"Tair, how did you know I was in the city?" Idir asked.
"I know the City Lord tasked you all with catching the killer, so I came over specifically to help you out," Tair replied.
"I see. But we aren't moving until tonight," Idir said.
"That's fine. You can walk me through your plan so I know how best to coordinate with you."
"Alright."
Idir gave Tair a brief rundown of their operational plan.
"Is your female not acting with you?" Tair asked.
Idir shook his head. "There are quite a few beastmen to catch this time, so we've split up. Nina is with some of the other husbands."
A dark glint flashed through Tair's eyes. "No matter. You have my help."
Idir patted Tair on the shoulder. "Your strength has improved a lot over the years! You've even become an elder."
"I've worked harder these past few years," Tair smiled. "Since I lack innate talent, I had no choice but to grind through cultivation."
