke it. Outside, she saw the facility had been half-demolished. She felt a twinge of pain for her destroyed data, but then a bit of schadenfreude—Gin was going to be furious. He'd have to work so many overtime missions to pay for this.

Mo Yu knew Gin would return soon and didn't want to face the "Saint of Slaughter" yet. Tentacles spread from the armor, grabbing the parked cars and even the broken motorcycle.

Cars were dragged in, eroded, mutated, disassembled, and restructured, merging with the Magical Girl armor. Soon, the suit's lower half was no longer legs, but a sixteen-wheeled chariot with several cannon barrels.

With a roar of engines, the Chariot-Magical-Girl sped away. Gin arrived via frame-skip minutes later to find a ruin. Bloodlust filled his eyes as he gave chase.

Using his mastery of "Fortune Obscurity," Mo Yu severed the plot possibility of Gin catching them. He spoke through the armor to the kidnapped Shiho:

"Let's introduce ourselves properly. I'm Q-Coin, a familiar from the Fairy Tale Kingdom. The girl you drugged is my partner, BLACK HATRED. I think you have the potential to be a Magical Girl. Interested?"

Shiho looked at the tentacles and the monster-suit. "No. I'm quite happy being human."

"If you sign, you can have a wish for something trivial, like your soul. Don't you want to leave the Organization? Also, we have a 'Buy One Get One Free' promo. If you sign, I'll turn your sister, Akemi Miyano, into a Magical Girl too, and you can both leave together!"

Mo Yu knew Haibara (Shiho) was a fan-favorite, so he offered the "Sister Combo" deal.

Shiho's mouth twitched. "Is your 'Fairy Tale Kingdom' just another name for Hell? No one signs a devil's soul-harvesting contract."

"If I weren't picky, the line would stretch from Beika to Gotham. But true candidates are rare. Luckily, I offer free trials. Try the experience first, then we'll talk about the contract..."

Black pus began to flow from the armor onto Shiho.

"Wait! What are you doing!?"

"I only have one suit right now. Luckily, I got a 'Magical Sin Card' earlier to expand the slots. This is a new Fusion Transformation. It might be a bit weird, so bear with it..."

The pus covered Shiho. She struggled, but it was futile. Sonoko's armor dissolved and restructured, growing in size. Shiho was "swallowed" inside. They now shared one suit as a two-headed, four-armed conjoined entity with a chariot lower body. Dark energy formed a mask over Shiho's face, eroding her mind to dig for "First Loop Truths."

"OK. The Two-Headed Four-Armed Chariot Fusion form is born. When I get the full Five-Color Sentai, the 'Gattai' form will follow this style. Now... should I give Ran her gift, go get Akemi for the sister bond, or devour Professor Agasa? Hard choice. Whatever, let's just devour them all and see if I can hit the Ultimate Evolution today..."

Mo Yu made his happy decision.

Meanwhile, Conan arrived at Beika Park after school to look for the 666 Beasts as per Gin's orders. Ran Mouri, guided by Mo Yu's hint, also arrived at the park.

By fated coincidence, they were in the same place but on paths that completely missed each other. But this "coincidence" didn't matter. The increasingly hideous Fusion-Magical-Girl was racing across the land, hungrily searching for its next victim—no, its next "partner."

It was heading straight for the park.
