Kael shifted beside me, breaking the silence. "Selena hasn't come back from training," he said, voice low, almost hesitant.
Ronan shrugged, trying to make it sound casual. "She's been pushing herself lately. Maybe she lost track of time. You know how focused she gets."
Edris didn't say a word at first. He stood a moment longer, head slightly tilted, sensing something that had nothing to do with timing or training. Then it came—the tug through the bond, subtle but insistent, threading beneath his skin, calling out in a way that left no room for doubt.
