DHI3SV? Chapter 236 Senti: Old Antique, It Turns out You Were a Flatboard Even 50,000 Years Ago!
Who am I? Where am I? Where should I go?
Otto let out the three classic existential questions, feeling completely numb. Looking at Senti cheering beside him and the waves of "well done" in the chat, Otto suddenly felt like he was "sad-shrooming."
Su Mu, you set me up!!
At this moment, the grief and indignation in Otto's heart reached their peak! Thinking back, as long as he participated in a livestream, nothing good ever happened! The first time in Midsummer Night was acceptable; the second time in The Day You and the Stars Disappeared, he was knocked out cold on the spot; and this third time, the streamer and viewers had reached a collective peak of excitement right at the start, wildly shouting "Otto is dead (Hǎosì)!"
Otto felt he shouldn't be here; he should be under the car. If his lovely granddaughter Theresa hadn't begged him to attend, Otto would never have come, even if it killed him. He was developing a genuine psychological shadow regarding being a guest.
Fu Hua coughed, trying to remind Senti to be mindful that Otto was sitting right there. But apparently, her sister wasn't "smart" enough to receive the signal. Senti was still opening imaginary champagne until Fu Hua coughed several more times.
"Old Antique, do you have a cold? Why can't you stop coughing?" Senti asked.
Senti's next sentence left Fu Hua completely speechless. Fu Hua looked at the ceiling in silence. You really are a "genius," aren't you? she subtly pointed her finger at Otto. Senti finally realized, quickly explaining:
"Ah, ah! Sorry! President Otto, I wasn't cursing you... I meant the game, the game!"
Though Otto felt deeply indignant, as a reliable adult, he naturally couldn't hold a grudge against a child. "It's fine. After all, the Otto in the game is indeed a heinous criminal. It's normal to feel satisfied seeing a sinner brought to justice."
Senti immediately nodded in agreement: "Exactly! Otto is simply not human! The things he does are pure 'born-yesterday' behavior! No, he's even worse than that!"
Otto gave a dry laugh, realizing this kid truly couldn't understand human subtext. Sigh, for some reason, I suddenly miss Su Mu. Speaking with a smart person was effortless and comfortable... people with high EQ really did leave a good impression...
Wait. Ultimately, this plot was written by Su Mu, wasn't it? The one who turned him into an irredeemable arch-villain and made him despised was Su Mu, right? Why was he missing the culprit?
Otto felt he was probably going mad. Although he knew one shouldn't conflate the game with reality, the problem was that Su Mu's script was an almost one-to-one replica of these real-life figures. This intense sense of immersion made it hard to tell where the game ended and reality began!
"Moving on, I'm more interested in this awakened 'Fu Hua'... the three voices—Id, Ego, and Superego—are quite intriguing. It seems they are guiding this newly awakened 'Fu Hua' to form her own complete personality." Otto skillfully shifted the topic. He didn't want to dwell on the fact that he had just been brutally beaten by a "newborn."
"True, but I feel like things are looking bad. That 'me' in the game seems to have inherited all the Old Antique's memories. Won't I start thinking I'm the real Old Antique? Ugh, just the thought of it makes me uncomfortable. I have to cosplay as the Old Antique, the 'Shenzhou Flatboard'?" Senti's expression turned to one of pure disgust.
Fu Hua rolled her eyes hard. she thought that she had been too busy with work lately to "love" this "Haji-Senti" properly. Jumping around like this in front of her... the girl was truly asking for some affection! With that thought, Fu Hua began preparing a corresponding itinerary for her dear sister. Mhm, let's start with 'smashing a large stone on the chest.' I'll personally smash it with my fist—specifically with 'Cloud Slasher'...
Senti had no idea she had one foot in the grave. she excitedly continued the game, eager to see what else she would do.
After Senti beat Otto into a pulp, the Schicksal alarms were triggered. When Durandal arrived at the scene, all she saw was Otto lying on the ground, looking like he'd been "ransacked" and was thoroughly dead. Shortly after, explosions and fires broke out across Schicksal HQ, and the entire base fell into chaos.
Although Senti really wanted to shout "Woo-hoo" again, she remembered Otto was sitting right there, so she could only celebrate quietly in her heart. Previously, when Su Mu said he would arrange a strong, handsome, and cool character for her, Senti had been skeptical. Now she realized she was a terrible person! How could she have doubted Su Mu! she felt like she should sit up and slap herself twice tonight for ever doubting him!
Su Mu, you really are my best bro! you're so loyal, even giving me the plot point of beating up the big villain!
"We have many beauties in Mount Taixuan. Though Cheng Lixue is pretty, with her personality, if Su Mu married her, I'd be scolded every day. she's the Old Antique's disciple but shows zero respect to her elders, acting like she's my martial aunt. No, no!"
"How about Little Li (Sushang)? That girl is cute and gets along with me. Plus, she has a big chest; if they have kids, they won't go hungry... Sigh, having a bro like me, Su Mu, you really hit the jackpot in eight lifetimes! It's decided, I'll introduce Little Li to you. how's that for loyalty?"
If Fu Senti had nothing else, she had loyalty! In the world of heroes, loyalty is greater than the heavens!
In the subsequent game plot: The Hyperion also received news of the attack on Schicksal HQ. Overseer Otto was missing and his status unknown. Soon after, even World Serpent was attacked. Everyone found it incredible; who could attack the two largest organizations in such a short amount of time?
However, the group currently had no time to worry about that. Since Kiana had been recovered by the Hyperion, she realized the Herrscher energy in her body was a constant risk. To find the "Taixuan Sword Ki" to control her power, she and Bronya traveled to Mount Taixuan.
Bronya remarked that looking for a secret manual left by an immortal in the mountains felt very much like a game. But Mount Taixuan was not as peaceful as imagined. Many Honkai beasts wandered the mountain. Bronya suggested this might be because cultivating "Taixuan Sword Ki" required Honkai energy... however, Kiana noticed that even so, the concentration of Honkai energy on the mountain was abnormally high.
After fending off the beasts, Kiana followed a familiar aura and found a feather left behind by Fenghuang Down. she tried to unlock the feather using the mental mantras Fu Hua taught her to explore the memories within, only to be pushed away the moment her consciousness made contact. It seemed a seal had been placed on it.
While they were stuck, a swarm of Honkai beasts interrupted their thoughts. Just as they were surrounded, a valiant and beautiful woman dressed in ancient attire and wielding a longsword appeared. she helped them eliminate the beasts, and the techniques she used shocked Kiana. Though it seemed like a simple strike, its grace overlapped perfectly with the Class Monitor in Kiana's memories.
The stranger introduced herself as the protector of Mount Taixuan, Lin Zhaoyu. she seemed surprised to hear Kiana call herself a friend of the Celestial. During the climb, Lin Zhaoyu asked Kiana why she didn't know that the Celestial was the founder of the Taixuan Sword School. Kiana replied that Fu Hua had mentioned it, but she thought it was something from hundreds of years ago.
Lin Zhaoyu told them the Taixuan school had spanned five hundred years and its lineage remained unbroken. However, as traditional martial arts declined, the school didn't fight the trend and became much more low-key. furthermore, Mount Taixuan took slaying demons as its duty and didn't chase fame or wealth, making it a quiet existence.
"Lin Zhaoyu?" Senti searched her mind but found no disciple by that name in Mount Taixuan. Well, it's normal. Su Mu never said he'd write the plot strictly according to real-life people. Otherwise, I'd be the Old Antique's sister in the game.
Actually, when writing this segment, Su Mu had hesitated. To be honest, writing a "heavyweight" plot like "Seven Disciples Slaying the Master" would trigger an immense reaction. If Fu Hua really had those seven disciples, he'd be asking for a "Cloud Slasher" to the face. Fortunately, he learned from Senti that Mount Taixuan didn't have those specific disciples. While there was a person named Yanqing, he was a friend of Sushang and had nothing to do with the "Ma Yanqing" in the game. This gave Su Mu a sigh of relief. He realized that making Honkai 3rd in this world was terrifying work; one wrong move and he'd be knifed and dumped in the bay the next day. Sigh, the 'Evil Burning Chicken' writer's blame is all being taken by me.
In the game, Kiana explained what happened between her and Fu Hua. she hoped Lin Zhaoyu could teach her the remaining parts of the Sword Ki to control her Herrscher power. Lin Zhaoyu told her that Kiana's situation required learning the "Sword Heart" to treat the root cause, but she had sworn a blood oath not to leave the Heart to future generations. This left Kiana stuck, but Lin Zhaoyu then suggested that for Kiana and Bronya, there might be a way.
Lin Zhaoyu helped Kiana unlock the seal on the feather. Within it, Kiana saw Fu Hua's past. Back then, she was still called "Hua," and had not yet become a MANTIS; she was just an ordinary girl. she felt anxious and uneasy because she was about to go to school in an unfamiliar city. On her way to morning practice, she met many people she knew and greeted them one by one.
Through these dialogues, Kiana gained a deeper understanding of Hua. Her family owned a dojo, and she had practiced martial arts since childhood. But the business wasn't doing well; someone even wanted to buy the dojo to open a restaurant, though the deal fell through. Hua's father had been injured recently and was hospitalized. after practice, Hua visited him. Her father rambled on about her taking care of herself in a new city and told her not to worry about home.
Those caring words resonated with many in the chat, as many of their parents had said the same things. Hua looked no different from them; growing up in such a simple family, she was originally a normal girl. It was truly hard to reconcile her with the warrior she would become. But the audience soon understood. People change. Kevin was a perfect example—high-school Kevin was a sunny, popular hunk, yet he turned into a demon obsessed with revenge. Clearly, Hua becoming her later self was the result of a major catastrophe. The audience was already curious about the previous civilization; although they knew it was doomed, they wanted to know the stories of the heroes who fought.
The memory felt incredible to Kiana, as it differed greatly from her impression of the Monitor and the timeline didn't match. This was a much older memory. Lin Zhaoyu explained that these were "Heart Seals" left by the Celestial. To inhibit the growth of her memory, she filtered them and left some on the mountain. Over the years, many Seals had been left on Mount Taixuan. Lin Zhaoyu sent the two to find them.
Bronya believed the feather they found first was "alive" and wanted to convey a message. Thus, to find the truth, Kiana and Bronya searched for feathers to explore Hua's memories. Hua, after transferring to the new school, found herself out of place. Though she mustered the courage to join conversations, she was excluded. This feeling of being outside the group, alone and friendless... made Kiana feel terrible. even now, Fu Hua was like that. Bronya didn't understand why Fu Hua would specifically leave these sad memories behind. Kiana also sensed something was wrong. These memories felt like they were intended to make them understand Fu Hua better.
In the memory of the next feather, they saw Fu Hua during her time as a MANTIS. she had just experienced the crusade against the Eleventh Herrscher. she was deeply dissatisfied with Dr. MEI's actions. Kevin tried to comfort her, but she found it hard to let go. Previously, the Seventh Herrscher—the Herrscher of Flame—had been Fu Hua's captain. she was Fu Hua's benefactor and Kevin's comrade. When they met her, the captain could still recognize them; her tone and voice were her own. Fu Hua believed a Herrscher wouldn't be like that. Yet despite that, Fire Moth still killed her.
["she became a Herrscher, Hua. you know it in your heart. I had no choice."]
["It was the Doctor's order, I know. So I obey, but I do not understand. At least that right belongs to me. Kevin, do not bind the Doctor and yourself together. you do not need to ask for my understanding on her behalf, and she does not need it anyway."]
Fu Hua's emotions were as cold as ice. she stared at Kevin, speaking word by word. ["Rather than me, she should ask the soldiers who breathed their last on the operating table, the warriors twisted by Meta-Morph genes, the warriors who died holding the 10th Divine Key... if they understand her."]
This memory made many in the chat sigh.
[Sigh, it seems the previous civilization paid a heavy price to fight the Honkai.]
[Dr. MEI also broke taboos and performed human experiments... and in high school, she wanted to be a scientist who brought happiness to humanity...]
[Honkai changed so many people. Fu Hua, Kevin, MEI... Sakura and Rin... even the fate of humanity...]
[But what I don't understand is, were there really no Herrschers fighting for humanity in the past? Fu Hua said her captain still had human consciousness... couldn't they have convinced her to fight for us?]
[No idea. Based on what we know, there were none... but it's strange. If previous Herrschers were all enemies, why are so many in this era on our side?]
[Sigh... to be honest, seeing Kevin like this makes my heart ache. Back then, Kevin was quite empathetic and would comfort Fu Hua...]
Unlike the audience, Senti's focus was uniquely strange. "So, that Hua's memory is of the Old Antique during her girlhood before becoming a MANTIS, right?"
As she spoke, Senti's gaze fell on Fu Hua beside her. Looking at Fu Hua's flat chest, she couldn't help but sigh. "I didn't expect that from 50,000 years ago, the Old Antique was already a Shenzhou Flatboard. Zero change to this day... where did those 50,000 years of life go?"
Her comment made Fu Hua's face turn black. Her knuckles cracked as she clenched her fist. Is this child asking for a Cloud Slasher right now?!
