The King and Queen had offered their home to Marix and Eilownia. After finishing their meal, a servant was sent to retrieve their items from the inn. Meanwhile, Eilownia was given ankle and back massages to help with her swelling and aches.
They were put in one of the extra rooms with a large bed with a frame made of pink crystal. Eilownia had been completely enthralled with the crystal furniture designs and told Marix she felt like she was in a fairytale, just before drifting off to sleep.
The sound of the waves and birds singing throughout the night had created a soothing lullaby. That combined with the firm mattress and abundance of pillows propped around Eilownia had allowed her to fall into a deep sleep.
It was the first time she'd gotten real rest in months and Marix couldn't help but watch her for a while, propped up on his elbow.
After a few minutes, he kissed the top of her head and decided to head downstairs and learn more about her and his future in-laws.
